Home sharing on Apple TV 2 from PC drops out

I tunes has been updated today along with Apple TV 2. I used to be able to stream pictures along with music before one of the upgrades. What happens now is the the streaming begins and within a minutes or two it drops out. I go to the computer and have to shut off home sharing then re-sign on. That gets it going again, but with a few minutes same thing over and over. rebooted router and computer and apple TV does not help. I would sssume one the upgrades has gone wrong Any thoughts or fixes HELP!

Going to try a signal booster this all started with the TV upgrade. The only reason for the network booster is because iPhone 4 freezes in facebook once and a while. I am trying to solve this problem for my brother my system works with my airport and imac with no issues yet. All brand new.

Yes, you can copy songs that you ripped from a CD to your Home Sharing computer.
Turn on Home Sharing first on both computers. To do that, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password.
Now go to your computer that you want to copy the songs to and connect to your Home Share. You can do that by clicking on the popover button located at the left top corner right below the play control buttons. Click on it and scroll to the bottom until you see your Home Share and select it.
Go to Music in your Home Share. Select the songs that you want to copy in your Home Share and click Import at the bottom right corner.

Same here. iPhone, Mac Mini and Apple TV3 are all up to date. Logged in and out on each device and home sharing and airplay still don't work at all. Nothing shows up in the remote app. They're all on the same network and have been. The only thing I can think of is the most recent ATV firmware update, but why would my phone be unable to see my computer??

Home Sharing on Apple TV (2) drops out after playing iTunes music and photos for about 3 minutes. iTunes says Home Sharing is on, but the only way to get it going again is to turn off Home Sharing and sign in again to Home Sharing when it will work for another 3 or 4 minutes maximum. Need help to setup home sharing for apple to put in my apple ID and password but came up unable to turn on home sharing reentered it all but the same message keeps coming up not sure what to do.

Yes, I did (turning off and then on again is a way of life for any windows user!). Actually, through a process of trial and error I have fixed the problem although I'm not very comfortable with the fix. For some reason, the OS X firewall is to blame. By relaxing the firewall settings to their most lenient, the iTunes store is now fully accessible via iTunes, and so is the whole of the apple website. Another added side effect has been that general web browsing is now lightning fast.
I'm therefore left with the (temporary) conclusion that my iMac's internal firewall is only capable of blocking access to the web resources of the people who created it, and slowing my web browser to a crawl.

You can't do this yourself; if desired, you can ask the iTunes Store staff if they'll do it, but they probably won't.
