Home wifi not working ios6 on iphone 4

i installed ios6 on my i phone 4 and ever since i cannot log on to my home wifi- local pub wifi works fine but home no good
ive tried the proxy to auto fix and no joy,hard reset doesnt work. any clues when a 6.01 fix will come out.
very annoying -may have to go the Samsung route(i know i know but too many mistakes to often) ive been apple for ever

Goose, heads up... this is a user to user forum... I point this out, because your threat to go to samsung will not ever be seen by anyone associated with Apple. AND the users here, with the knowledge to help you, will not when they see something to do with anything other than Apple products...
You need to trouble shoot your phone and router. Perhaps, you are running on a security path with your router thats no longer supported by apple. Update your security settings to WPA2 if possible. you will see an increase in speed. on your phone, "forget this network" then reset network settings, and then restart your phone. SHould be your fix.

In case your problem is not hardware related, here's a way to recalibrate your home button. Hope it helps!!
Open a stock iOS app (Weather, Stocks, Clock, etc.). Once the app is open, press your iPhone’s power button until the ‘slide to power off’ screen appears. From that screen, press and hold your Home button until iOS force quits the stock app you have open. You’re done!

After working great why will my home share not work on my iphone and ipad mini

I had been running home share on my iphone great. I share a music library with my wife. We just bought an ipad mini and i was messing around with the ipad and set up home share, however it would not work. I tried logging out of my iphone and re connect and it will no longer connect. I have not been able to get home share to work on the mini.
I have browsed all the feeds, but not getting anywhere.

my computer, ipad, and ipod all say that when i connect to my house wifi there is no internet connection yet when i try to connect my xbox and galaxy phone the wifi works just fine i called the wireless company and they told me that the router is working fine i habe no idea weather there is some sort of setting that i can change on the router or on my devices but if there is can someone help it would be much obliged

Check the time and date on your computer and make sure it's accurate.
What happens sometimes if your data and time are off, you get a DCHP lease for the IP address from the router to connect, then it quickly expires, making it appear you connect for a second and then get cut off.
The Mac gets it's time from Apple servers, however if it's not connecting, then it can't update the time and date.
Hopefully this will resolve your issue.

I just bought a iPhone 4s from Verizon and I got the home sharing but when I go into my family's library nothing is there. It is currently plugged into my families computer. How do I get the movies from here onto my phone? Ive done all the steps apple, and the other websites say to do.

Try signing out of Home Sharing on ALL devices, then sign back in starting with your Macs. Even if some devices work OK, doing this may help.

Additional testing i perform to make wifi work but nothing works out:
i did re-installing the software using iTunes, reset the network settings restarting the phone. Nothing solves my problem.
wifi was working with older software versions. i think there should be a problem with 8.1.1.
is anyone has fix for this issue?

What I don't understand is why the wifi isn't working?
I just got the iPhone 4S yesterday, I already have an iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 is consistently using my home wifi while I am at home PERFECTLY. My iPhone 4 is updated to the latest software too iOS 5.1.
My iPhone 4S will not connect to wifi. I am entering the right WPA user & pass. It is updated with iOS 5.1.
My iPad, iMac, Macbookpro, & iPod ALL have NO TROUBLE connecting to my home wifi.
I do not understand how this is a wireless router issue when it works with all of my other Apple devices BUT the iPhone4S?
I have tried everything under the sun, restart reboot, turn off, turn on, switch network off, switch it on, reset this, reset that?
PLEASE HELP ME! I have never been this disappointed in Apple (as you can tell I own everything by Apple, so I am quite the fan..)

Did you try another restore and this time not to restore from a backup and see if that makes a difference? This is what Apple would tell you to do next based on my iphone 5 fiasco.
Make sure all your data is available on your computer for manual syncing later.
Since you did the hard reset I assume that means your home button isn't broken only that it got frozen before. Were you able to get the Apple logo after the reset? Did it boot?
And you are using iTunes 10.7?

I have the same problemafter upgrade to IOS6.1. I guess now iPhone5 is on the market, Apple is probably rubbing they hands hoping that people will move on. I have bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 since and will not be going back to iPhone.

It seems that settings of mail accounts have something to do with it. I've delete my gmail account and am now using Microsoft Exchange. It seems better, yet not perfect. The issue is definitely due to OS 4.3.1
Apple answer is - no answer. It is a shame that the quality of their products, in terms of design and concept, is not match by a care for customers. It is not normal that I, as a customer, have to spend hours reading Apple Discussions forum to try to understand what the problem is. A little more respect for a customer that spend big $$$ buying their products wouldn't hurt.

Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.

I bought an iPhone 4 less than a year ago, then one day the home button randomly stopped working, I bought the warranty so I decided to call in and see what was wrong with it. The girl said that restoring the phone would correct the problem which it did. But it is only a temporary fix, it happens more often now. So I was meaning to call in soon, but the other day my phone fell out of my pocket IN CASE from a foot height and cracked the screen. I nearly threw up. All the years I have had a phone I have never cracked or broken one, strongest screen my ***. Anyway, if I contact them again now will they fix the home button problem? or will they say that the cracked screen is obviously the cause of the home button not working? which it is not!! I don't care about the screen being cracked its not on the actual screen just on the side so its irrelevant to me. Plus I heard it is outrageosly pricey to replace.
