Homemade movies with chapters question? I have numerous VHS movies converted to DVD and then are converting the DVDs into MP4 via HandBrake. I am now trying to find the chapters within the converted DVDS with no luck using QuickTime 7. Help plz.
How do I find the chapters within a Homemade DVD when it has been converted via Handbrake to MP4 and editing ready on Quicktime Player. I want to get chapters only out of the movie that has 23 chapters so I can edit one chapter at a time. . Found it once when it said divide into chapters (or something like this) , but can't find it again. Thanks for the help.

If you included the chapter information originally contained on the DVD as part of your HandBrake conversion, then it will be located in the "Text" track of your converted file. Did you actually check the "Chapters" tab in HandBrake before converting the DVD content to ensure the chapters were to be included in final export? I.e., not all HandBrake presets automatically include a "Text" (Chapter) track.

I have downloaded wechat a month a go and then deleted later on, but last night I needed wechat again so i try to download it but the very astonishing problem occurs in downloading that. In apple store when i search wechat there is written open on it right side instead of free or install. Please help me as soon as possible....If you are getting the 'open' option on the Purchased tab in the App Store app then that implies that you still have the app installed - you've checked all of your iPod's homescreens and app folders for it, and tried searching for it via its spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) ? Do any of those find it, or if you tap on the 'open' button does that open the app ?

I downloaded the free trial for Adobe XI Pro but now I cant find it on my computer or figure out how to use it. The only thing I see that downloaded is Adobe Download Assistant. How can I access the program?
Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI. By default they are saved to your download folder. You can begin the installation process from there.

Went to use my contacts and they are all gone! Changed iCloud accounts on Saturday, performed a backup and then synced my music only on iTunes via a PC. How do I find out if my contacts were really stored on iCloud? If so, how do I get them back?
Log into icloud.com and then click on the Contacts icon. If the list is empty, then it's gone.

Well, what other methods have you tried that didn't work? Frankly, your post reads as a hoax, but I have some extra time on my hands, and an idea. Make an appointment with the Apple Genius at your local Apple store. You could also bring your MBP to an AASP. Regardless, either one should be able to remove the bottom cover, and use a plastic thingy (dang, what is that tool called?) to push out the offending bit. -

I got a flashing folder with a question mark. I got a new hard drive and upgraded to 4 gigs and can't open anything or reload the operating system? Help? FYI: I have been using boot camp with windows 7 and started getting a kernal_data_Page_error and it would reboot windows, i was trying to do a chkdsk on the next reboot, but thats when i started getting this issue. I have put in a new hard drive and went from 2 gigs to 4. I can not get the computer to do anything, even the monitor does not show anything now????
Prep your new drive:
Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs,) then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Install OS X. -
My IPad 2, IPhone 3GS ans iPod no longer work with apple TV, I have 2 apple TV in my house and for he last 3 weeks the iPod was the only one we could use for appleTV now none of them works, the apple TV icon does not show up any more. Re-started everything.

RESPONSES:
1) When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2) I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3) So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

I work in the computer support section for the Military. The only problem is we use Windows , lol. Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover. I go back next month though I hope. I just recently up graded from AI CS6 to AI CC and I am having issues with my pen tool. If I create a starting point and then make another point it does not allow me to make the second point an end point. The pen tool stays active and I either have to click to isolate the path or I have to return to the first point and close the path. Please help.

If you cannot close the Pen Tool by switching to another tool, as a temporary measure you may try pressing P (for Pen).
To solve it, you may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

My maps are not showing buildings with clarity. They have no color. It's like my maps are outdated but my ipad is fully updated. I can't get the option of views in my ipad. Like the downtown view and stuff. Please help.
What locations are you seeing these "problems"? If the satellite photos are older or not as clear, you may see some of what you describe. Take a look at one of the major cities and see if they are also appearing as you describe. Someplace like New York, London, Paris. Those are among the cities that seem to be updated most frequently.
Incidentally, the maps are web/cloud based and not contained within the maps app on your iPad, so regardless of the version of your app, you will still get the most current map available. -
HELP!!!! I have spent hours trying to find out how to embed an image with a link, or embed a Microsoft Word document with a hyperlink built within the document -- not as an attachment into my email -- but where it shows as the email content when opened! Does ANYONE know the secret? Can it be done, or not? My PC clients do it all the time easily. Then I want to be able to send the embedded image/document (not as an attachment, but visable within the email when opened) to many email contacts at once, BUT the individuals receiveing them DO NOT SEE the other email contacts.
