Homepage will not load correctly

Everytime I start up Safari it will open up all windows that were open during my last session when I had quit the application.  It will also not open to the homepage listed in preferences as well when I start Safari.  Anyone know what is happening?  Thanks.
Jack

I assume you're running Lion, despite what your profile says. Close all windows before quitting, or hold down the shift key while launching Safari.

  • Webpages will not load correctly on any browser

    Hey all,
About 3 weeks ago I took the leap and upgraded my works PC from Windows 8 to 8.1 (as a test before doing the rest). Unfortunately since this time I've been continually encountering a major issue.
This issue is that webpages will not load correctly (about half the time). Since the day I upgraded I've had issues with this, across all browsers. Sometime a webpage will load, sometimes it'll partially load and sometimes it seems to have loaded but actually
hasn't (I.e. none of the links/inputs work). If I have an issue on a page, the only way I can get it to load is to click the stop button, navigate away from the page and then navigate back.
I've tries assessing the problem with Firebug and it seems that the HTTP transfer is being cut-off at a certain point (which is non-consistent). The webpage is then stuck in a state of 'Transferring data' and will never finish loading.
I've been looking around for answers and have come across some suggested solutions like running the All In One fix from tweaking.com, or flushing the DNS cache every few hours, but nothing is working.
Has anyone any suggestions for how I could fix (or even further troubleshoot) this problem?
    Thanks
    David

Photos from the Internet will not load correctly. I get white boxes with blue question marks inside. This has only been happening for the past 3 weeks so I'm not sure why it is happening.

Yes - email & text work fine but when I use something like Google Images or search a blog with imbedded photos I get the empty white boxes with question marks.  If I click the question mark it opens the photo but I can't possibly do that for EVERY image on EVERY page I search!?!?!  I've rebooted the iPad & my wireless card several times but neither action helped.  Have any clue what I should do now?

  • Certain pages will not load correctly (Low bandwidth)

All of a sudden, some web pages in firefox will NOT load up correctly. They seem to be low bandwidth or mobile versions of the actual page. My home page, including ebay and a few others are starting to do that. It is only characters, without images or pictures, and everything seems enlarged on the webpage. Ebay has fixed itself however other pages remain like this. Google chrome displays them correctly. What is going on? (ive put ONE of the pages below)

Check the version of Pages that you have. Many users are finding problems with the iWork apps in Snow Leopard due to not having the latest updates as of the September 28 installed. For iWork '09 it's Pages 4.0.2 & Numbers 2.0.2. iWork '09 has since had update 3. I don't use Keynote, but it should also be updated. If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. They must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work. You also should consider updating Snow Leopard to 10.6.1.
After applying all of the updates use Disk Utility to repair permission.

  • I don't believe firefox is the issue but for some reason pictures and certain websites will not load correctly. Why?

''Duplicate post, continue here - [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/810160]''
This just started happening a few days ago. When I go to facebook the pictures are distorted and nearly impossible to discern who is in them. I also go to many different websites that do not load correctly. Not sure if it's java, adobe, or something else but it makes browsing the internet not fun. HELP!

I have the same problem. It seems to be due to FireFox 4.0 being unable to load certain embedded content, which Firefox 3 was able to load properly.
I've been having problems loading any website that includes embedded content from worldnow.com, for example.

  • Itunes Store will not load correctly.

I only seem to be having this problem since I updated iTunes on my computer. For some reason, iTunes Store either will not load or will load incorrectly. The progress bar at the top of the screen only goes about halfway, and if the Store does load, the screen is very disorganized with all the links in blue lettering and no pictures of anything. I'm using Windows XP (if that makes any difference) and my iTunes model is 9.03 (or something like that) Can anyone help?

Clicking the links didn't seem to do anything. The progress bar appeared and kept on going, but nothing loaded.
I've tried everything for this problem. The Parental Control trick isn't working, the ItunesPrefs trick isn't working, and when I go and do all those tricks in the control panel it also doesn't work. I've done everything short of re-installing iTunes. I'm really at a loss.

  • Webcam websites will not load correctly

    Hi!
Every website that I try to access live web cam shows, while
    using IE 6,
that uses the flash player, either will time out, or load
quickly and then time out, or I get performer has left, when they
    really haven't.
Other errors I get are 'unauthorized domain',
I have tried right clicking and giving access to that site.
    Nothing works.
Now, here's the kicker. ALL of these same sites and cams work
    in firefox.
Is it possible there is a setting in IE that is not correct?
I just reinstalled my XPSP2 so all of my settings in IE 6
    medium,
    with ActiveX set to prompt.
    Thanks for your help!

  • My ISP homepage will not load, and I have a hard time getting to my email inbox

My ISP is Wildblue, through Directv.net. I am having trouble with the log-in page loading, (iGoogle.com) and have to keep reloading and hitting the back button. Then the same thing happens when I try to bring up my email inbox. When I first got Firefox, I did not have this problem, but now it is every time I try to log on.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

  • Imovie will not load correctly

    Hi
imovie 11 was playing well until a few days ago. Now, when it loads, only the tabs load. The screen remains as my desktop. I can go to a tab, such as edit, and create a new movie clip, and then I will see imovie appear out of the top right corner of my screen. However, when I go to create a clip, for example, imovie appears to close into the top right corner of the screen again, with only the tabs remaining. I can hear the clip audio playing, but cannot see anything other than my desktop. No matter what I do, I cannot get the image on the screen.
    Ideas?
    Thanks!

How did you accomplish the move? Is this a new drive for the same computer? Is this on a different computer? Are there two drives in the same computer? Need more information

  • How come when I export my WebHelp, it will not load correctly in the Google Chrome browser?

It seems to only be an issue with the Chrome browser. The help works in both IE and Firefox. Since Google Chrome is a very popular browser and many people have it set as their default, this is quite disconcerting.
I am using RoboHelp Version 9.0.2.
    Thank you.

  • Firefox will not load pictures, videos or more than one tab at a time. Help!

    Hi there,
I have reinstalled Firefox 3.6 a few times, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. When I try and load a site with pictures, videos (such as YouTube, but including a blog post with pictures), or more than one tab at a time, I just get "Untitled" tabs that don't even register the address. This happens especially when clicking to open a link in a new tab from a Google Reader.
At this point too, a lot of pages will not load correctly; even Firefox Help as it turns out!

Sorry there is no telephone support. You could try the IRC if you want a quick response, ( whilst it is [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/ask open] )
Firefox 4 is not supported, but firefox 3.6 is

  • Is anyone having problems with Firefox today? My websites are not loading correctly

Firefox just isn't working right today. My home page (yahoo.com) will not load correctly, nor does a university site for a course that I am teaching online. I can do both of these if I use Internet Explorer.

    Hi ritawickham,
We've actually put together a troubleshooting section for [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/web-pages-dont-load website loading issues]. Have you had a chance to browse the documents there? If not, you should take a look. There is a lot of useful information.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Pages do not load correctly in Win8

From time to time, when I go to a webpage, it will not load correctly. It will look as if the CSS file has not loaded. Gmail won't load at all; it gets stuck at the loading bar. I'm using Firefox 18, Windows 8 x64. The problem also happened with 17. It does not occur on any computer besides my Windows 8 machine.
If I clear the cache of the last hour, the problem is fixed temporarily. If I ctrl-F5, the problem is fixed temporarily.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I have deleted and created a brand new firefox profile. I have cleared all caches and cookies. I have used the "Reset Firefox" button under the Troubleshooting Information. None of these have fixed the problem.

So far after about an hour of testing, Windows Safe Mode has resolved the problem. However, since I do not know the cause, I cannot intentionally cause the issue to crop up.
I will say this: I already have Windows Defender and Firewall disabled during normal use.

  • Spry submenu not loading correctly in IE

    Solved: check out this link
    http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/191/857297
    QUESTION:
Hi, I am new to spry and this is my first menu.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why the submenu will
    not load correctly in IE.
It is loading at the top of the page instead of under it's
parent tab in the horizontal menu.
It is working great under FF and Safari. *links removed
Any help would be great. I tried an IE statement, but
couldn't get it to work in the css. Probably user error.
I found out if I fiddled with the margin numbers of the
following css code that I could get the submenu to drop to it's
spot in IE, but then it would also drop in FF too. What a pain. My
menu is in a table if that makes any difference.
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul ul
    margin: -5% 0 0 95%;
    z-index: 1020;
I built a test spry menu from scratch and didn't change any
of the css information and the submenu would still load at the top.
Please, any help would be great. I really would hate to start
    another menu from scratch.

I had the same problem and finally just gave up on the Spry

  • There are some mobile websites that do not load correctly on my Android phone in firefox.

I have a website that the mobile version will not load correctly on my phone: http://m.fabulousfox.com/. It is not that big of an inconvience since I can load the desktop version and that works fine, but I thought you could take a look at the site and see what the issue is. I have a SGS3 running Android 4.1.1 and Firefox 18. On the mobile site all I get is the title header and a blank page. The page does show up in chrome correctly.

May be the site don't have the Mobile version of their website.
