Homeshare login problems with my new Apple TV (2nd gen)
My Apple ID is my first name, a space and then my last name. The problem is when I attempt to login, there is no space button (button is occupied by the "dot com" button). The underscore button and the dash button do not work. I spoke with tech support and they said I need to wait for a SW update but had no other info. Has anyone heard about any work-arounds? Any word on a SW update ETA?

I have a problem with my new Apple Air. It usually takes few seconds for the laptop to be untouched in order to be locked. So, sometimes when the screen starts to get dim in order to lock, I immediately touch the keypad to avoid locking the laptop, the result is a black screen appears with no responding to anything from pressing the keyboard to pressing the touchpad. It takes few minutes for the laptop to open again and then a message appears saying that there was a problem with the lock security.
What is happening exactly?It sounds like your sleep timers are set to too low of a value. Go to System Preferences -> Energy Saver and set both timers to longer times. The computer sleep timer should be a longer time than the display sleep timer.

Problem with driver for ipod nano 2nd gen on windows xp
Every time i plug my ipod into my computer i get a message saying that theres a problem with the driver for an unknown usb device.

I tried that but it didnt do anything my ipod comes up as unknown device in the device manager and thats the only place it shows up no where else -

First of all, excuse my english, I'm from Spain and I don't use to speak/write it.
I've bought a second hand Apple TV from someone in my company. The first thing I've did was complete fabric restore. After that, when I plugged it on, it starts correctly, but when I'm watching a sample music video o a movie trailer sometimes the image has little crashes (like cuts). It's strange, because before, de ATV downloads all the movie as I can see in the progress bar... The other thing I've noticed it's that I've tried to upgrade the firmware, it came with the 1.0 one (maybe those cuts are a firmware bug...), an error appear in the screen after it has downloaded the new firmware, just when I click with the remote in "apply upgrade now". Maybe I may try again...
Are these two things normal?

The progress bar is not the whole video, just the video buffer filling, so if you have a slow connection (like me) you'll find it might stop and start despite the blue bar filling to the right.

Slow streaming problem with New Apple TV (2nd Gen)

I'm using an ADSL 4meg link to my house. Sustained download speeds from most decent websites comes in well over 300KB/sec I can preview movies from Itunes, using my IMAC wirelessly using Netgear DG834/g router within seconds...Using Apple TV the Preview takes well over a minute, and to download a Standard Def movie takes 3 hours, which is really annoying, why is this when the same kit/infrastructure can view YouTube content within seconds. Using Ethernet makes no difference to the download time, (for those that were gonna suggest a Wireless Router problem). I've read these threads and Apple themselves suggest a 2MB link or over is adequate. Has anyone come across this, can advise. I've just today downloaded the 4.1.1 update, makes no difference.....HELP...PLEASE....Easy...slow internet speed with slow wifi router = looong download times. Do the maths :
Average SD movie size approx 1.5 GB (1500 MB)
Average HD movie size approx 3.5GB (3500 MB)
Your advertised internet speed is 4Mbps = 0.5 MB/s. Rarely you can get that advertised speed. Let say you can reach an optimistic average of 0.25 MB/s (250 KB/s)
1500 MB / 0,25 MB/s = 6000s = 100 min so approx 2 hours. On top of that, if your router doesn't work at full speed because distance from the Apple TV, walls, interference, etc.....= long download times.
For those who complain about long download times with HD movie, repeat the same exercise and you "will see the light". And by the way, hopefully you are kidding when you compare Youtube content with iTunes store content.

Problems with sound on iPod Touch 2nd Gen
After the most recent update, the sound on my iPod doesn't work anymore. I restored it to original and it cured my battery problem. The sound meter came up right away, but disappeared right away. I can shut it off for awhile and the sound comes back, but disappears right away again. What is going on? Does anyone else have this problem? The sound meter is there, so it is not a hardware problem. Will a new update take care of this or am I just up a creek without a paddle? Any and all information is appreciated.
ThanksI just updated my iPod software and now I have sound, but not thru the speaker. Just headphones work, which is OK. Problem solved for now.

I downloaded apps with one appleid on my iphone. When my account was disabled I set up a new appleid & account. Now I cannot update apps on my iphone that were downloaded with original appleid when I login with my new apple id. What do I need to do?

Since the applications were purchased on the older account, you will need to log into that account to update them. The newer account will not recognize the purchases because they are not a part of the purchase history for the specific account. -

Sounds more like you have a problem with your apple id. For starters go to that page click manage my apple id and singn in. If you can't sign in reset password.

I have an iPhone 4s. The email I need to use is completely locked because Windows believed someone else was trying to use my account (another reason Windows and I don't seem to get along). Anyway, I think my little sister may have accidentally clicked "Forgot my Password" while trying to download an app on my iPad that was under the same ID. So, an email was sent to my old hotmail account that is lockedried unlocking it, but the alternate email that was listed was an old one of my moms and she can't remember what her username was. I tried answering security questions on my Apple ID to maybe get my password to reset that way, but - since I made this account when I was about 12 or 13 - I can't even begin to remember what the answers to the security questions are. (And before anyone gets on a pedestal about how I was too young to be doing something like this, I did have parent supervision and wanted something like this of my own, so lets stick to the ACTUAL problem). So, main problem here. I now have about 30 app updates that are under an account I basically have no access to. I've deleted the apps from my home screen and tried downloading them with my new Apple ID, but it shows as if it's stored in the cloud and will only let me download it from the old Apple ID. Is there any possible way to dissociate my apps from my old ID and associate them with my newer one WITHOUT completely resetting my phone?
You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -

Report Status: 0There certainly is a problem with itunes. I downloaded 9.2 and now it won't open. It won't recognize my iphone, either. I uninstalled it in the order recommended by the site, no joy. Deleted a configuration file, no joy. System Restore, no joy. All other software and hardware on the machine is working fine. I call AppleCare AND a local store, either they are completely clueless (which I doubt), or they have no idea how to fix it. I can't even back up my phone, or use the ipod. And since no one at Apple seems to care enough, I'll have to wait until the clamor is loud enough for them to even admit to a problem before I can use the ipod again.

I wonder if i am the only one experiencing a little problem with the new Pages?
My problem is that every other time i want to correct the font lets say trying to underline or make the font fatter using the hotkeys "Command+B" or "Command+U" or "Command+I", or even changing it manually in "formats" my font gets stuck, and i have to copy-paste text from another pages-file into my old one to get et back to normal.
Anyone else tried this?

Problem with the new server UCS C220 for set IP to CIMC

We’ve a problem with the new server UCS C220.
We bought two servers UCS C220 M3 for CallManager 8.6 with High Availability.
When we turn on the server during the boot and when it tells us, oppress F8 to enter at the CIMC and set the IP. But it never enters at the CIMC.
Then, we configure our DHCP server and our switch, we connect the three gigabyte ports to our switch to give him an IP to the CIMC, so and then can enter via browser, but neither works.
Note. The dedicated management NIC does not link, the other two ports do make link.
What do you suggest to put an IP to CIMC and start installing our applications?
regardsYou may have noticed that there is no DVD rom on the c220. What you need to do is:
Login into the CIMC from your browser
Luanch the KVM
Insert the VMware DVD in your machines drive
On the KVM pop up there should be a tab to mount the drive, after mounting it click on Macros and choose ctrl_alt+delete to restart.
After the VMware OS installs press F2 to enter IP.
Browse to the VMware ip to download the Vsphere client
Open the Vsphere client, enter the ip of the vmware and the username will be root and no password if you did not set one.
You can now upload OVA templates or manually create virtua machine from this enviroment.

Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!
