Homeshare what a great idea it could have been!
Ok got it ATV2 updated through my macbook by doing a restore. Funny thing is and the one thing I was so excited about seeing apple fix is still a disaster. Play 2 songs via Itunes on my ATV2 and the connection drops. Home share/lion is just ridiculous.
Hi, I've got my router hardwired to my ATV2. I'll try changing channels see what happens. It is definately my router as i'm at the office and my computers wi-fi is working fine. I can even put my macbook into sleep mode and take it out and it reconnects. Just have to suss out the router!

For the last 3 days I have been unable to launch Safari. When I try to open the browser a box appears that states Safari quit unexpectedly. It could have been from an issue with the plug_ins plug in. Please try to relaunch. Not sure what to do.
I don't know what "surees" issue is but my safari won't open since I installed the latest update from Apple. Here is my log. Maybe you can help me with this one....

I have recently upgraded my mac and ipad to IOS7 and find that Safari will not load onto my iPad. It just shuts down the app. Any ideas? I have been onto Mac who took me through a very long iPad robot, but the problem is still the same! Help appreciated
Do you mean that you did a soft-reset ?
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't fix it then try closing Safari via the iPad's multitaskingbar and see if it works when you re-open it :double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the Safari app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
After trying the above you could also do a soft-reset (even if this is what you've already done it might be worth trying after clearing Safari's cache and closing the app via the taskbar) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
I believe my apache server could have been hacked. Is there a member of the community that could take a look at the paste of my http.conf file. Thanks so much
# Mac OS X / Mac OS X Server
# The <IfDefine> blocks segregate server-specific directives
# and also directives that only apply when Web Sharing or
# server Web Service (as opposed to other services that need Apache) is on.
# The launchd plist sets appropriate Define parameters.
# Generally, desktop has no vhosts and server does; server has added modules,
# custom virtual hosts are only activated when Web Service is on, and
# default document root and personal web sites at ~username are only
# activated when Web Sharing is on.
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "log/foo_log"
# with ServerRoot set to "/usr" will be interpreted by the
# server as "/usr/log/foo_log".
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
# at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
# httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
ServerRoot "/usr"
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>

The damageHandler needs to invalidateSize because the damage could have been caused by a programmatic change which would not have gone thru the EditManager. Need to make sure invalidating the size and remeasuring doesn't cause another damage event to avoid an infinite loop.

flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/spark/src/spark/components/RichEditableText.asMy daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

I have an old iphone and have a new one as well. I would like to use my old on as an ipod but itunes not longer recognizes it. Any ideas? I have been using it for a month with no problems until tonight. I restarted my computer..still no fix.
Looks like its fixed. I am syncing it now. A lot of the answers are for the new iphone so i had to mess with a bunch of settings as well. My old phone is now an 8 gig ipod. the books app no longer works and that *****.....but better than nothing...

What do I do when I have been double charged by itunes? I had bought a prepaid card and applied it to my account. I then purchased some music and the next day realized that they took money out of my prepaid account and also charged my credit card. What should I do?
You can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
-
So there are all these songs, from ADELE to Zapp and Roger. I don't recall purchasing any of them. Some of them were clearly purchased years ago by my daughter, who now has a different account (and doesn't know the current password to my account).
They do not show up anywhere in iTunes except on the iPad. They are not downloaded to the iPad - but I don't want them to show up in the purchased index. How do I get rid of them? Do I have to join iMatch or whatever to do this?
Also, this may explain why we're being told our iCLoud storage is full - there are actually hundreds of these unwanted songs.
Any ideas?Purchased music does not count against your iCloud storage and you cannot get rid of them in the purchased tab.
What is backed up
You get unlimited free storage for:
Purchased music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books
Notes: Backup of purchased music is not available in all countries. Backups of purchased movies and TV shows are U.S. only. Previous purchases may not be restored if they are no longer in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.
Some previously purchased movies may not be available in iTunes in the Cloud. These movies will indicate that they are not available in iTunes in the Cloud on their product details page in the iTunes Store. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.

Hi Fellow Mac lovers!
I bought my black MacBook from a retailer about a month ago and last week it broke down on me The computer suddenly shut down and shortly after a burned kind of smell started oozing out from the fan area, after this it was completely dead and imposible to turn on. And I have only had it for a MONTH! I immideately called the support no. of the retailer and they asked me to turn the MacBook in, which I did. They are going to try to repair the computer and only if this is not possible are they going to give me a new one. However, I have told them that I want a NEW MacBook whether the defect one is possible to repair or not but they seem reluctant replace me w/ a new one. The insurance company says that this falls on the warranty since the computer was so new and that the error was automatic so to speak, and hence the responsibility lies on Apple.
My question to You is shouldn't I be replaced with a new MacBook?? What do you think? What would have done in my position?
I really miss my Mac and this whole thing is really embarrassing since I heavily promoted my new MacBook and everybody was so amazed by it. My younger brother who is an anti-mac freak laughed his *** of and gave me the classic "I told you so".
Thanks for your time and I really appreciate any answers.
Kind regards,
LeoHowever, check this page out
http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/martingibson. This guy
seems to have been replaced with a NEW MacBook
several times over fan noise complaints, and what
more - it looks like he got to KEEP THE "OLD"
COMPUTER AS WELL! So from this I do not really know
what to expect, maybe it is a better idea to take my
computer back and return it directly to Apple instead
as they seem to be way more generous?
This guy is presumably in the UK, in which the Sales of Goods Act applies. This means that customers are entitled to a refund or replacement (their choice) for goods which are not "fit for purpose" if the fault occurs within a "reasonable time". Most people would consider a month reasonable for a MacBook, but not for, say, a pint of milk! This legal requirement applies to whoever made the sale (Apple or a reseller), and supercedes any offer Apple make to provide a "no questions asked" refund within, say, 14 days. I've cited it to Apple in my own case: http://pentangle.net/macbook/.
So, as others have said in this thread, unless your local laws require it (e.g. the UK), Apple are unlikely to consider themselves obliged to provide a replacement. You might be able to persuade them though. -

I have tried to get a response from Apple concerning the " I must have the readable version of the Visual Voice Mail from Verizon" The I Phone 6 plus will not let the readable version of Visual Voice Mail from Verizon work on the phone.
Why what can be done to allow this to show on the IPhone6 plus screen. please someone solve this It should be so simple for the powers that built this phone. Simple but so important to the hard of hearing. This is a user-to-user support forum so you may want to submit feedback to Apple at https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Also, if Verizon is charging you for Premium Visual Voice Mail (which according to their website is currently the only one that offers voice to text) you should contact them for a refund as the "Check Device Compatibility" link at their http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/consumer/products/visual-voicemail.html shows that only 16 phones are supported and the iPhone is not one of them.
If you decide to switch phones, you may also want to consider that feature from Verizon only transcribes the first 45 seconds of a voicemail.
