Homesharing works in lan and wlan

Hello,
If you are sharing the library you have in a pc connected by cable to the local network, I only can see this library from my computers connected to the lan by cable. My iphone and my ipad cannot see the shared music.
I have tested it from a laptop. If I connect the laptop to the lan by cable, I see the shared music, but if I do it through wifi I cannot access to the shared music.
Am I doing sth wrong? Homesharing works like this???

No, home sharing doesn't work like that. Is your router creating different networks for wired and wireless connections.

LAN and WLAN not working

I'm working on a 64 bit HP Pavilion windows 8.1 OS.
The LAN and WLAN are not working properly. At first neither worked. After uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers the LAN worked, until I disconnected and reconnected the cable to the computer. After running sfc /scannow through windows 8 bootable cmd the WLAN would do the same as the LAN. It would connect, but after disconnect it wouldn't work properly. I checked to see if it was pulling an valid ipv4 and technically it is. It is pulling a 63 and not a 169. Although when hardlined it should pull a static ip of 50.115.146.xxx, but it is not.
I have run several Malware scans using Malware Bytes and have not turned up anything. I also did a Spyware scan using adwcleaner. I tried AML registry cleaner and junkware removal tool. I also tried netsh winsock reset and ntsh int ip reset C:\...

There search for your notebook model and install chipset driver, card reader, LAN driver and WLAN driver you can find on Toshiba WLAN portal on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
If you dont want to tell us which A100 do you have exactly you must search these drivers alone.

Simultaneous usage of LAN and WLAN

I have a T61 running win2k. The WLAN is managed by Intel Proset wireless. I have been having problems running the LAN and WLAN simultaneously. The WLAN connection drops off immediately if my LAN gets connected. I have to disable/disconnect the LAN to make the WLAN work again. I have observed this problem with a few other T61 laptops at my office. Is this a known issue ? What is the resolution ? Thanks.

Mine R61i with Vista can do that, but i can't seem to get it working in dual mode when using XP pro.

Satellite L300-145 (PSLB0E) - graphic card, LAN and WLan missing

I've recently reinstalled windows Vista Home Premium but now I have some drivers missing.
The graphic card and both Lan and WLan are missing.
I've download and installed both Lan and graphic card controllers but i can't find the right WLan.
The problem is that, the USB Wlan card is not reconnized and is showing as "Unkown Device".
I looked under the properties inspector and i found that product id shows 2 values: USB\VID_0BdA%PID_8197&REV_0200 and USB\VID_0BA&PID_8197 and is found at Port_#0006Hub_#0007 also, under name of fisical object i find it to be \Device\USBPDO-9.
I'm not totally sure that this is the Wlan card but since is the only thing that's working correctly i figure that's it. I've tried intel, antheros and realtek drivers, allways reinstalling the previous one so no conflicts would happen, but still nothing happens and windows still doesen't reconnize itm so
Please, what's the card name and where can I find the RIGHT controller for it?

First of all you really get all drivers for your notebook on the Toshiba website:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
The drivers are pretested so I can not imagine that none of them are working.
On this website http://www.pcidatabase.com I have searched for this vendor ID but I cant find anything. Only with the device ID 8197 it shows a Realtek WLAN card so I suppose you have to use this driver.
Please check it again!!! Make sure that you have installed SP2 at least and before you install the WLAN driver again, remove all other versions and clean the system using CCleaner.

Bridging LAN and WLAN

I am trying to get VNC working on my computers, but I need to bridge LAN and WLAN. I do not know how to do this. This is the first networking experience I have. Can someone point me in the right direction? I do not even know where to begin. Thank you in advance.

Just go to your network connections, Highlight the two networks, Right click, and Hit "bridge connections" hope this helps.

X3500 No Connection between LAN and WLAN

Hi hakanbayar. Can you ping your Linksys device? If yes and you're using a computer, you may need to disable the computer firewall or security so it will allow you to ping other computers.

Its your network and what ever meets your requirements you can use that.. however both of them does its job with different features involved.

Satellite C55T: Win 7 does not recognize LAN and WLan card

I have a problem.
Ive downgraded my Toshiba Satellite C55T-A5222 to Windows 7 64-bit and he didn't install many drivers.
The windows didn't recognize my network connection and he didn't install my wireless driver.
Maybe I need a chipset driver but I didn't find any drivers for windows 7.
Please help me!

If Windows 7 did not recognize the LAN and WLan card, you did not install proper drivers.
Satellite C55T-A5222 is US notebook model.

Here choose Drivers /& Updates and the filter by Windows 7 64bit (on the left)
Now you should get all Win 7 64bit drivers for the Satellite C55T-A5222

Its hard to understand what you mean by not working.
What does this mean exactly?
Are you not able to connect to the internet or what?
Usually if the WLan card and the LAN card have been recognized properly in device manager then the drivers are working fine and the issue could be related to wrong router configuration or maybe to some enabled firewalls, etc
Firstly I recommend checking the router settings. Check if the router has been configured with the right data from ISP and if all other common options have been set correctly.
The notebook supports Realtek Wlan and LAN card.
Check if Wlan card uses the same WLan standard like the WLan router and if right encryption has been used too.

Need info about LAN and WLAN cards on Satellite L300-12P

Can anyone tell me which network-adapter and which WLAN-adapter is used in the
Satellite L300-12p notebook and in the L300-17I notebook?
The best info would be the PCI\VEN and DEV -ID shown in Windows device-manager.

The LAN adapter is a Realtek RTL8102 Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)
The WLan is a Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11 b/g 54Mps USB 2.0 Network Adapter

LAN and Wlan drivers for pavilion 15 windows 10

i just upgraded to windows 10 64b and it couldn't connect to my wifi network, i used the cable, and didn't connect either .. i even used a usb modem from my mobile provider, and didn't even recognize it .. so i can't look for a driver online.. i had to roll back to windows 8.1 to be able to connect to internet ... i still can't download a driver manually for my laptob wlan . please help

Tecra A2 - Need XP drivers for LAN and WLan card

Hey,
I've got a rather old.. second hand Toshiba Tecra A2 laptop and apparently its in need of an ethernet controller and a network controller drive.
I've been using the toshiba website to download many drivers for this model laptop successfully.
I have installed them all - but i apparently still need these drivers. Where can i get them from.
Or where might i be going wrong in finding them?

Sorry - in fact on the toshiba driver downloads page, i downloaded the LAN driver etc, moved the download onto my laptop, extracted all folders and there was no installation device but only an un-installation device, as when i clicked it, it asks " do you want to remove all drivers for all wired intel PRO network connections?"
if i should continue with this what i thought to be un installation program.. let me know :)

Limited connectivity with LAN cable & WLan after Win and IE7 update

Dear all,
It's been now 2 days i'm trying to fix a new bug on my Satellite P100. I don't know if it's linked but yesterday I got the automatic install of IE7 and KB (914440 and 915865).
And since the restart of my computer i can't connect to the network neither through the ethernet cable or the wifi one. The network is present but the computer never gets an IP from my router and the dhcp. I have another computer running fine on this router.
When I use configfree util, and try a repair I have a freeze.
I have now unsinstall IE7 and the two KB, zonealarm. But still no changes, i always get this limiting or not existing connectivity.
Do you have any ideas on what I could test ?

Hmm. Did you try to reinstall the LAN and WLan drivers???
I found some nice advices in the internet It seems that some MS updates could have a bad influence on some drivers or change the registry entries and therefore some system troubles could appear.
What Lan card did you use?? Intel?? On the Toshiba driver page I found tosh lan driver and intel lan driver so if you use a Intel card you could also check the Intel website for an update..

Cisco ACS 5.1 802.1x auth fails on LAN when WLAN connected

I am running Cisco ACS 5.1 802.1x with certificate based authentication for Wired and Wireless connections. The issue that I am having is that when a user comes in from home with their laptop the wireless connection works, they pass the authentication and have network access fine. But when the plug the laptop into a docking station the LAN connection fails and gets put in the Auth Failure Vlan.
A reboot of the phone/ shut/no shut fixes this, but I really need to find a resolution
This is an intermittent fault and only effects users with both LAN and WLAN enabled.
Running ACS 5.1.0.44, all Cisco 3750s - c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE.
Certificates are issues by group policy and only using computer authentication.

After a long TAC case with Cisco we discovered that the Mitel phone was not sending the EAPoL-Logoff packet so the switch still thought that the device off the back of the phone was connected.
There are no EAPoL-Logoff messages seen on switch when laptop is disconnected/port is shut down.

This feature is supported by most IP phones - I do not know if Mitel phones support that but we cannot see this message in the debugs you sent.
As a workaround we can configure inactivity timer (by default it is infinity):

Satellite U400 and WXP - no LAN no WLAN no internet

Hello everyone and thank you very much for reading my post.
I just bought a new Satellite U400-12R PSU40E and quickly clean installed winXP 32bit with SP2, the installation was flawless after changing the HDD mode into compatibility mode. Downloaded and installed all the drivers from this site for my model which included the network drivers Realtek for the wireless and the Marvel Yukon for the LAN. No yellow marks in the devise manager and the system is just perfect.
However, for the life of me, I CAN NOT connect this damn thing to any LAN or WLAN, the funny thing is when I connect the LAN cable in my office into it, the little icon in the tray shows connected and all the ip addresses are correct, even COMODO starts downloading updates automatically and completes the updates after a while but I can not surf the internet at all.
I even installed Firefox and chrome and with none of the 3 browsers I can browse the internet, even when all the anti virus, COMODO or windows firewall all turned off.
Please help me in anyway or tips or pointers I might have missed.

I finely solved the problem last night and just thought to update my thread just in case someone else had the same problem.
The cause of all this headache was none other then COMODO internet security. Even with the application fully closed and not loaded into memory it was still blocking everything. The moment I UNINSTALLED comodo, everything started working again.
I even read some threads in the comodo forum regarding this problem, but even when I gave full rights to firefox and ie, still it did not work.
Anyway I installed the free version of zone alarm and now everything is fine again.
