Honeywell Integration with Cisco IPT

Hi,
One of my customer has BMS fom Honeywell. He needs to integrate this system with Cisco IPT 8.6.
IP telephony system shall be capable of providing a software adjustable temperature setpoint at each telephony terminal, this point info shall be synchronized with the BMS in order to provide the telephony user the ability to adjust the room temperature setpoint from the telephony set, or from the room wall module, and the final value of the point shall be determined as of the final order received from one of the two destinations.
The link between the two systems, BMS and IP Telephony, shall be in one of the below methods:
•1-      Open protocol connection (BACnet, OPC DA, or Modbus)
•2-      SDK development tool provided by Honeywell Building Solutions.
How can the above be achieved? What components do i require to achieve the above functionality?
Appreciate your help.

Hi,
I am providing you with the below CUCM interop link, where in different product inetrop testing is done with CUCM and is supported.

  • Ask the Expert: C-Series Integration with Cisco Unified Computing System Manager

Welcome to the Cisco Support Community Ask the Expert conversation. This conversation is an opportunity to learn and ask questions about Cisco C-Series Integration with Cisco Unified Computing System® Manager (Cisco UCS® Manager) with Cisco experts Vishal Mehta and Manuel Velasco.
Cisco UCS C-Series Rack-Mount Servers are managed by the built-in standalone software, Cisco Integrated Management Controller (Cisco IMC). When a C-Series rack-mount server is integrated with Cisco UCS Manager, the IMC no longer manages the server. Instead you will manage the server using the Cisco UCS Manager GUI or Cisco UCS Manager command-line interface (CLI).
Cisco UCS Manager 2.2 provides three connectivity modes for Cisco UCS C-Series Rack-Mount Server management. The following are the connectivity modes:
Dual-wire management (shared LAN On Motherboard [LOM]): Shared LOM ports on the rack server are used exclusively for carrying management traffic.A separate cable connected to one of the ports on the Payment Card Industry Express (PCIe) card carries the data traffic.
SingleConnect (Sideband): Using Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI), the Cisco UCS Virtual Interface Card 1225 (VIC1225) connects one cable that can carry both data and management traffic.
Direct Connect Mode: Cisco UCS Manager Version 2.2 introduces an additional rack server management mode using direct connection to the Fabric Interconnect.

    Hello Sebastian,
The different modes of connecting C-Series with UCSM come into play depending on the type of infrastructure you already have along with C-Series and NIC model.
Cisco UCS C-Series Rack-Mount Servers are managed by the built-in standalone software, Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) .
Powerful features provided by Cisco UCS Manager can be leveraged to manage C-Series server by integrating  C-Series Rack-Mount Server with UCSM.
This not only gives you rich-feature set but also one management plane to operate UCS-B Series Chassis and UCS-C Series Rack Server.
You will manage the server using the Cisco UCS Manager GUI or Cisco UCS Manager CLI.
Cisco UCS Manager 2.2 provides three connectivity modes for Cisco UCS C-Series Rack-Mount Server management.
The following are the connectivity modes:
    •  Dual-wire Management (Shared LOM):
Shared LAN on Motherboard (LOM) ports on the rack server are used exclusively for carrying management traffic. A separate cable connected to one of the ports on the PCIe card carries the data traffic. Using two separate cables for managing data traffic and management traffic is also referred to as dual-wire management.

This mode is recommended when you have C-Server which does not  have or cannot support VIC 1225 card (such C-200 server)
    •  SingleConnect (Sideband):
Using Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI), Cisco UCS VIC1225 Virtual Interface Card (VIC) connects one cable that can carry both data traffic and management traffic.
This feature is referred to as SingleConnect.

This most recommended Integration model when using FEX and VIC 1225 card
    •  Direct Connect Mode:
Cisco UCS Manager release version 2.2 introduces an additional rack server management mode using direct connection to the Fabric Interconnect.
This mode will eliminate the need for FEX module as Servers are directly plugged into the base ports of Fabric Interconnect

  • Can i have IVR feature with ccm 6.0.1 integrated with cisco unity connection 2.0.1

    Hi
can i have IVR feature with ccm 6.0.1 integrated with cisco unity connection 2.0.1.
And tell me a solution  how can i go for IVR with this design.
    Thanks.
    veera.

Yes, you can have a basic IVR with CUC, no one can tell you how to design your CUC, that's up to you and your requirements.
All you need are call handlers, caller input and greetings.
If you need someone to do all this for you, engage with a local Cisco partner.

  • Facing issue in integrating with Cisco ISE

We are trying to integrate our product(Cisco Prime Infrastructure) with Cisco ISE for Authentication and Authorizations. We already support PAP/CHAP, and not trying to add support for EAP-TLS.
Currently during our integration, facing TLS payload errors. We are using jradius library for talk to Cisco ISE for authentication and facing the below TLS error in ISE logs. Tried with Cisco ISE 1.2 and 1.3 versions.
    Event                                    5400 Authentication failed
Failure Reason                  11500 Invalid or unexpected EAP payload received
DetailedInfo                      TLS packet parsing failed: total accumulated size plus this last fragment size is greater than expected total TLS message size
Any pointers to resolve this problem or any other free java based client library instead of jradius which is tried out successfully with Cisco ISE would also be great.

  • Afaria 7 SP3 integration with Cisco ISE

    Hi,
I am trying to find the configuration procedure that is needed for Afaria MDM to integrate with Cisco ISE 1.2.
    1. What service should be installed/enabled?
    2. Which port or service path (<IP:port/abc/xyz?>) it will listen for the communication from Cisco ISE?
    3. Cisco ISE uses REST API to communicate with Afaria. Does this require REST API installation or service activation?
    4. What type certificates are supported in Afaria for this integration.
    5. Anything that related to this topic.
Appreciate if someone can provide the configuration procedure or any information possible.

  • Integration with Cisco Call Manager?

We have Cisco VOIP phones and we would like to continue managing calls with Cisco Call Manager.  We currently have voicemail on Cisco Unity.  We currently have Exchange 2010, but plan to start using Exchange 2013 soon.
However, we would like to migrate voicemail service from Cisco Unity to Exchange Unified Messaging and also want to take advantage of most of the voicemail-related features of UM such as voice to text sent to email, voice mail waiting indicator light on
the phones and sending voice mail audio attachments to email.
Is Exchange 2013 Unified Messaging compatible Cisco phones that are managed by Cisco Call Manager?
We have 500 users and 2 Exchange 2010 servers (1 CAS and 1 Mailbox Server).  We now have a few Exchange 2013 licenses available in addition to our existing 2010 licenses that are already used on our existing 2 servers.  Can we keep the 2 existing
Exchange 2010 servers as they are and create a new Unified Messaging server on  Exchange 2013 in the same environment or do we need to upgrade all the 2010 servers to 2013 if we use Unified Messaging on 2013?

  • Strip @domain on LDAP Integration with Cisco ISE?

    Hi there ,
I got a WLC conntect with a Cisco ISE. There are two SSID authenticated against the ISE.
One SSID has AD-Integration as External Identity Source, the other SSID is authenticated through LDAP.
    Authentication ist working fine.
When an user authenticates through LDAP, he/she has to enter "username@domain". The protocol is EAP-GTC.
How can I change the ISE that the user has only to enter "username" and the "@domain" part ist already set on the ISE?
    Thansk a lot,

  • Strip multiple @domain used in username on AD Integration with Cisco ISE?

    Hi there ,
How to strip multiple domain suffixes from username through ISE with AD being used as external Identity Source. Username is being used in username@domain format.
Cisco ISE 1.2 patch 4 introduced strip prefix or suffix @domain realm from username through ISE with AD being used as external Identity Source. But the documentation is not updated for this feature. I am able to strip 1 domain suffix successfully but subsequent ones listed in the suffix list fails to get stripped.
    Any thoughts on the same.
    Thanks Kumar

In the ISE Under Administration > Identity Management > External Identity Sources
Choose Active Directory on the Left, Select your AD Server and select Advanced Settings
Under Identity Suffix Strip, Make sure Strip prefixes listed below: is selected (I know, it says prefix).
In the List of Suffixes box, enter your list of domain suffixes to strip.  The separating character is a comma (,).
If this doesn't fix your issue, then I am afraid that a call to TAC may be in order.
    *****UPDATE*****
Spaces are significant characters.  When listing domains, do so as such:
    @domain.com,@domain.local,@testdomain.com
    *****END UPDATE*****

  • Integration with Cisco IP Phones

Possible to integrate Lync to Cisco IP Phones?

Depends on what you mean by integrate.  You cannot directly register Cisco phones with Lync, but you have the following options:
Create a SIP trunk (or trunk through a gateway) and connect CUCM to Lync and then you would be able to call back and forth
If you want to repurpose Cisco phones to use with Lync then you can use a third party product from AudioCodes (SPS -
    http://www.audiocodes.com/sps ) or NET (SmartSIP -

  • Unity Connection Integration with CS 1000 and Meridian 81 - PIMG

I have a customer who have  (2) Nortel Meridian 81 and (1) CS1000  for their 3 locations along with Octal 350 servicing 2500 voicemail users today. Customer also has a  Cisco UCM in their network today which is servicing their wireless phone users.
UCM and CS1000 are networked together using Q.Sig trunks today. Customer is looking at replacing their Octal solution with a new Voice mail solution.
I was looking at integration documents for Unity Connection using PIMG.
In this  scenario, would I need 3 separate PIMG 's at the three remote sites and integrate it with Unity connection or Can I achieve this using just one PIMG at one of the sites, considering the three sites are trunked together using tie-trunks.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/integration/pimg/guide/cucintpimg090.html#wp1051831
    Appreciate any pointers/ help.

    Hi there,
Just to add a note to the great tips from Hailey (+5 Hailey!)
We are in the final stages of replacing our "old" Octel with Unity Connection, part of
which is integrated to our CS1000 and CUCM in a "Hybrid" deployment like yours
    Centralized Voice Messaging
Cisco Unity Connection supports centralized voice messaging through the phone system, which supports
various inter-phone system networking protocols including proprietary protocols such as Avaya DCS,
Nortel MCDN, or Siemens CorNet, and standards-based protocols such as QSIG or DPNSS. Note that
centralized voice messaging is a function of the phone system and its inter-phone system networking,
not voice mail. Connection will support centralized voice messaging as long as the phone system and its
inter-phone system networking are properly configured.
Setting Up a Nortel Meridian 1 Digital PIMG
    Integration with Cisco Unity Connection
    Attachments:
    cucwithnortel.pdf (308.1 K)
Centralized voice messaging provides voice messaging services to all users in a networked phone system environment. Connection can be hosted on a message center PINX and provide voice messaging services to all users in an enterprise assuming the message center PINX and all user PINX phone systems are properly networked. For a centralized voice messaging configuration to exist, a suitable inter-phone system networking protocol must exist to deliver a minimum level of feature support, such as:•Message waiting indication (MWI).•Transfer, which ensures that the correct calling/called party ID is delivered to the voice messaging system.•Divert, which ensures that the correct calling/called party ID is delivered to the voice messaging system.Other features may be required depending on how the voice messaging system is to be used. For example, if it is also serving as an automated attendant, path-replacement is needed as this feature prevents calls from hair-pinning.

  • SMS gateway integration with UCCX 7.0

I have a question, can we perform SMS gateway integration with Cisco Unified Contact Center Express 7.0 premuim license?

Just to enhance Somar's response a bit: The CCX Premium licnese activates an SMTP subsystem in CCX. This allows you to send emails from within a script. As long as the SMS gateway can accept SMTP you should be able to make it work.

  • Is it possible to integrate Nokia E62 with Cisco Call Manager 4.x?

The Nokia E-61 can be integrated with Cisco Call manager 4.x using a Nokia Call Connect 1.0 client.
1.Is it possible to do the same with Nokia E62.If it can be done, what would be the requirements?
2.Is Nokia E-62 PDA a Cisco Compatible Extension device?

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. You are right in saying that nokia and cisco are increasing the number of models supported.Infact the E65 has already joined the club. But my point of interest is the nokia E62 in particular. This Nokia E62 device
    1) does not support WLAN interface(while E61,E65 does).
    2) It is not Cisco Commpatible extension device.(I did not find E62 in the list of Cisco Compatible extensions.chk out the attachments for more info).
3)It is not compatible with Nokia Intellisync CAll Connect 1.0(while E61 and E65 are compatible.chk out the attachment for more info).
I found this rather weird and i wondered if Nokia E62 can be integrated with Cisco Call manager ,especially a device which is not Cisco compatible. The only possibility i can see from your answer is that the Nokia E62 might not be SIP enabled(correct me if i am wrong here!)
My objective is to send a message from a CUAE script to a nokia E62 device. Please excuse me if my posting is not in the right place.i would be highly grateful to you if you could give me pointers to an appropiate location where i can get my queries answered.

  • Cisco BE6k with CUCM 10.X integration with Siemens with Hipath 3350 and 3550

    Dear Experts;
We have one requirment from customer.
They have 4 branches with Siemens Hipath 3350 and 3550  PBX and they want to integrate with cisco CUCM 10.x.
The Head Quater with complete CUCM as IPT and branches with with Hipath 3350 and 3550  PBX.
CIsco TAC says interoperability doc is not available and also I can see tehre is no doc.
    TAC Reply  As below.
We do not have any documents about CUCM integration with Hipath 3350 and 3550 on our interoperability portal. This means that their integration with CUCM was never properly tested. So we can not confirm that all features will be working. But from CUCM perspective this is third-party device that can be integrated using SIP or ISDN (with Voice Gateway between them).
    Link for interoperability portal:

    Regards
    Debashis

If the Siemens supports SIP or H323 you can attempt to simply create a trunk between the systems and route calls via it.  If IP integration is not an option then as pointed by TAC integrate via PRI circuit (preferably QSIG). From CUCM side it will be just another GW, similarly from Siemens side.  You'll need to select which side is going to be ISDN network (I always use Cisco side) and then make the other side user.

  • CISCO IVR integration with Phoenix

I have phoenix application which is based on ISO 8583.
I have to integrate Contact-Center IVR solution with it.
I wanted to know, if such an itnegration was ever developed earlier and is it provided by CISCO or by 3rd party?
You can get more information about Phoenix from http://www.phoenix-interactive.com/.
    Thanks

    I know this already.
The problem is specifically about integration with Phoenix.
If you have or anyone who has some knowledge on the Phoenix side of integration as well.
What CISCO is offering, I know that.
But I want to know, if any real work for this integration has already been done.

  • Cisco Works Integration with MARS

Can cisco works be integrated with MARS. I mean cisco works is acting as a syslog server for some switches. Can mars pull the records from Cisco Works and use it for its co-relation

As Michael pointed out, configuring two syslog destinations on your switch is possible, and allows the switch to send to both CiscoWorks and CS-MARS simultaneously.  This affords the safety that should one system be down, the other system will continue to receive syslog events from the switches.  Should you not wish to configure two logging destinations on your switch, you could configure your switches to send their syslogs to CS-MARS and configure CS-MARS to relay the received syslog messages to CiscoWorks.  This options is outlined in the CS-MARS user guide:
