Hook iPhone to TV

My iPod came with a cable that allows me to hook up to the tv to do photo slide shows on the tv from the photos stored on the iPod.
Does anyone know if the iPhone will be able to do this?

This is what I dug up:
The 5 and 5.5 gen iPods had a TV out setting in the Video settings menu that you could turn on and route video through the headphone jack.
The new iPod Classic and the Touch do not do this they only route video via the dock connecter and there seems to be some lack of clarification as to whether or not you have to have a power adapter hooked up whilst routing video.. some reports on the iPod forums are saying that you also have to be plugged into power as well.
In any case, the iPhone is capable of routing video.. but needs to be enabled to do so via software.. so, William Young2 was correct. However it is my understanding that on these new models there will not be a TV Out menu feature, it will just be a function of having this new AV cable plugged in through the 30 pin connecter as they can detect what they are plugged into.

How do I hook my iPhone up to the tv? I bought iPhone digital AV Adapter and a HDMI cord and it claims that my iPhone it's not supported by an iPhone? My iPad2 and iPod will connect to it though? What am I doing wrong? Please help!!!

Use Do Not Disturb. You can set DND to only allow calls from people on your Favorites list, you would just need to add the work number to that list. See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5463. Not sure if it has been updated for iOS 7, but should be relevant. Hooking iPhone up to my new router

I just purchased the new 6th generation airport extreme. I have a 2nd generation square airport extreme I am successfully using to extend the network. The problem is it does not work for my iPhone 4s. My iPhone will connect to the new router, but not the relay. Any suggestions?

if you set it to extend the network then you should connect to the new router the other routers will extend the wifi range if the SSID you see as the new router

HT201401 hooked iphone up to computer to back up and says can not open because pairing not found. No info available on apple site as usual.

I am trying to back up my iphone before purchasing a new on. itunes on laptop states can not open phone because pairing can not be found. I have no clue what this means and can not find anything on Apple's site. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Accidentally overwrote iPhone with iPod on iTunes. How do I get my data back? Now iPhone acts like iPod.

Hooked iPhone onto Mac to download songs from iTunes. Accidentally restored it as the iPod previously used. Now all data, pictures, content erased from iPhone. Now it acts as an iPod. iPhone was never synced with the Mac nor backed up. It will now, but how do I revert to the old iPhone?

The hard drive cannot be damaged any further by simply removing it and then putting it back in. If it was getting progressively worse, it may now be at a point where the data is not accessible in any normal way.
Since your iMac is still covered by warranty until December, you need to get it fixed. That is the first step. Whether you can recover your data or not, you need a working iMac. Ask the Apple Store to give back the broken hard drive so that you can send it to a data recovery shop, even if you do not intend to do so. If Apple says they need to retain the old drive (since it is being repair under warranty), take it to an Apple authorized repair shop (who can do the same work under warranty) that will let you keep the old drive.
After getting your iMac fixed and working normally, you can try to recover the data. You may be able to access it through a USB or FireWire external case. But if the drive is not at least visible in Disk Utility, I don't think other utilities such as Disk Warrior and TechTool Pro will help.

Cable for iphone 4 video to tv

I can not get anything but audio when I hook iphone 4 to tv using Apple video cable?? What's the trick?

I have both the composite cable from Apple and also the component cable from Apple. With the original 4.0 software fresh from the ATT store, my iMovie videos that I shot and recorded on my iPhone could play out to my Samsung HD television using the component cables while running the iMovie app.
After the iPhone 4.0.1 update, I can no longer see the video, only hear the audio. Very disappointing.
I have mixed results when using playing the movies on my iPhone that I have in iTunes.
Anyone else have this recent trouble??

HT1454 iPhone to TV connection

I am having trouble hooking my iphone 4 to my HD TV. Got the Apple Digital AV Adapter to hook iPhone to TV's HDMI port but am only get sound and no picture. Am trying to stream PBS's "Sherlock" from PBS app.
I also tried to stream YouTube and get no sound and no picture. Any ideas?

We have watched many movies on our 31" tv from our phones with good results. The quality isn't the best, but if your looking for HD you wouldn't be watching it from a phone.
Oh, and the phone didn't act any different from when we watch videos without the tv connected.

Iphone 5 Passcode Fails

Cannot get daughter's Iphone 5 turned on as passcode does not do the trick. Hooked iphone 5 up to Itunes and it will not sync because there are too many files currently open. Entering passcode fails to turn on phone. Could installing new router have anything to do with it? But with Sprint 3g still passcode does not switch on homepage? thank U

Do you mean it says the passcode is incorrect? If that's the case, it's incorrect. It's a machine. It didn't just make up a passcode on its own.

That's a windows problem. It has nothing to do with the phone.
Could installing new router have anything to do with it?
I don't see how that could possibly be related.

What carrier it is has nothing to do with the passcode.
Perhaps you should tell us what the actual error is.

Duplicate contacts, original iPhone

One day my contacts duplicated themselves. I have tried to turn off push and sync with mobileme, and then hook iPhone to my iMac and check replace contacts with contacts from this computer. Regardless of my efforts I still have duplicate contacts and my ringtones always ring as the default even though the contact displays a custom ringtone, update to 3.01 didn't help either. I would restore and sart again, but I don't want to lose all my text messages (is there a way to copy these?)

Open "Settings" on the iPhone>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks>Accounts>your MobileMe account and turn off Contacts, when prompted delete data, and wait two minutes, then turn Calendars back on. When asked merge the data, make that choice, and wait patiently. You should no longer have duplicates. If you are able, I recommend using a Wi-Fi connection to make the change.

New Iphone, and new laptop, installed itunes Noprob,
Hooked Iphone to usb laptop found Iphone and installed and activated Noprob,All systems go, I am loving it.
I then ejected my Iphone and hooked up my Ipod to transfer purchesed music and shows transfered Noprob, so I eject my Ipod to hook up my Iphone to put my purchesed music on it.
THATS when it happened.
STOP ERROR- Blue screen,cpu restarted on its own.
I deleted itunes and I deleted camradrives, printer drivers.
I tried allmost everything and still got the same blue screen.
To make a long story shorter I called apple talked to the (now this is important) Iphone/Itunes department they are seperate but have a div. that works as one but you have to ask for the department that takes care of both or you will talk to both or 3 or 4 other dept.
Tear 1 Support had me do a soft reset on my phone it did not work so I backed up my phone # and they showed me how to do a compleate reset and it worked.
I have been Error and blue screen free for 2 days and I feel very posative about the future with my relationship between my cpu and my phone

You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
If you have a budget to work with, I highly recommend Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic 3. It's easy to use in DW CS4, 5, 6 or CC. More importantly, it's bullet proof and works in all devices.

Upgraded to Lion and iTunes 10.5 and can't import music

I upgraded to Lion last night and immediately upgraded to iTunes. When I insert a cd, iTunes identifies the songs on the cd, but fails to import with the first track. I can play any track while in iTunes but can't import.

Yep, USB connected. Got a supposed workaround on the Internet which suggested erasing all vestiges of iTunes from computer. I used "find" in the Finder and brought up all iTunes files and took to the trash. Then, as suggested, I downloaded a fresh copy of iTunes from the Apple site and installed it hoping that any corruption of older files might be gone. This DID NOT WORK. Hooked iPhone up to comp, brought up iTunes, checked the iPhone menu and there WAS NO MENU ITEM of "sync this iPhone wirelessly via WIFI" which we have in the house. Apple should fix this since there are apparently many of us with the same problem. I have all criteria that should make this work:
1) iMac Power PC using OS 10.5.8
2) iPhone 3GS using OIS5
3) iTunes 10.5.

Lost my library - except purchases!?

Downloaded new iTunes last night, hooked iPhone up to transfer purchases but now only the purchases are showing - where's the rest of the library?
I still have all my content on iPod and iPad but am terrified to hook them up to my pc in case the same thing happens again - i'm desperate

If your library is still on your computer, you can add your songs to iTunes by using the "Add folder to library” option in iTunes.

App Stuck "Loading"

iphone 3G and was trying to install street fighter but the download/install process seems to be stuck on "loading". It has been like this for over 5 hours. My question is, how do i start over when an app is stuck either downloading or installing? Can't delete from phone and cant delete from itunes. What to do?

Fixed it. Just hooked iphone to itunes and itunes downloaded the app. Then sync and all is well.
