Hopeless os x mavericks restoration please help

Not a heavg user of my Mac air. It's just 1 days it starts to freeze and restart and says that the computer has restarted because of a problem.. I ignored it thinking that's only a small problem or something... Days past. I never opened the laptop without it restarting and saying the same message... And just today it gets worst. I request for a restoration... So I just followed and restored it. On os x utilities I erase the drive and install clean out mavericks.. After following... I always manage to go the downloading o.s part... 2hrs to to download and waited.. When it's more than half way finish.. It will restart and seems like nothing happens.. Goes back to the main menu of our utilities.. No other choice but to click on fresh install and goes back to downloading and when it's over half done.. Same thing will happen... Please help me I don't know what to do already

Is there a way I can restore my os without going to this restore and download. Tried it 3x still the same thing happens. Can I download any os from the Internet and put it into a flash drive and boot from it? I still have windows laptop for me to use for downloading

I don't believe that Samsung ever made a driver for this model that worked in intel. Unfortunately, I think your printer is just too old. You can read here

Thanks a lot for your advice.
Deleting the correupted back up means to delete the information of one month since the last back up I made is one month ago.....right?
This back up I made right before I restored my iphone. During the restore however my OS was upgraded to 5.1.1. and reading the comments on the internet it seems I am not the only one whom experience this problem.
Can it be that if I downgrade my OS back to 5.1. the back up will not be considered as corrupted? If so, how do I downgrade the iphone?

I fell asleep while facetiming, I woke up and found that my iphone will not turn on, which is odd, since I was charging it. I then took it off my charger and then put it back on. The Iphone 4 then showed the Apple Insignia for about 10 seconds, then became a dark screen, then back to the insignia. It did this repeated flashing for a good ten minutes. I then took it off the charger and the phone stopped flashing and it became totally dead. I tried pressing the home button, and the top button, but there was no effect. I then plugged in my Iphone to the computer and put it into recovery mode. I tried to restore it, but it continually keeps getting an error (21). I tried it on a different computer, will not restore, but got a different error (I believe it was the error (1604)). I tried restoring it multiple times, I updated my Itunes to the latest version, I made sure my connection was well. I tried taking my Iphone off of recovery mode, but it did not work.
I suspect that my problems are due to the fact that my Iphone will not stay on without being connected to a power source, and that is the reason for all the errors. I tried it on different USB ports and different computers. Please correct me if I am wrong, and please help me figure out what I should do next. I do not mind losing all my contacts, but I do mind if I have to spend money on a new phone, afterall, I barely even had this phone for a year.
So Please, I am begging. Please help me and tell me why doesn't my phone stay on without being connected? Is it because I fell asleep while facetiming and because neither of us hung up it over-heated and killed the battery? Is there an easy way to fix this since I am technologically-impaired? Is there any hope for me and my Iphone's future?

It sounds to me like you either got defective parts or otherwise did not make the repair correctly. We cannot help with self-repairs here, the iPhone officially not user servicable, but you can ask for advice in the forums on ifixit.com, a site which is dedicated to those attempting their own repairs.

My iPhone is stuck in DFU mode but it will not restore please help me!

What happened to my phone was I was having screen issues so i replaced it and it worked normally for about 5 minutes and then the screen went black. After the screen went black, it came back on with the "connect to itunes screen". Since then i've tried to restore it and no good has cone fron trying. Sometimes itunes will tell me that it can't be restored because of the build of the phone or itunes will give me a different error code. Itunes also will make it as far as the restore screen where itunes is saying waiting for iphone and the iphone screen is on with the white loading line under the apple but the line will not move no matter how long you give it time to load. I've tried pretty much all the techniques to reslove my issue. I've even used tiny umbrella, and redsnow to try and kick it out of recovery mode but that does is make the apple logo pop up and fade out until the screen is black and then pop up again. Can someone please help me?

Ipod mini 2nd gen 1 gb: not detected by laptop (win 7 64 bit), if detected: error during autofill and cannot be restored, please help :D

My laptop does not detect my ipod mini (2nd gen 1 gb), when i connect it the orange light flashe 2 or 3 times then nothing happens. if ever that it will be detected by my laptop and when i sync music on it there will be an error and itunes will suggest to restore it to its factory setting and if i choose to restore it error 3194 happens. so my top priority of course is for it to be detected then fix the latter. please help any will be much appreciated

This is an Answer for a Possible Solution. It worked for me and is still working. The issue I was having with my 64 bit vista, was Apple Mobile Device Service was not being installed, I dont know why. But I disabled any active running program through MSCONFIG, to allow a clean uninterrupted install of ITUNES 8.02. This allowed AMDS and drives from ITUNES to install. Hope this works for most of you.
APPLE, please review your Support Methods. Re-installing doesnt help an issue that resulted from installing.

Good day i am having a problem with loading maverick on my mac tower 10.6.8..my computer guy set the hard drives up in different ports, so i put my operating system 10.6.8 on another hard drive to see if that would work,but i notice the main hard drive and the one i choose changed places on my desk top ,but i still cant download Maverick.. probably something small but i don't no that much about this problem...please help..lol

What kind of Mac do you have. A PowerMac cannot run Mavericks, nor Snow Leopard (10.6.8) for that matter.

For the error, "files that are in use by another application", check the preferences on all your antivirus/antispyware software and make sure they are set not to scan iPods. If you are manually managing your music, set your preferences not ot scan external storage devices.

Problems with Android 2.1 for Xperia Mini-Pro: no Twitter on Timescape and not all contacts restored - please help!

Hello all! I own an Xperia Mini-Pro which I updated with Android 2.1 yesterday. Having some problems, the main ones being: 1) Timescape does not allow me to sign in to Twitter (it claims my username and password are incorrect, despite successful log-ons with the same details via Twitter Mobile); and 2) not all my backed-up contacts have been restored to my phonebook (and yet they still exist somewhere in the phone - I know this because I can bring up full contact details for people who've sent me SMS - but I cannot find them if I use the phonebook interface). I suggest that you try to clear data and any cache in for the Timescape app.
Menu> Settings> Applications> Manage Applications> Click on the first hardware button (the one with four squares)> Filter> All> Timescape> Clear data and any cache.
Then check if you get the same error when trying to log in to Twitter.
Regarding the contacts I think you should check if they maybe filtered in the phone book. Open the phone book and click on the first hardware button (the one with four squares) > Contacts to view.
Check if some of your contacts might be filtered.

I recently dropped my iphone 5 in a cat bowl of water it was left there for about 2-3 minutes, when i opened the phone, it was working fine but the sim card reader/modem wasn't responding so i thought "i could buy a new iphone and use the non working sim iphone as an ipod touch" so i figured that i would back up my details and content, then restore it. when i restored it the progress got to almost finished and an error code told me that there was an error (the error code was 3)
please help if you can i really want to get it to work because it is a beautiful phone and i love using it!!

You will probably need to replace the device. As I said earlier, water and electronics do not mix and as you can read in the discussion, only a few people have survived that error. Generally, if the device has been in water, even if you get it to work in the short term, it will not last long before it fails completely.

Install 7. Don't bother with applying drivers and such, just reboot again from DVD and install again, it will see the existing system and this time activation will be possible.
Vista is mess, takes longer etc. Hope you have SP1 version of 7. And for Vista, only SP2+ are even supported now, by MS.

HD not showing up at all after attempted restore. please help!

i really hope someone is able to help me as this is driving me mad! last night my macbook pro (2009) started acting up, internet kept crashing etc. so i restarted and thats when it happened, it was stuck on the apple loading screen so i waited and waited and still nothing. shut the laptop down and booted into recovery to see what was going on, all seemed fine. i tried to reinstall lion which was clocked at 123 hours so i quit that and went straight to restore from an old backup, it got about 3% in and said it couldnt complete the action. so i went into DU to completley reformat the intenal HD and in the hardware bar it only has the HD with no partitions, i tried to make a paritition (mac os journaled) to resolve the issue but now im in this perpetual loop of attempting to make a partition but keep getting the error: Volume erase failed with the error: file system formatter failed.
(this is where i began pulling my hair out)
so back to DU if i delete all the partions from my main HD that works fine, adding new partitions with the format as FAT work fine in actually creating a mounted disk, when ever i try to make a mac os extended (journaled) partition with GUID partition table it just makes this half finished disk thats alway greyed out on the left.
so now when i attempt to reinstall ANYTHING theres no HD to install it on.
please and thankyou in advance for your help.

The drive has failed. Replace it and then restore from your TM backup. But since it is a 2009 model they are known to have problems with the cable that goes from the drive to the logic board. The drive might be fine and the cable failed. Only way to tell is to remove the internal drive from the system and connect it with a SATA to USB adapter and see if you can then restore from TM to that drive. If you can the drive is fine and the cable has failed. If you can't then the drive is bad.

IPod won't sync after restore - Please Help!!!

Thanks for taking the time to read my posting.
I have a 3rd Gen 40gb iPod which was running the 2.2 firmware on Windows XP, which has been fine up until recently. The songs started to randomly skip during playback; this went on for a few weeks. So I decided to restore/reformat the iPod using the iPod updater software and this is where the problem started.
I downloaded the most up to date updater from Apple and updated the firmware to version 2.3. However when I came to sync my iPod with iTunes (ver 6) it would start transferring tracks and get about 5 or 6 on there and then it would hang and not transfer anymore and my iPod would just say Do not disconnect. This happened about 3 or 4 times. I decided to restore the firmware on my iPod to 2.2 using an older updater and now iTunes won’t see / sync my iPod at all…
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong or what I should do to sort the problem?

I would suggest that you go to firmware version 2.3 again (as opposed to 2.2), as this may be why iTunes isn't recognizing it now.
But, I understand that after you restored your iPod (with the 2.3 version), iTunes would bog up after updating only a few songs.
I think it's probably better to have 2.3 instead of 2.2. Try assigning your iPod a different drive letter when you connect it.
Log off of any other users on your computer.
Then, connect your iPod. When you connect your iPod, press and hold the "Ctrl" and "Shift" keys for about 20-30 seconds. This will prevent automatic-syncing from happening in iTunes.
After you've stopped automatic-update setting, assign your iPod a different drive letter (see below):
1 - Go to "START -> Control Panel -> Admin Tools (if you don't see this, click on "classic view" button on the left panel) -> Computer Management."
2 - Click on the "Disk Management" button in the left panel area.
3 - Right-click on your iPod's listing there (after a few moments when it gets recognized in this drive window), and click on "Change Drive letter and Paths". Then the "Change..." button.
Here's what it should look like:
Assign your iPod the letter "M" "N", "O" or the like (further along in the alphabet).
