Hoping someone could help me with getting junk mail from windows mail to my i phone?, i would only like to get my inbox mail

Are you accessing your Windoze Live account as a POP account or as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app?
If as a POP account, received messages that are in the account's Inbox at the incoming mail server will be downloaded.
If you are accessing the account as an Exchange account, all server stored mailboxes will be available automatically when accessing the account with the iPhone's Mail app. If as an Exchange account, seems like you would want to have the account's junk mailbox available in case a legitimate message is incorrectly marked as junk and moved out of the account's Inbox mailbox.

Check the settings in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars for your Yahoo account for correctness. Contact Yahoo to see if they have been having email problems.

Can't Get E-mail from Server

Never a problem in the past. I can send e-mail and I can use Web Mail from Earthlink to get my mail. My Apple mail program just twirls and twirls but cannot connect to download the e-mail. My internet went down for a few minutes yesterday. I turned off the modem and then back on again and re-established the internet. Then the mail problem started. So I shut down everything for 30 minutes. Turned the modem back on. Started the computer.
Did not solve the problem. Still unable to access the Earthlink mail.
Of course, any help is always appreciated.

As of this morning I have had exactly the same problem. I use Earthlink as my ISP. I can send and receive mail fine from the web. Using Mail on my laptop (and my desktop) I can send but not receive mail. I can both send and receive mail from my .mac account using Mail. I also cannot receive mail on my iPhone. However, I can receive mail on my old Treo (which I was going to ditch because of the iPhone - how ironic!). I rebuilt my inbox and it didn't help. Clearly it seems to be a problem with Mail.
I don't have any answers - just was sort of glad to see that I am not alone, and hopefully one of the gurus out there will have an answer.

How can I delete junk mail from Gmail

This is driving me crazy. I have defined my Gmail account as IMAP in my Mail app. However there is a mailbox with the name All Mail but no Inbox. How can I just see valid messages and how can I mark messages as junk and remove them from All Messages and never see any messages from these junk senders again? For example JC Penney sends about one message a day and I have to manually delete them. I've looked at the Gmail settings via webmail and haven't found a way to get rid of them.

You could enable Mail's filter as well if you want. If you do so, I suggest you tell Mail to use Gmail's Spam folder as Mail's Junk folder. Do this by selecting the Gmail Spam folder, then go to the mail menu bar under the "Mailbox" menu "Use This Mailbox For" -> "Junk". This way, when you mark a mail as junk within Apple Mail, it will move to the Gmail spam folder, thus telling Gmail it is spam.
Alternatively, you could use Rules to kick out some of those mail messages you routinely get particularly if they always come from the same e-mail or have the similar subjects.

This happens with a lot of providers, who block remote access to their outgoing servers as a means of preventing spam.
Try using Sprint's outgoing mail server. Go to the Palm Knowledgebase and enter 39211 in the Solution ID box for the server information.

Can't get new Mail from my Pop-Account...

Hello,
I have a problem with Mail, as I can perfectly send but not receive Mails from my Pop-Account. The settings are fine and the problem came up suddenly. When I try to get mail from Pop-Account the application starts to load, shows the number of mails in the account, begins to count up the size and then stops. I can even see the title of the mails by opening the window of the Account, but Mail does not download them.
I would be really pleased if anybody could give me an advice what to do.

I am using Mail 3.1 and the Account is coming from Strato, a German provider. Before, I had no problems neither with receiving nor with sending, but suddenly it stoped. I tried another account (gmail) that worked without any problem. Also your advice with SSl and the ports did not help . I Also phoned the Helpline of the provider Strato without any result . Also the place does not change - it neither works at home nor at work.

I just figured out that submitting through https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/publishPodcast (found through the podcasts section in iTunes) works where https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/publishPodcast (found at the "Submitting a Podcast" link at http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#submitting) does not. I had my custom built system hard linked to the other URL and it failed every time after providing the URL to the feed in iTunes and submitting my Apple ID.

My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3.

Is there a question here? You have just made a statement; I don't think anyone knows what you want to know.
The iPhone comes in 2 flavors - 4GB and 8GB. If you have loaded nothing but videos and your iphone is full (whichever model you have) then you have loaded some very large videos. iTunes breaks down how much storage your device has on it, how much is used, and it also breaks down the used space on the device by what type of file is using it up. Check it out under the "Summary" tab in iTunes when your iPhone is connected.

Can't get/send mail from MobileMe account

Suddenly, my mail app does not download mail to my MobileMe account, or send from it. All my other accounts from different suppliers work normally. I can see the mail sitting on my MobileMe page (via Safari) but the spinning cog wheel just goes round and round - on both inbox and Sent.
I've restarted, repaired permissions, removed the account from preferences and re-installed it, but it makes no difference. Any ideas?

Well, I wouldn't jump into that just yet. Others may have suggestions for you to try.
Select the moble me account in the inbox and try rebuilding the mailbox under the mailbox menu. See if that does anything.
Also, check server and port setting and compare to the one still working on your laptop.
At some point in time, I assume MMe will not be configurable under a regular account, but will all be intergrated fully into iCloud. Have you considered just signing into iCloud and using it that way? When doing so, it will create the account in your Mail application as long as you're signed in.
One word of caution: when signing into iCloud, be careful what you select to use. If you select calendars, it will upload your calendar info into iCloud and delete the information locally from the computer. Your calendar information won't be available on your computer when you sign out. Address book gives you the option to keep local contacts on your computer when signing out.
I also tried to add a mobile me account outside of iCloud to test, but it keeps setting me up to the iCloud IMAP account. The account disappears from mail when you log out. So, it won't let me set it up as a POP account. I've tried to set it up in the past using the older settings before iCloud, but wasn't successful. Maybe I had the wrong settings. Not sure what MMe was using last.

You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

Can I get my songs from my windows formatted Ipod to my Itunes for mac??

I just recently switched over to mac and I'm having a bit of trouble getting started. I have all my songs and pictures on my Ipod formatted to windows and I was wondering if it was possible to get those songs and pics on my new macbook??

That part I don't know. I have never used my iPod for pictures.
If you click on your iPod in the Finder, does a Pictures folder show up? If so, you could just drag it over.
