Horizon auto-login all the way to the Win desktop?

Environment is 4.1 Essentials, VMWare View 4.6, with Horizon 3.3.0 client.
The desired behavior is to start Horizon (with login as current user enabled) and go all the way through to the VDI Windows desktop automatically, skipping the Windows (domain) logon as well. Will we need to implement SSO, or is this still not possible?

Try to disable transparency.
Right click in a free space on your desktop. 
Left click on Personalization. 
There are four options in Windows 7 at the bottom of the screen, choose "Window Color and Appearance". 
Select a border color 
Uncheck: "Enable transparency"

I use to take One to One classes at the Apple Store. Each time i asked a teacher how to back up my i-photolibrary on a external hard drive they gave me a diferent way to do it, each teacher thought he could do better than the other... As this classes is only one hour long, I had to start all over again with the next teacher on the following session...
So know they are diferent version of he same library mixed up together and i am trying to clean up all this. It just take to much space on my disc and it is all confusing . Voila, that's the story!

Menus popping and keeping me from clicking/Safari wants login all the time

I bought this iMac in Jan. I suffered through viruses and hacking with four XP's. I bought a Mac so as to never be in that **** again. Well I've been reading sysprofile logs and watching the records of apps I've never used. Today I saw fax verifications when I've never sent nor received one. My folders and files change all the time. For example, right now my desktop is covered in all the logs I saved and filed in my documents files. When I open them, presto magic, the info I saved has changed to something else. Sometimes as many as 30 files pop open one by one on the desktop while iTunes plays the song Crazy. I am not making this up. Since I am new to iMac I didn't even recognize that someone had used Grab to put a picture of "share folders" with a "start" button in the middle of my desktop and it cannot be deleted. I know you think it's because I'm a novice, but, believe me, I got enough ed with those XP's to work for Microsoft. I called Apple and told them that I either need a white hat hacker or a priest to fix this baby. I mean I don't even know how to begin to tell someone over the phone all the things this crazy machine does. But for now, since I am trying to continue my online biz, I only ask that someone please, for the love of God, tell me 1) how to stop the pop-up menus that keep me from clicking anywhere--the menus don't even make sense or even remotely apply to what I'm doing. It's a pointer fight at every click. I have gone over sys prefs a hundred times. And, 2) how to keep Safari from popping a menu down every few minutes asking for a new kind of named login no matter how I change the keychain. Yes, everything is locked up tight. No one shares or has access to my computer, and yet Big Bang is saying "Goodnight" to me and I've never played it or even knew I had it. I read a lot of pages in this forum and read a lot of familiar sounding stuff. I feel so overwhelmed, disappointed and depressed. Thank you.

As a sw tester, I need to log into a website with multiple accounts, but Firefox auto logins using the previous account info. What seeting should be changed?

Other than my misspelling, the sentence sums it up pretty well. Some other details are that the website isn't in the save passwords. I've seen this with IE8 as well, thus wondering if it's just a setting that's being missed. Already tried clearing the cookies.

How can I turn off the auto login on Netbook running Ubuntu OS

During the initialisation of the machine AUTO LOGIN was already highlighted.
Unfortunately I only noticed it as I hit the next key.
How do I turn off the auto login?
I think I change the /etc/gdm/gdm.conf , but would like confirmation as this is a slightly different version of Linux.

Decided to give the full Ubuntu system answer to this and it works just fine.
In a terminal issue the command: sudo /usr/sbin/gdmsetup
This will bring up the gdm gui and there you can turn off auto login, and the timed login.

[WTA] MSI P55-GD65 6 phase on all the time? Where's APS?

Hello, First Post here..
I bought a MSI P55-GD65 lately and it runs spectacular and overclocks nicely. the newer BIOS 1.6 is noticably more stable when High VDroop is used than the BIOS 1.5, resulting in more power-efficient system of my own despite overclocking .
But nonetheless, i have some issues i would like to be answered:
1. When I use BIOS 1.5, the core voltage would be dropped to 0.896 (CPU-Z) when i set the core voltage as auto and all the power saving features enabled (C1E & EIST Enabled, C6 state selected, Turbo Mode off). but when i flash into BIOS 1.6, the same setting does not result in decreased voltage, the core clock still slows down though like it used to be. Maybe the next revision of BIOS will fix it?
2. I searched this forum about APS on P55-GD65, i have found that somebody here had testified that the BIOS 1.6 fixes the all-phase-working problem, as i was having the same problem too. Then i decided to flash to 1.6 too (which work flawlessly with your USB Flasher by the way, kudos ). But the problem still persists. APS only works when i apply through Control Center. i wonder about APS statement of "will work regardless of operating system" is a true and automated one. And yeah, i have tried to clear CMOS and run it on nominal mode and still no changes from BIOS 1.5. The 6 phase LED is lit all the time unless i "apply" in Control Center.
My Current system are:

I5 750
HD 5770
Silverstone Zeus 750Watt
WDC Black 500GB

Although I'm far from being an expert in programming, I would answer NO. Imho, you've just got a brillant idea! (As for “repeating / updating the variable so many times in a row”… you could add a short delay (like “delay 1”) inside the repeat block, but I don't think it's a must.)

Printing Unix to Windows getting all the printers from the Windows machine

My application prints Unix to Windows using the name of the machine and a generic virtual printer, but now I need to do some improvements, and I really don't know if it is possible to do what I've been asked to.
A browsable page (jsp, html, applet, whatever) has to show all the available desktop printers and print a document that can be a .prn or a .pcl to the chosen printer.
I've done a pilot project just to check what happens in Windows and what happens in Unix.
when the server is Windows, everything works just fine, but when the server is Unix, of course, I get the " javax.print.PrintException: Printer is not accepting job.at sun.print.UnixPrintJob.print(UnixPrintJob.java:295 )" error.
Is it possible to do something like this with only free software or I rather abandon the idea and face the users reaction? (upps!)

Auto login after new user registration

Hello,
I would like to go directly to a restricted page (add session variables for username, level, etc) after a new user is registered, without first going to the login page. Is there a way to do this? I tried adding a login user behavior to my new user registration page, but it disabled the form validation on the page. I also tried copying some of the login page code (login transactions) into the new user registration page, but that didn't work either... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well I finally figured out a work around... I am sure others will run into this problem and if someone can explain it to me I would be happy. But for now this will work.
The above code that Steve U posted works for me exactly 50% of the time. It will work every other time, why I don't know. I even changed all of my temp and session directories in php configuration, changed from php5 to php4 and still no fix.
Here is what I did to get it to work:
On your registration form underneath the insert transaction you copy and paste the login transaction (that you generate on a login page).
*Change tNG_login(this is your server connection)
*Change the POST value to match your submit button on your registration form, mine is KT_Insert1.
*Modify the redirect trigger to go to the page you want to redirect to after registration.
*Change the kt_login_user and kt_login_password addColumn values to match the username and password fields in your registration form, mine are email_usr and password_usr
*comment out the kt_login_rememberme addColumn (or if you need this, modify the code to allow for it in the registration form)
I have now successfully registered a new account and had it auto-login to the user protected area 10 times in a row now, so this should be working.
If you want some sample code here it is:

How to Auto Login after registeration

I have the following requirement and I've spent some time trying to experiment and looking for solutions but have failed to come up with anything that works.
Requirement:
> Register the user in CQ
> Automatically login the user once he registers
> The user should stay logged in (remember me forever)
I've am able to succesfully register the user using the OOTB examples. I created my own register form action based off the libs/foundation/components/actions/update/post.POST.jsp file.
I've looked into several api's to figure out how to auto login once the
am.getOrCreateAccount() call finishes successfully

Auto-login issues since Restoring to new iPod Touch

I recently purchased the new iPod Touch 32GB and restored all of my settings from my previous iPod onto this one. My previous Touch was also on 3.0.
Since the upgrade I have had constant issues with the auto-login web feature at my local Starbucks. It sits on the "Connecting" screen and then eventually fails. Then I have to choose to connect to the network (because it automatically disconnects wifi when the login fails). Then when I connect a second time it brings me directly to the login screen where I can enter my account info and choose to save it to auto-login in the future. The problem is that it never seems to work the next day when I try to connect again.
My previous iPod Touch never had issues with the auto-login feature. And let me tell you that it is frustrating that there is no cancel from the dimmed "connecting" screen. I have to wait 4-5 minutes for it to realize it's not working.
I have already tried:
-Clearing Cache
-Clearing Cookies
-Clearing Autofill Names and Passwords
Any help would be awesome!

Start the admin server with out a password (I have this part working already)
And not have the console (http://adminserver:7001/console) have the username and
password already filled in.
I've tried using the boot.properties and the -Dweblogic.management.username=username
which successfully by-pass the prompt at startup, but it allows everyone to log
into the console webapp.
So if there's a way to do this, I'd love to know, or if it can't be done, I'd
like to know that too.

Unfortunately, there is no way to "auto login" to the admin console. This
is something that could be useful though, so I'll add it to a list of
enhancments to potentially be included in a feature release.

Auto Login Setting Not Being Saved

I'm trying to enable auto login. When I go to sys prefs and set auto login to the userid I want and exit sys prefs then go back to sys prefs it is reset to the original user. Any ideas what is wrong?

Try to move this file on th desktop and restart :
youraccount/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.systempreferences.xxx.plist
HD/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist
If doesn't fix the problem , put them in their original place.

MBP NVIDIA blackout - Change auto login in sys pref's?

I have an appointment in a couple of hours @ Apple Store... I when working at home check the auto login to the main user name I use to save time at boot up. Now I have to bring in my MBP and have them work on it. I have some proprietary stuff on the thing that I would like to have not available to who ever works on my computer, so, the question is HOW do I change the System Preferences for the auto startup to just boot up to the login window when I can't see the screen to use the mouse to change it?

Well, I brought it in without changing the auto-login, and they asked for the login password anyway, so I guess that my question was and would have been moot.
The 'genius' that 'helped' me, tested my MBP and said that it "failed - eligible processor not found" - and that I had to pay the flat rate + labor ($310) + taxes. The claimed resolution was to replace the MLB. Which is what they do when NVIDIA card is the claimed problem since it is soldered to the MLB. So, new questions are...
WHAT is the difference between my NVIDIA problem and the one they are claiming is the covered one???????
What recourses are there for we that have a NVIDIA problem that is not covered (other than biting the bullet and paying)??
I left my MBPro for the repair and it should be back in the store today for pickup. Is it possible the repair shop will tell the store to not charge me for the repair? (RE: Article: T52377)
