Horizontal line going through the screen on retina display

The line is from right to left as pictured. It only shows up on certain colors, but it gets very annoying with any movie playing. On dark blue and burgundy backgrounds the line is a black color. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

When I first saw that line on my original 20" iMac I thought it was another artifact of the screen controller on that machine that had a lot of problems (need to get it fixed now that I have my PB to fill in. However, I then saw the same line on my wife's 12" PB and now on my new 15". If you are seeing the same as I am (faint grey line dead center of the menu bar) then I think it is just part of the 3D effect in OSX.

- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

Your topic title and topic content are a bit confusing? Are you printing a website page? That would be thru Safari or other browser.
Or is a photo from a website? If so how was it imported into iPhoto?
Also what system and iPhoto version are your running?
Does the photo print correctly from Preview or other application?
What's the pixel dimensions of the image?
How much free space do you have on your boot drive?

My friends iPhone 6 Plus has lines going through the screen. Does anyone else have this problem?

Help? There are white lines going through the right side of screen. I reset the phone and restored it, I don't think its software.

Screen problem Lines going through the screen

Hi i have just noticed these lines on my screen for some reason, i dont know how they have happened the phone has never severely been dropped etc. The touch and everything else is working fine apart from the occasionsal heat problems. Can anybody give me some advice on what this is and how it can be resolved.

Display image issues
This can include bright or dark pixels, lines in video, or sections of video missing.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Verify the issue is not content related, by viewing different content.
If the image is too dark, adjust the brightness. In General Settings choose Brightness and Wallpaperand slide the slider.
Issue not resolved

Extra line running through the screen on my Officejet 6500 printer

I just noticed a second horizontal line running through the screen on my Officejet 6500 printer screen (right through where the ink levels show up.) The screen resembles graph paper. What causes this? Is there something wrong with the machine? Can something be done to correct it?

A full factory reset may not be required. Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:

It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on.

Display: Gray horizontal line going through center of Menu Bar?

Ipad had colored lines running through the screen

My ipad first generation which i love now has colored lines running through the screen. Can it be fixed?

It sounds like your iPad has mulitcolored lines all over it. I would recommend a few things here to help isolate the issue to software or hardware. Try restarting the phone with this article:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, I would next try reseting the device with the same article:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue is not resolved, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it as a new device to see if the lines are still there. If not then restore your backup and verify they are still gone.

Laptop suddenly had horizontal lines running across the screen

Suddeenly horizontal lines appreared across the screen .
I have shut down and started up the computer numerous times and it does not go away .
It also affects the graphics and text on the screen .
If I cannot fix should I have the computer cleaned and set back to factory standard and how do i do that /

2 possibilities:
1. The video chip (motherboard) has gone bad; or,
2. Just the screen has gone bad.
Connect the computer to an external monitor and see if the lines appear on it. If so, it is #1.
It is doubtful that restoring the laptop to factory specs will have any effect on the isue either way but if you want to do that you can tap F11 as you power up to enter factory reset.

I've tried revolting it, it works sometimes but now its stuck at the starting screen. I have been at this for 2 hours to try and fix it but nothing has changed about the screen. It may (likely) be a video card issue. There is a "known issue" with certain iMacs made in a certain timeframe (2011-12 I think), and one of the telltale symptoms is vertical lines showing up on your display. Go to Apple's website (https://getsupport.apple.com/) to find out how to get support, then either call their service line (they usually pick right up) or take it into your nearest store's Genius Bar. They'll first check if your iMac's serial number is on the list of vulnerable machines, and then they'll have to do a diagnostic to prove that's the problem -- if your serial number's on the list and it fails the diagnostic, they'll replace the video card for free, even if you're not covered by AppleCare (and if you are, it's free regardless).
My iMac just had this problem, there were lines sometimes and just weird display issues other times. Eventually it just grayed out altogether and I couldn't use it. So it's likely your display problems will worsen if you don't get it looked at.
It took them about a week to ship the new video card over, install it, and return the iMac to me.

40 inch Samsung LCD White Horizontal lines running up the screen constantly

My brand new Samsung 40 inch tv (purchased in mid-December) has white horizontal lines running up the screen constantly. From what I heard, the electricity in my house my not be grounded, but no other tv in my house does this, so I doubt this is the case. Has anybody else had this issue and is it too late to return the tv? Thanks.

Does it do it on other sources like a DVD? If so you may have a TV problem. Have you tried to do a factory reset or restore? Have you tried plugging it into an outlet in a different part of the house? As a last resort have you tried taking it back to the store and see if it works there? Also have you tried a filter on the AC plud in? Just some suggestions to try and help you out.
