Horizontal red lines across video after rendering

Hi I was color correcting a video in Adobe Premiere Pro Cs5 and had remove some noise with Neat Video.  The video looks fine with the small screen, however, I adjusted it to full screen and noticed a lot of red horizontal lines across the whole video.  The video was 720x480.  I would like to know what am I doing wrong.  I'm a beginner in color correction and using Adobe Premiere Pro. Thanks.
Gerald W. McClaren Sr.

i hope the picture helps you. There's not much information to get.  It only happens after I finish rendering. I'm using adobe cs4 premiere. There is nothing wrong with the footage.

  • Laserjet Pro 200 Color Printing Horizontal Red Lines

When I print in color, I get horizontal red lines across my page.  When I print in black and white, it doesn't happen.  I've cleaned & calaborated the printer & it's still doing this.  Can anyone help?

    Hi @kjatc,
I see that you are getting red horizontal lines when printing in color. I would really like to be able to help you resolve this issue today.
I would do a hard reset to see if will help.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
I have provided a document with the steps for calibrating and cleaning the toners, printing a Print Quality page, inspecting the toner for damage, checking the paper and driver settings to see if this will resolve the issue. Some of the steps you have already tried, but please try the other steps listed. Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues.
Print a Diagnostics Page: Go to Setup, Reports Menu, Diagnostics Page.
Update the printer's firmware. Software and Drivers. Select Go under Option 2.
Are you using Genuine HP Toner?
    What are the toner levels?
What were the results of the Print Quality Page and Diagnostics Page?
This will help determine if it is just one specific toner, possibly a fuser or hardware issue with the toner. Feel free to include a screen shot of both pages.
If you appreciate my efforts, please click the Thumbs up button below.
Please let me know the results. Thank You.

  • White screen with battery with red line across- software issue

My phone froze last week when I plugged it in for the night. The battery had been dying pretty quickly for the 2 weeks before that. So i took out the battery and put it back in and then this white screen appeared with a battery and a red line across. I replaced the battery and it still gives me the same message. I tried pluggin the fone into the computer and reloading the software from the blackberry site and still nothing. The computer is not even registering that the fone is plugged in. Help please! I am running out of ideas!

  • Line across video since Lion installation

Since my Lion installation this week, I occasionally get a line (black for brighter pictures and white for darker pictures) every few seconds for a split of a second. The line is across videos and across pictures I insert to my project. The line can be seen in the preview screen on iMove and, unfortunately, also after rendering.
Before the Lion installation this was not the case. The footage is (pictures and videos) from a Sony HX100V (50i) and I use iMovie 11. Any hints?

Finally some good news!  Thanks Frizzante!
Updating to Mountain Lion and installing the latest iMovie (9.0.7) also solved my problem.  There are no artifacts whatsoever when I render my projects now.
So I can get rid of my Snow Leopard Partition :-)
Please remember that if you have old projects (from the Lion era) that have been rendered with artifacts, you need to clean up the project before rendering again.
    Here is what I did:
    Close iMovie
Go to the "iMovie Projects" folder in Finder (it is in the Movies folder)
    Select the project in question
Right Click and select "Show Package Content"
Open the "Movies" folder and delete any .mov files here (or move them away to another folder).  These are cached from earlier rendering sessions.
Open the "Proxies" folder and delete all the folders here (they all start with "~%2FMovies" - or move them to another folder)
Open iMovie again and render the project again (e.g use the Share - Export Movie menu).  This time there should not be any artifacts.  The rendered file is cached in the "Movies" folder inside the iMovie project package.
I hope this last bit will help solve any remaining iMovie rendering problems.

  • Horizontal white line across the Satellite A screen

    Hi,
My computer screen has horizontal white line appeared across the screen recently. Computer is running perfectly normal but i don't know how to resolve this problem?
    What could be the reason?

Im afraid it is due to defective display.
You can connect your notebook to external display to see if the same happen. if not it is the best evidence for my theory.

  • Rear Camera has horizontal white line across screen

Hi, I was given a playbook for Christmas and I love it but it has developed a horizontal white line on the rear camera which makes the camera and video unusable. I have customized my Playbook so am reluctant to take it back to the shop. Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I just accept that I'm not going to be able to use the rear camera or video? Hope you can help as in every other way my Playbook is perfect. Thanks.
    Solved!

If a Playbook is to be sent for repair, especially with an RMA, it is important to back up data files by WiFi sharing as a desktop software backup  may not work if the unit is replaced with a refurb or new unit.

  • Missing videos after rendering

    Hello!
I'm a newbie with After Effects.
I have the following problem: I have a After Effects Project file. In the folder Media Holders there are files with names MEDIA HOLDER 1, MEDIA HOLDER 2, etc. How do I replace them with my files? With right-click option is not available "Replace Footage" option. I use Set Proxy->File and on preview I see my video, but after rendering there is no my video.
    Regards!

Oh, thank you very much. I will try it soon

  • IPad red line across screen

I was just using my iPad normally when all of a sudden, a red line appeared across the screen one pixel wide. I tried to restart and reset. Is there some other solution?

If resetting didn't fix it, it appears you have a bad screen. You'll have to contact Apple by phone or at the Genius bar at an Apple store.
They may replace your iPad, even if it is out of warranty, though I strongly doubt that. Otherwise, you can purchase a refurbished one on exchange as long as there is no water damage:
If you own an iPad that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will replace your iPad with an iPad that is new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability for the Out-of-Warranty Service fee listed below.
    iPad model
    Out-of-Warranty Service Fee
    iPad mini
    $219
    iPad 3rd, 4th generation
    $299
    iPad 2, iPad
    $249
A $6.95 shipping fee will be added if service is arranged through Apple and requires shipping. All fees are in US dollars and are subject to local tax.
Certain damage is ineligible for out-of-warranty service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. However, an iPad that has failed due to contact with liquid may be eligible for out-of-warranty service.
Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not your iPad is eligible for Out-of-Warranty service. Replacement iPads have a 90-day limited hardware warranty or assume the remainder of your standard warranty or AppleCare service contract coverage, whichever is longer. Please see the AppleCare+ for iPad and Apple Repair Terms And Conditions for further details.

  • Red Lines Across the screen?!

I did a search but didn't find anything similar to what I'm experiencing. I watch DVDs and movies on my iBook and noticed lately that the screen will have a reddish hue. I can adjust the screen and it will go away, but I've noticed it's happening more and more, and also getting harder to adjust the screen where the red lines are not showing up. I'm trying to figure out if it is a connection cable or the LCD. I can still get a clear picture with the LCD, but if I move it just a little, they come back.

  • Horizontal lines across video in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0

I had used a software called Virtualdub to deinterlace and remove lots of garbage from the edges of a video. I had also used a software called Neat Video inside of Virtualdub to remove a lot of grains from my vhs video.   I prefer to use Adobe Premiere because it's superior to Virtualdub when it comes to color correction.   That is my own opinion, however,  I imported the video from Virtualdub into Adobe Premiere.  I did some color corrections on my vhs video.  The video looks a whole better than the original.  I saved the video with the color correction and exported it as an avi file.  I exported the same video into Pinnacle to burn on a dvd.  I noticed that the video had a lot of  fine horizontal lines going across it.  I would like to know what am I doing wrong with all of  these procedures.  I'm a beginner trying to learn how to use Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. for video editing.  I would like to use this software totally to edit my video instead of using Pinnacle software. I hope that my problem isn't too complicated.  Thanks.
    Gerald Sr.

You can do everything in Premiere: you do not need VD or Pinnacle.
First of all I would not deinterlace nor get rid of the edge gargage of the original footage in VD.
Depending on how the deinterlacing is being done, it still will bring down the quality off the footage.
If its for dvd on a standalone player just leave it interlaced.
Edge garbage is easily removed in Pro2 by scaling up the footage a tiny bit.
I would only use Neat Video in VD and export the footage to avi with the Lagarith codec which will give you a lossless file.
    http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html
Or skip VD and get Neat Video as a plugin for Premiere
In Premiere you can create dvd's and besides it has a much better mpeg2 encoder then Studio has.

  • Horizontal gray line across imac screen

Hello, wonder if anyone could help with this one...(sigh)...
This evening, quite suddenly, a gray (or black, depending on what's on the screen) vertical line has appeared across my imac screen, about a quarter of the way up from the bottom.  Above that are some are three, much lighter lines (more like subtle variations or blocks of colour running across the screen). These appear on all windows I open.  I took a screen shot using grab and the very definite gray line doesn't appear.  Can anyone give me suggestions of what's wrong and what I can do - I'm out of applecare warrenty now I'm afriad.  Is it repairable? or am I looking a buying a new machine, because these lines will drive me crazy.
    Thanks!

These appear on all windows I open.  I took a screen shot using grab and the very definite gray line doesn't appear.
Excellent work, the Screen Grab grabs it from the Video card, so the prlem is after/outside of that.
Could be the Internal Video cable, or the LCD itself.

  • Red line across iMac screens

Both my sons have the 2006 white 24" iMacs and for the last few months the screens are showing an intermittent red thin horizontal line, not always all the way across the screen.
It can cause flickering when showing movies.
Also both have a tendency to lock up at odd intervals and require a hard restart.
    Anyone else with the problem?
    Peter

    Louise,
If you go to the "Using your Intel-based iMac" discussion, you can find numerous posts about freezing/crashing 2006, 2007 vintage iMacs. My late-2006 iMac started to have these problems 3-4 months ago, and the problems increased in frequency over time. My 20" display also started to show partial horizontal lines at different times during this period. In my case my iMac eventually became so unstable it wouldn't run even 1 hour before freezing, and then would not re-boot successfully until I shut it off and waited for several hours.
I became convinced that heat was a major contributing factor for these problems even though the internal temperature sensors in my iMac were well within advertised tolerances. Rather than repeat what has been documented in the other forum, I suggest you read the recent thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10893244#10893244
The good news is that by taking the steps described in the referenced thread, my iMac appears to now be stable (knock on wood), and has run without a crash/freeze in 6+ days.
    Good luck,
    Dave

  • Vertical lines showing up after rendering chroma key on Canon 60D footage...

Ok so I am working with Final Cut Pro 7 right now and this is my first green screen attempt.
    1) I shot the footage with my Canon 60D and did a log and transfer so I could make the H.264 files into Apple Pro Res 422, the correct method.
    2) I then applied Color Smoother 4:2:2 , then Blue and Green Screen and selected green, then Spill Supressor, then Matte Choker, then Mask Feather.   After tweaking the parameters throughout the filters I came out with a perfect image.
    3) I then tried placing another ProRes video underneathe of the clip so that the video would show in place of the green.  It worked and looked great.
    HOWEVER
    4) Upon rendering and playing back through the final image I noticed vertical lines running down the 60D footage.  At first I thought it was the image underneath coming through, but even after removing the image and simply using chroma key until the green turned to black and rendering again, the lines were still present. Am I doing something wrong?
Please help, I have a deadline
    -Eric Widder

The HQ flavor of ProRes is overkill for this footage (I also have this model Canon), but that's not really important to fixing your problem.
Further to what Rv told you: I've long been advised by people who are savvy about keyers to avoid the stock FCP keyer and use the Primatte plug-in – and that's been my go-to tool. Recently, I tried the new keyer in Motion5 and was very impressed. I tested it on a project I'd been only OK about and found it made a huge  difference. If you're going to do a lot of this kind of work, check it out. For $50 the keyer alone is worth it.

  • Black line on video after publishing

    Hello
I have an issue with VC3.
I import an AVI file and add my effects to it. I then publish the video to FLV format, dimensions 512 x 288.
The source video have the exact same dimensions.
After export all videos have a thin black line on the right of the video. The line is about 1 pixel wide.
It's almost as if the published video have added on a pixel to the dimension and made it 513 x 288 but not stretched the video.
Although when I check the properties of the published video it has the correct dimensions.
I have tried to publish in AVI format as well but I still get the thin black line so it's not just the codec it's something VC does to the video.
This is very annoying as these videos are then embedded on a website with white background and the black line is very apparent.
Does anyone know how I could fix this please?
    Thanks!
