Horizontal scroll stopped working on Windows 7 partition
For the last few days the horizontal scroll has not been working on Windows 7 64-bit partition on my Macbook Pro 13" 2011
The vertical scroll is working fine. But horizontal has stopped working. I see the horizontal scroll bar on web pages or documents or explorer. But it does not work. It used to work before.
I have looked in Boot Camp control panel but there is not a setting to enable it.
In Apple partition both horizontal and vertical scrolls are working that means the hardware is good.

Just to clarify that the horizontal scolling is not working through the trackpad. I am not able to scroll left and right using two finger swipe...But I am able to scroll horizontally when I click and drag the scrollbar left and right

Hi, I upgraded my OC to Windows 10 today, after the upgrade tapping and scrolling stopped working on the synaptics touchpad. the toucpad only finctions as a pointer now. for taps/Clicks i always have to use the buttons below the touchpad. It was working fine before the upgrade, the earlier OS was Windows 7 I have checked for driver updates but i get a message that the drvier is up to date.I have check the device setting and confirmed that tapping and scrolling is enabled.I have also done a device reset. Nothing solved the problem, i also did not find a relevant answer on the forums.Also, the same problem did not happen with my other HP laptop (Notebook PC) which was also upgraded to windows 10 recently. , Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums. What you will need to do is the run the Windows Update Fixer tool. Here is a link to help you with that. Make sure you run all updates including optional. Fix Microsoft Windows Update Issues If that fails to work the only other option is to roll your system back to the original supported operating system that came with your notebook. Two-Finger Scrolling Stopped Working
After updating to 10.5.6, my two-finger scrolling stopped working; everything else seems to be fine. What can I do to get it working again?
Same thing happened to me today. I've had the 10.5.6 update installed for a week and have restarted my system several times since then, and experienced no problems until now. Today was the first day I powered my system down completely (rather than just restarting) and now my trackpad is wonky.
I can use the trackpad like normal with one finger, and two-finger vertical scrolling works as long as I'm inside an application. I can also use two fingers to right-click. I just can't use two fingers to scroll in any direction besides up or down, and I can only scroll if I'm in an application or window that requires scrolling.
Inside my Trackpad preferences panel in System Prefs, there's a checkbox for "Secondary Tap" under "Two Fingers." The other options ("Scroll," "Rotate," etc.) appear but there is no checkbox next to them. There isn't a checkbox for "Swipe to Navigate" under "Three Fingers" either.
I will call Apple support and see what I can find out. -
I can't open my Itunes program in my laptop computer with windows 8. the message is "Itunes has stopped working. A problem causess the program to stop working properly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". I reboot the machine, Uninstall and re install the Itune program, stilll the same message pops up.
The first thing to try is System Restore to take you back to a point in time when it did work. If that is not successful, create a new user on the computer. log in with that and see if ID will start. This will tell us if the problem is in the system/program or the user account.
If it works in a new user account, see Replace Your Preferences and in addition to replacing the prefs, empty the InDesign Recovery folder that will be in the same location and the InDesign SavedData file. -
for a few weeks i have not been able to access the itunes store from the itunes on my laptop. every time i click on it it tells me it cannot access the store...not sure why. and says this: ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.
I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

iTunes stopped working on Windows 7, 64 bit. Uninstalled and attempted to reinstall. Windows installer error....iTunes. 10.6.3.25.

Adobe Reader 10.1/ 11 get error "has stopped working" on windows 7 after installed 1 or 2 days, but Adobe Reader is fine==
Turning off the Protected Mode at Startup setting fixed the problem for me. Switched off all protected mode settings in Preferences exited Adobe Reader XI then restarted. Now I can successfully open files without the program crashing. I run the same versions of Adobe Reader and Norton Internet Security on Windows 7 and Windows 8 systems and the problem only occurred on Windows 7.

I have a toshiba computer and it is windows 7, recently after I installed imatch everytime I open itunes I get the message 'i tunes has stopped working' and windows cannot find a solution and has to close. There is no solution and I don't know how to get the crash information on my computer....can anyone help as I want to finish downloading all my songs to match to be available on my mac products.

If you really want help, stop messing with the fonts and post so that others can read and offer suggestions.
Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.

After I purchased the creative cloud, I receive an error message when trying to use premier pro cc 2014. It states "Adobe Premiere Pro 2014.2 has stopped working. A problem has caused it to stop working. Windows will close the program and notify you of a solution." When I used the trial I never received this message. Now after purchasing it I receive this error each time I open PP and am unable to use. it. Any ideas or support to fix this issue?
What does the detailed crash report say?
And have you updated your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website? (most crashes on launch are due to bugs in out of date video card drivers) -

Have tried choosing check online for solution, it spins and spins, then poof, the dialog box simply closes, nothing, no tab open in the browser with possible solutions, no reply that a solution couldn't be found. If I go into iCloud panel, PhotoStream has a check mark in it and the same error pops up again. HOW do you uninstall applephotostreams.exe? It is NOT listed in my Programs & Features in Control Panel. By doing a 'Search Desktop' I can see it is located in Program files (x86)/Common files/Apple/internet services... how do I properly delete it and reinstall? (It is working FINE between my iPad and iPhone, and until yesterday had been working just fine on my PC (Win 7 64bit) Thank you -
Firefox has stopped working altogether (Windows 7). It will NOT start. The spinning start up graphic will spin for a moment, and quit. I have uninstalled everything that I could find to uninstall, and then re-installed, but to no avail. I have followed the currently posted suggestions with out success. Any other suggestions?

I receive Adobe updates on a regular basis without any problems. The other day, my Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 (Editor) function has suddenly stopped working. Windows cannot seem to solve the problem. I can open all the other function buttons without any problems just not the most important one which is the Editor Function. Has anyone experienced this situation and knows what to do?

Same exact thing with me. And no help from apple. Just dropped nearly $600 and cannot get a decent working setup.
Apple's only suggestion was to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, and re-install... of course (the I.T. Crowd tactic).
The crash happens only on iTunes store access. -

I have the same issue. An iTunes help page (iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues - Apple Support) suggested I hold down shift and control when clicking to open iTunes, which opens iTunes fine for me. That would mean the problem is in the third party plug-ins that work with iTunes. However, the help pages did not say what to do with the plug-ins once I knew that was the issue. The pages said to find the plug-ins and move them to the Desktop, which I did. That's where the help pages stopped, which is ridiculous. Does anyone know what to do from there?
