Horn and brass sounds in iPad version? Do they exist
I'd like to add a brass part to a song but can't find anything.
I'm sure I saw this as an option at one point, was it within the Keyboard sounds?

No, those fonts do not exist in Cyrillic. But Avenir Next supports Cyrillic. It's available at Linotype.
Adobe's fonts that support Cyrillic are listed on this page.

Do your videos play in QuickTime Playerwhen you reveal one of them in the Finder with "File > Reveal > Original"? Try to open the revealed movie in QuickTime and see if it plays.
Check the format of the movie. You can see it in the Inspector in QuickTime Player from the "WIndow" menu: Window > Show Inspector.
iPhoto does not support all movie formats and codecs that QuickTime player can play, and not all frame rates.

If the movie does not play in QuickTime Player either, install QuickTime 7 for more codecs. -

Sorry but the drivers will only go back to WINDOWS 2000. You can call HP Support (1800-474-6836), and try to get a CD with the drivers. It is a very slim chance that there is no CD available, but it is worth a try.

US IPad version in Madrid, Spain
Hello Everyone,
I was hoping I could get some assistance and advice on the following.
My mother came from Madrid, Spain to visit with us in Ohio due to the birth of our daugher. My mother is elderly and does not feel confortable with computers. She wants to be able to receive emails, pictures and videos of the baby to stay upto date. Today I took her to the apple store in Cincinnati, Oh. and she fell inlove with the IPAD, and felt very confortable with using it.
Now the questions....
Because my mother will be staying here for the next 2 months, she is wanting to purchase a US Version of the IPad so that I can help her with any questions she may have before she returns back to Spain. I have been checking some sites to obtain information, but I'm not quite clear of all the info I read.
From what I gather the US Ipad version can be used in Spain. The voltage is 220 there, but its my understanding with an adapter it will handle the voltage without a problem is this correct?
So being that she will be a permanent resident in Spain, is she able to purchase an internet plan for 3G service there in Madrid and use her US Ipad version? What will be needed to make this happen please? Does she just purchase a mini-sim card with 3G internet service? Will she need anything else or accessories to make it work there?
It is also my understanding that Itunes is regional, and there for she will not be able to see Itunes in Spanish or the "Spain" region. Is there any other concerns pertaining to problems she may encounter when trying to use this in Spain?
Is there higher fees for using a US Ipad version vs. a european version Ipad in Europe (spain)?
Any information would be very much appreciated and as soon as possible as she is considering purchasing an Ipad very soon so she can start learning to use it and be helped with any confusions she may encounter with the operation of the Ipad & IOS.

I'm a bit confused on the iTunes store part. Will she have any access to the iTunes store while she resides in spain if she is connected to 3G or WiFi? Is it a registration issue where the iPad needs to be activated for 3G in Spain? We were planning on using the iPad on my Wireless Router while she is here so she can practice and get use to it, and just have her activate the 3G overseas when she returns and finds which carrier to go with for 3G.
I'm sure there will be things she will want to purchase itunes music and such when she's over there. So to understand this correctly.... If she does have access to itunes... does this mean that she will only be able to access the US version of the Itunes store, or is it that she will not be able to access the itunes store while residing in Spain due to itunes detecting a non-US carrier or WiFi connection.
Sorry, I'm very new to how this works still. Thank you once again for your assistance, and I would kindly appreciate any further details reference this confusion on my part.

I've made several videos with my iPhone 4S. I transfered all to iTunes and then to my iPad 2. They appear on the "Videos" app on the iPad, but not on iMovie. What can I do to change this? I would like to use iMovie on the iPad to edit these videos.
I have found that a good way to get them to the pad camera roll is thru an app called photosync Transfers the videos Wireleesly to the pad. If you already have them in the camera roll, just fire up I movie, create a new project, and the will show up in the selection of clips in the upper left. Drag them into the movie pane and do your thing. You really don't need to visit I tunes unless you need to get them onto the pad via the way Fred has described.

It appears your devices are experiencing audio issues. The following article provides steps which may help you find a solution:
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support
Follow these steps and test the sound after each one.
Go to Settings > Sounds and drag the Ringer And Alerts slider to turn the volume up.
If you can hear sound from the speaker, then the speaker works. Continue with these steps to find the setting or switch that's affecting the sound. If you can't hear sound from the speaker, contact Apple Support.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is set to ring. If you can see orange, it's set to silent.
Restart your device.
Open an app that has music or sound effects. Adjust the volume with the volume buttons or the slider in Control Center.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth.
If there's still no sound, connect a headset. If you can hear sound through the headset, remove it and clear any dust or debris from the headset jack of your device.
If the device is in a case, make sure that the case doesn't block the speaker.
Use a brush to gently clear any debris from the speaker and Lightning connector (or 30-pin dock connector). The brush should be clean and dry and have soft bristles.
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
If you followed these steps and still hear no sound or distorted sound, contact Apple Support.

How can I stop a download of a Movie for rent in HD to my iPad? There isn't enough time to download it. I shall have to download to my PC and probably the standard version and then sync the iPad.
I think your best bet here is to contact the app developer. Sounds like you need advanced troubleshooting that someone who is a part of the app would know best how to resolve. Best of luck.

I've just updated my iPad to iOS 7.02 and I'm not able now to download new apps nor update the version of the existing ones. All of them are "waiting"... for ever.Even, when trying to download a new app, a "dratf" icon appears on the ipad, not the app's own icon...
I've tried to switch off and on the iPad, disconnect and reconnect the itunes id... and nothing works. Even deleting an app, to download it again, doesn't work. It even doesn't ask for my password!!! (Stays with the small square with a circle around, the one that gets "bolder" while downloading... but it doesn't get bolder now. Just stay...).
Any suggestions? I wouldn't like to reset the iPad, since I've got data in some apps that I wouldn't like lo loose...
By the way, I can not either delete some apps with thos "draft" icons... even when the alert that appears when trying to do that is shown and select "ok".

Thank you, Once_was_lost, but it doesn't work either. I tried it yesterday as an option (I think you're referring to the options of those apps in the settings app).
The problems are still here... I've been able to update some apps using the PC itunes (connecting the app to it), but all the other apps are still "wating", and I have two new strange things:
* I cannnot remove the apps that are downloading (at least those that are supposed to be downolading ) . But I could remove one from the PC... and now there is an "empty line" in the "to update apps list".
* Stranger: though I cannot download new apps or music from the store, I can do in-app purchases!!! In that case, I'm asked for the password and the item downloads. How is it possible?????
I can download with the same user in the PC, in the iPhone... but not in the iPad .

Yes, you can. You can configure the Side Switch (above the volume button) either as Mute switch or Rotation lock.
Settings > General > Use Side Switch to: choose what you like the Side Switch to function as. -
I'd like to get iWork on both my ipad 2 and iphone 4 mainly for traveling purposes... Right now I lent my iPad to my dad whose in somewhere else now so I don't have access to the iPad. So, I was wondering if right now I buy iWork onto my iPhone, and then when the iPad comes home, can I install that same iWork I bought through my apple acout and not have to pay for another version, and the iPad iWork can go full screen beautifully and not ugly?
iWork is universal, so it will work full-res on the iPad. This is true for any app which has the plus sign symbol (in the App Store in iTunes it will say "This app is designed for iPhone and iPad".

I used to able to access and listen to my itunes library on my ipad using the remote app but this no longer works. I am connected but sound thru ipad- just controls my library on iMac. Is this because of they want us to use itunes match
That has nothing to do with iTunes match. The Remote app on iPad can control the computer's iTunes but not play content from iTunes on your iPad.
To play for example iTunes imusic on iPad
You need to have Home Sharing On.
Check Settings > Music > Home Sharing (key in your Apple ID & password here, must be the same on computer's iTunes)
Start iPad's Music app, tap the ... More (bottom right), tap Shared.
Choose your iTunes' library and have fun. -
I have an ipad, version 5.1.1 and ibooks no longer works, i have followed advice re restarting etc but no joy. is there a way i can send the contents somewhere and retieve them especially pdf's? i have synced with itunes and they are not accessible with my laptop. any advice would be gratefully recieved.
The latest version of iBooks in the App Store will not work with iOS 5.1.1.
However, you can download a compatible version of iBooks onto your iPad as shown here:

I have a number of apps on my ipad2 tha no longer have sound. I have checked the ipad settings and the apps that have settings and all sound and volume are ok. Do I have a virus? Pandora sound is ok. It seems mostly to be games...angry birds, tap tap, and educational games for little ones. Any suggestions?
There aren't any viruses for iOS devices. Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I am using my ipad to transfer some mp3s over to my ipad. some go over, most do not. I even had trouble with videos syncing over. I am running version 6.13. I have plenty of space left but they just wont get on there. This is what happens. I take a video I have and make an mp3 out of it sometimes, sometimes its just plain mp3s. I do the conversion and it comes out fine but it goes to my computer itunes and not on my ipad. Does anyone know what I can try to get the mp3s onto my ipad? its driving me nuts not to be abke to do this. Thank you for any suggestions!!! PS I am using snow leopard as my OS on my mac
no they are already in mp3 format I just tried that home sharing today because I couldnt find any other reason why they werent syncing. here is an example of a sync I just tried. I made an mp4 concert into an mp3 it came out perfect on my computer.. then I tried to sync it to my ipad with no luck, other than it going on my computer, it did not show up anywhere on my ipad in any area of the music sections etc playlists, songs, albums etc. Its just not there but remains on my computer. thats why I tried the home share today to see if that would help. Either I am really missing something or there is something wrong with this ipad. Did you ever have any trouble like this, does anyone? and what is something good to try? thank you again for answering! I appreciate it.
