Horrendous bill after joining BB Option 3

I'm really cheesed off and could do with some advice.  Here's the background:
I've been with BT Option 1 for years and after getting charged for going over the 10gb allowance I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to Option 3.  I had an email from BT dated 10th June confirming the switch over would happen on 18th June 2010.  Ok so far,
About the 7th of July I get an email telling me: (copy & pasted)
Dear Customer,
We thought you'd like to know that, so far in July, you've used more than 7GB of your 10GB monthly usage
allowance for your BT Total Broadband Option 1 service.
In accordance with our Fair Usage Policy, if you exceed your usage allowance, you'll be charged £1 for every extra GB you use from the second month onwards. If you do exceed your allowance, we'll tell you at the end of the month and let you know the amount of any over usage charges, which will be added to your next bill.
Phoned BT the lady I spoke so to don't worry it shouldn't have been sent and I'm on Option 3, (unlimited so I believe) she said she would put a letter in post to confirm I'm on Option 3, no letter arrived. 
Neither did a new home hub nor BT phone which I had been expecting by now.
On the 4th August, I had an email from BT telling me: (copy & pasted)
Dear Customer,
This email is to advise you that last month you exceeded the usage allowance for your BT Total Broadband Option 1 service.
Your current monthly usage allowance is 10GB.
Your total usage for last month was 64GB.
Based on a charge of £1 per extra GB, an additional charge of £50 will be applied to your next bill.
My broadband extra usage added to my August bill are:
£38 for 1 Jun - 30 Jun
8 Jun - £33
1 Jul - 31 Jul - £50
Making a total of £121 for what BT calls extra broadband usage.
My previous bills were about £130+ (give or take)so I nearly fell off my chair when my bill arrived for £288.41.  I thought by going to Option 3 my bills would be cheaper.  My bill confirms that I am paying for Option 3 from 18th June.
Straight on the phone (today Sat 21/8/2010) to customer services and was answered in India.  Yes, your bill is correct he said, you are on Option 3 which I said I thought was unlimited, no he said, there is a  fair usage limit and that is why I have been charged!
So I'm asking here why am I paying for what I think is an unlimited service, yet I am being billed for my usage which appears relates to Option 1?
And where the heck is my new home hub and hub phone which I thought was also included in my new Option 3 package?
I hope someone can supply me with some answers or at least who I can contact as my payment for this bill will be taken on the 1st September and it's rather a large chunk of money to lose at the beginning of the month.
Me thinks maybe an email to Watchdog will be in order if I get no answers from BT on Monday.

  • OVM Server takes long time to boot up - gets stuck for minutes after joining domain

    Server takes a long time to reboot. Seems to get stuck for 8-10 minutes every time after joining domain.

  • My keyboard freezes after using the option key... what gives?

    I have a 17" MacBookPro with OSX 10.6.8
    The problem:   My keyboard key freeze after using the " option key"  in Photoshop or  when downloading a file using the option key.
    I can usually use it 2 or 3 times before it makes a chirping cricket like sound… then my keys freeze up.? The only way to correct it is to restart.
    Anyone else have or had this issue?   it's frustrating.  What's the deal?

(When I lived not far from Lenovo's Canadian service center and wanted to bring in a ThinkPad for warranty repair they said that would be OK with them but my unit would be put on a queue the same as if I'd shipped it in.     In the interim it may or may not be possible to reattach the key, even just temporarily, depending on whether it wasn't put on properly at the factory or if it's physically broken in some way. Or you could use an external keyboard until Lenovo sends you a replacement, etc.
    I've just call the local service center, he told me that he can not repair individual key, they can just replace the whole keyboard..... How bad luck I am!!!

    This is not usually related to AD issues, but it may be more of a DNS issue. I posted a request in your other thread to post an unedited ipconfig /all of the DC and of the client.
    This may help use diagnose this issue and your other thread's printer issues.

  • My bill after 9 days in Europe!!!!!

    Ok, I just checked my bill after spending 9 days in Europe and it was a whopping $210!!! That's it!! That's nothing, considering I sent practically a million text messages while over there. And guess what, the data charges were less than a dollar. How'd I do it?
    1. I didn't open any widgets.
    2. I didn't open email, except when I accidentally hit the email button when I arrived before disabling the email account, which I promptly did. It downloaded two email headers, which accounts for a part of the tiny data charge.
    3. I didn't open Maps.
    4. I didn't open Safari.
    5. I didn't open YouTube.
    I also made a couple of calls and sent a billion (well not really, but a lot of) text messages.
    I was on the go so much I only emailed two people from the hotel once. So, if you go overseas and you don't want huge data charges, follow my lead. Believe it or not, it was not that difficult at all to live without email/internet for several days.
    Just wanted to put this out there as someone has been claiming that widgets update automatically without being launched. Obviously, my little case study proves otherwise.

  • OS pre-instaled CM12 Client, but it can not automatically find site after joining Domain

    Background:
    we update sccm 2007 to sccm 2012 r2
    For New PC, the OS pre-installed with our image by PC Vendor. The image has sccm 2012 client. So when users get the new pc, we only need to join the domain.
    After joining the domain, 2012 client will never automatic locate the site code base on AD. 
    I do some testing.
    Install client in the domain pc with parameter SMSSITECODE=AUTO, the site code can be located
    Install client in the workgroup pc firstly, the join the domain. Client will never automatic locate the site code base on AD
    But If I  click Find Site in the Advanced tab of the Configuration Manager Properties in
    the Control Panel. The site code can be located.

    I'm going to guess you're running 2007 and 2012 side by side, in which case you need to look at your boundary groups.  In 2007 you simply had boundaries, in 2012 if you don't make boundary groups and assign boundaries and site site assignment to said
    group nothing will happen.
    If you have upgraded your infrastructure completely to 2012 but haven't upgraded all of your clients yet ... what you should be seeing is the opposite:  2007 clients wont check into 2012 unless you enable automatic client upgrade.  Then there's
    if you have overlapping site codes between the two systems.

  • MDT 2010 Vista cannot finish after joining domain

    Hi,
    I have a problem with deployment process after joining domain. I am deploying Vista using MDT 2010 with LiteTouch.  Everything works fine. However, deployment process stops after joining domain. I suppose that autologon is disabled/don't work after joining domain and all following steps can't be started.
    What is wrong with my configuration or Task Sequence?

  • Microsoft Store Breaks After Joining Domain (2008)

    After joining a Windows 8 Pro Tablet to domain, store apps are no longer working.
    This is important to us for two reasons :
    1) Users must be able to use OneNote and Photo Apps
    2) Users must be able to access Domain shares and have access to the same files as his regular workstation
    All of this regardless of what user logs in.
    Currently active COMPUTER GPO :
    Enable Offline Files
    Enable Remote Desktop
    Local Admin Group to Domain Users
    NTP Client configuration
    Trusted Zones (Local Intranet/Shared Paths)
    Currently Active USER GPO :
    Map network Drives
    Create Folder Structure at logo on server (VBS)
    Folder Redirection (Desktop and Documents to Server. Favorites, Music, pictures and Video follow Documents)
    I've tried a few tricks found on google and technet, but I seem to only regain partial and temporary access to the store. Apps will open and close immediately (Store/Camera for example).
    Any suggestions would be appreciated and thank your for your time!

    If this issue occurs just after joining domain, you need check this policy:
    Computer Configuration/Windows Components/Store/Turn off the Store application
    If it is not this case, we can re-register Windows Store for a test:
