Host - Failed to register all NCOs - on Sun Connection console

Hi,
I see a red exclamation on my host name in the console saying 'Failed to register all NCOs'. I have recently installed an NCO using a profile. Can someone tell me how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Sravan

Please have a look at the SUN Update Connection Enterprise Users Guide Chapter 5 Local Inventory - at the following URL.
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-6534/bmalf?a=view
Specifically the procedure To Fix Local Software Missing Dependencies.
Hope this helps

Have latest version of iTunes installed and running. Also make sure you have internet access working and can access Apple websites. Also, make sure you don't have any entries in your hosts file referring to gs.apple.com....If your not sure about how to do that, go ahead and do the rest first. You can come back to that later.....Plug in phone. Put phone in DFU mode.(google put iphone in DFU mode for instructions) Then restore the phone in iTunes by highliting your device in the left column and click on the Restore button. The latest iOS version is 4.3.3. That's what iTunes will restore it to. When it's done restoring, iTunes will ask if you want to restore from a backup or setup as a new phone. I would use the Setup as a New Phone option. Once it's done, you should have a clean install of the iOS and an operating phone, as long as there are no hardware issues with it.

  • Server 2012 R2 - The system failed to register host (A or AAAA) resource records (RRs) for network adapter

We seem to be having an issue recently after introducing new Windows Server 2012 R2 servers where they fail to register DNS correctly. The Windows Firewall is off and the servers are on the same VLAN with no firewalls between them.
When I do an ipconfig /registerdns or wait 24 hours for the system to try we get the following error:
The system failed to register host (A or AAAA) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
    with settings:
               Adapter Name : {4A0ECF05-193F-4BEA-AA46-BEC593BA752B}
               Host Name : SRV-DATA
               Primary Domain Suffix : internal.local
               DNS server list :
    192.168.0.50, 192.168.0.42
Sent update to server : <?>
               IP Address(es) :
                 192.168.0.99
The reason the system could not register these RRs was because the DNS server contacted refused the update request. The reasons for this might be (a) you are not allowed to update the specified DNS domain name, or (b) because the DNS server authoritative
for this name does not support the DNS dynamic update protocol.
To register the DNS host (A or AAAA) resource records using the specific DNS domain name and IP addresses for this adapter, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator.
On our DNS server we have set for the internal.local zone Secure Updates only so that looks good because it is Active Directory that should be handling this authentication to update the record I assume. Just to mention that when also doing an ipconfig /regsiterdns
the update fails within a few seconds.

This issue is only affecting Windows Server 2012 R2 clients and testing with Windows Server 2008 R2 clients works no issues. So is this a mis-configuration or a bug with Windows 2012 R2? I have checked all DNS settings on client / server which all look good
to me so reaching out now to see if anyone has any ideas?

    hi Stefan,
this is expected behaviour, or at least it's better to say : in a multi homed system the choice of the network path that is used is determined by the underlying tcp network,
it doesn matter which path the sqlnet connection from agent to AV server takes as long as it is able to connect. Your statement about 'monitor audit traffic on 192.168.0.9'
does not make sense, the agent / collection framework is the part that fetches audit records from secured targets and has nothing to do with monitoring network traffic since
that part of the functionality is done by the firewall component. Anyway if you want to change the nework path you need to use 'route' and force it,
    greetings,

We are receiving an error when deploying custom task flows to the spaces instance in our Development environment and are experiencing the following problems:
Custom taskflow instances are all being "overwritten" by a single parameter (we have a webcam 'widget' each space points do a different location, but when we deploy they all suddenly point to the same place - this is not reflected in the parameters for the instance of the task flow).

  • DNS failing to register

    Background
all Server 2012 VMs...1 domain controller, multiple member servers.  I have only one member server that is having DNS issues.  The problem was first discovered while trying to gpupdate /force, which failed stating there's a lack of network connectivity
with the domain controller, event ID 1129.  I looked in the event logs further and there were event ID 8020 "the system failed to register host (A AAA) resource records for network adapter with settings....", there were also events where the
time service could not sync with the DC.
From there I dropped the server from the domain, and then rejoined it without issue.  It still was having the same errors.  I looked in the DNS Manager on the DC, and the record with that IP address had the wrong host name.  I deleted it,
and attempted to have the server register the record.  I followed ipconfig /flushdns, and ipconfig /registerdns. Still having the same issues.
It is part of the domain, trust relationships seem fine.  Any thoughts?  I can't find anything anywhere on that event ID.

Seems like too few info to decide what is your problem. My very first guess is that there is error in VM settings. Make sure that VMs has disabled time synchronization with host. Secon problem may stem from possible port blocking (try without fw) and third
problem in VM may be caused by wrongly setting IP DNS in NIC parameters.
Also start with dcdiag to find the health of AD. Do not remember to delete DNS cache whenever you do any chnages is DNS settings.

  • Smpatch analyze gives different result after disabling Sun Connection Host

    Hi all,
after disabling the Sun Connection Hosted functionality due to the EOL announcement I get a smaller number of patches from 'smpatch analyze' for a brand new jumpstarted server (227 patches before vs. 106 patches after).
Trying e.g. a individual analysis for 126651-01 (Synopsis: SunOS 5.10: tar patch) results in
Error: One or more of the updates specified do not have entitlement permissions.
BTW: I ran the analysis for patch 126651-01 before without any problem.
    The entitlement file
    /var/sadm/spool/cache/entitlement/https%3A%2F%2Fgetupdates1.sun.com%2F%2Fentitlement_client
    looks like
    ----START-ENTITLEMENT-TOKENS----
    Solaris10Security
    SolarisSecurityUpdates
    SolarisDataIntegrityUpdates
    SolarisHardwareUpdates
    SolarisUtilityUpdates
    Public
    -----END-ENTITLEMENT-TOKENS-----
And we do have a service plan!
    Any ideas?
    Kind Regards
    Marco

    Hi Shen,
thanks for your reply. I tried this procedure from your thread
Try re-registering the patch server after running these commands:
    # cacaoadm stop
    # cacaoadm status
    # rm -r /var/sadm/spool/cache/*
    # /usr/lib/cc-ccr/bin/eraseCCRRepository
    # rm /var/scn/persistence/SCN*
    # cacaoadm start
    # /usr/sbin/sconadm register -a -r registrationprofile.properties
But unfortunately the problem persists. The entitlement file looks the same as before. The registrationprofile.properties files looks like
    userName=<username>
    password=<pw>
    hostName=<hostname>
    subscriptionKey=<key>
    portalEnabled=false
    proxyHostName=
    proxyPort=
    proxyUserName=
    proxyPassword=
We use a direct connection to sun's update server without a SunUC proxy. (I disabled the proxy, because I had some trouble with it in the past).
    'smpatch get' gives
    patchpro.backout.directory - ""
    patchpro.baseline.directory - /var/sadm/spool
    patchpro.download.directory - /var/sadm/spool
    patchpro.install.types - rebootafter:reconfigafter:standard

I've really no clue what the application means by "The Asset information is invalid".
I think it may be due to the fact that cpu #20 is not correctly detected:

    Hi
During the installation of sp15 (with JSPM) failed, the sdm log shows:

    hi
we had the same issue some time back when we upgraded to SP15, we opened a OSS message and SAP had to come and fix the issue.
It was some inconsistencies in -Config DB settings and they made quite a few changes in security/configurations/ticket(config tool)
    also
one Java parameter was wrong(config tool - server config) :
    -Djava.security.policy=/java.policy  it should be -
    > Djava.security.policy=./java.policy (The DOT was missing)
    thank you

    Hi,
This seems  to be a permission issue.
Makesure account used in the application pool is a member of the BizTalk Isolated Host Users group.
Also its working considering either make the ASPNET user account a member of your BizTalk Isolated Host Users group to make sure it has access to the biztalk databases (or change the asp.net services to run under a different account, which would need
to be done from the framework's core .config files)

  • Failed to register service with Bonjour

I can't seem to register my Mac Mini's services with Bonjour.  Below is what I think is relevant log to the issue.  An Airport Extreme (Time Capsule, actually) is the host.  It's running version 7.6.1.  My Mac Mini is running 10.6.8.
I checked with "Bonjour Browser" and the services are listed.  I can get access all these services locally and over the internet.  The only problem is that when the Mac goes to sleep, it can not be awaken, locally or over the internet.
    Any ideas?

Thank Linc.  WakeOnLan is quite niffty but I'm not physically there and the only computer (Mac Mini) I have access to is the one that can't be awaken (other than scheduled wake by itself).
But I did run WakeOnLan on the Mac Mini and was able to see itself, amognst others, listed as "awake".
I'll try to get my family member there on the local network to try WakeOnLan and see if it's listed when it's asleep.
Meanwhile I'll briefly describe my setup and status:
    The Setup:
MacBook Air => Internet =>  Cable Modem => Time Capsule => Mac Mini
Mac Mini is Ethernet connected to Time Capsule.
Time Capsule hosts the entire local network.
Mac Mini is headless (no keyboard or monitor connected)
Mac Mini is setup for Remote Management, Remote Login, and Web Sharing.
Port Mapping on Time Capsule is setup accordingly for the above services.
"Wake for network administration" is selected in Energy Saver.
Successful Connections  (only when already awake):
SSH over LAN and over Internet
VNC over LAN and over Internet
    File Sharing over Internet
    Web Sharing over Internet
Mac Mini shows up as  available for connection in Finder of another locally connected Mac.
Note: while accessing over LAN, I've only tried using a client (MacBook Air) via WiFi.

  • I receive the message "Error:  Failed to register" when installing Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.135 o

I receive the message "Error:  Failed to register" at the end of attempting to reinstall Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.135 (after a complete uninstall of all Adobe programs) on my older machine running Windows XP and the older browser IE 7.    I have tried the offline download installer and my Google Chrome browser setting is "allow all sites to run Java".  I allowed the program to run from my AVG firewall dialog box.  Windows firewall did not ask.  I am logged in as administrator.  What should I do because some programs prompt me for this install in order for some functions to work correctly.

See if this topic contains a solution for your problem: How do I fix Windows permission problems with Flash Player?

  • AP's fail to register in a WLC

    Hello
We are having problems with one of the two controllers of a WISM. APs fail to register in the first controller, but they register fine in the second one.
Our network is comprised of 3 WiSM (6 Controllers) running version 6.0.196.0 and 100  LAP1140's
    WISM 1
    Controller 1 (Works OK) -
    Manager Interface       -  VLAN 70 - IP Address  10.200.100.21 /28
    AP Manager Interface -  VLAN 71  - IP Address 10.200.100.34 /29
    Controller 2 (Works OK) -
    Manager Interface       -  VLAN 70 - IP Address  10.200.100.22 /28
    AP Manager Interface -  VLAN 72  - IP Address 10.200.100.42 /29
    WISM 2
Controller 3 (DOES NOT WORK) -
    Manager Interface       -  VLAN 70 - IP Address  10.200.100.23 /28
    AP Manager Interface -  VLAN 73  - IP Address 10.200.100.50 /29
    Controller 4 (Works OK) -
    Manager Interface       -  VLAN 70 - IP Address  10.200.100.24 /28
    AP Manager Interface -  VLAN 74  - IP Address 10.200.100.58 /29
    WISM 3
    Controller 5 (Works OK) -
    Manager Interface       -  VLAN 70 - IP Address  10.200.100.25 /28
    AP Manager Interface -  VLAN 75  - IP Address 10.200.100.66 /29
    Controller 6 (Works OK) -
    Manager Interface       -  VLAN 70 - IP Address  10.200.100.26 /28
    AP Manager Interface -  VLAN 76  - IP Address 10.200.100.74 /29
APs register correctly in 5 controllers but fail to register to Controller 3
There isn't  any Firewalls between APs and Controllers and the six controllers are in the same Mobility Group. We use DHCP option 43.
Debugging commands in WLC 3 shows the following output:
    *Dec 10 15:08:23.016: 58:bc:27:bf:03:80 Join Priority Processing status = 0, Incoming Ap's Priority 1, MaxLrads = 150, joined Aps =0

I replaced one AP by a PC. It received correctly one IP Address by DHCP and I could ping to Controller 3 (Manager Interface  10.200.100.23 and AP Manager Interface 10.200.100.50)
    ¿Any idea?
    Thanks

    Hello,
leolaohoo, Scott, thank you for your answer.
We put all AP Manager IP addresses and Management IP addresses on the same subnet and all the controller works ok now.
    Thank you for your help.
