Hostid in smqr ?

Hi,
What does host-id means in SMQR and SMQS  ??? Is it where the qin/qout scheduler is running ???
Thank you.

Hi,
please have a look at SMQ1:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/76/e12041c877f623e10000000a155106/content.htm
It seems that there is a 'mapping' between the client and the destination possible.
Perhaps some additional informations are helpful:

  • Is it possible to retrict some type of error message in SMQR transaction

    Hi experts,
I have a requirement when I use EOIO queue from the HTTP adapter (URL) to post the RFC requests and i need to automatically retry the posting of errored entries in the queue and i could find the web logs that SQMR is the transaction used for automatic retry and also the program RSQIWKEX is can be scheduled to try the reposting of the queue. Now i dont want to repost all the error messages( some thing related to application failure in R/3 needs changing of data ), so it is possible to retrict those transactions  from re post ?. Or we need to cutomize this program RSQIWKEX in R/3 to get this job accomplished.
Quick response would be highly helpful.. THanks in advance.

  • HostID dependend application in Solaris 8 container

We have a Sun Blade 100 / Sol8 running an application (ileaf6) based on a hostID dependend
License Manager ie 2 processes are handling this:
    1. lmgrd -2 -P -c /Ileaf6.4.1/data/license/license.dat
    2. ileaf6 -T vob-sun 2.40 4 -c /Ileaf6.4.1/data/license/license.dat
Now we moved the system into a Sol 8 zone where the original HostID was configured
    via "add attr / set name=hostid / set type=string / set value=12345678" .
After booting this Sol8 container the original HostID is there but our application has not the
license to run ie. only the "lmgrd -2 -P -c /Ileaf6.4.1/data/license/license.dat" process is running.
The license.dat file was not changed and has these lines:
    SERVER host 12345678 1750
    DAEMON ileaf6 /Ileaf6.4.1/sun4os5/bin/ileafnld /Ileaf6.4.1/data/license/license.opt
What's wrong here within the Sol8 zone?
    Greetings, Rainer

    Hi all,
have some infos more. The license daemon log file says:
(lmgrd) FLEXlm (v2.40) started on host (Sun) (7/2/110)
    (lmgrd) License file: "/Ileaf6.4.1/data/license/license.dat"
    (lmgrd) Started ileaf6
(ileaf6) Cannot open daemon lock file
    (lmgrd) MULTIPLE "ileaf6" servers running.
(lmgrd) Please kill, and run lmreread
(lmgrd) This error probably results from either:
(lmgrd) 1. Another copy of lmgrd running
(lmgrd) 2. A prior lmgrd was killed with "kill -9"
(lmgrd) (which would leave the vendor daemon running)
(lmgrd) To correct this, do a "ps -ax | grep ileaf6"
    (lmgrd) (or equivalent "ps" command)
(lmgrd) and kill the "ileaf6" process
But there are no ileaf6 servers at all, there is no lock file only lmgrd is running in the global zone
and in the container. Killing lmgrd in the global zone kills also lmgrd in the zone.
    Any ideas how to proceed?

  • Messages getting stuck in SMQR when ABAP proxy is triggered.

    Hi Gurus,
I have written an ABAP client proxy in my CRM system.
When the proxy was triggered in CRM sxmb_moni data was in green flag state
I used transaction smqr in CRM and then refresh the blocked queues.
In CRM sxmb_moni data was in successful state again.
Is there any way to reprocess the data which is stuck in SMQR automatically.
I have already scheduled the JOBs RSQIWKEX and RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES in the CRM system still facing the issue when the proxy is triggered.I can see the messages stuck in SMQR.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

  • Problem Inbound Queue SMQR after execute BUPA_DEL

    Good Day
Now, we developing a interface for a customer to import Business Partner (BP) from a non-SAP System in our SAP CRM 2007 System. To validate the functionality of the interface we would like to make any test imports. Well, if we finished an import we have to delete the BP's with the transaction BUPA_DEL. The deletion of the BP's in the table BUT000 seems to be ok.
So, when I call the transaction smqr to check the Inbound Queue CSA*, I will found an entry with the state "Retry" for every deleted dataset. I can manually execute the Queue successfully. What could be the reason for this state? How can I automate the execution of these queues?
    Many thanks for your support!
    Regards
    Marco

    Dear Gerhard
    Thank you for your answer.
Well, I had already implement the solution of the note 785046 without success.
The clue is, no Background-Job is scheduled but there are many thousend Entry's with the state RETRY in the Queue...
In the SysLog I couldn't found any messages they indicate to this "problem".
    Do you have any idea's.
Can I manually schedule a Job (may be periodically) to process these Queues?
    Thank's for your replies!
    Best regards,

    SMQR:
    Queue name

    Attempts

    Thanks for your help!
    Regards,
    Marry.

    Hi Marry,
    Please see the following link:
    Follow the menu path
Queueud remote fuction call -> qRFC Administration -> Outbound queue Adminsistration ->The QOUT Schduler
    - This covers SMQS admin, including explanations of max conn and maxtime.
    And path
Queueud remote fuction call -> qRFC Administration -> Inbound queue Adminsistration
(This doesnu2019t explain the Attempts and Pause fields. Check note 1579728 for an explanation)
(The above links will lead you to other very useful qRFC documentation.)
Iu2019ve added what I think are some important CRM Middleware considerations below
The most important thing to remember for SMQS is you must maintain all destinations to which queues are sent. Exceptions to the is would include, for example, mobile client destination, Groupware, BW etc - the queues that send data to these systems will remain in status NSOEND until requested from the other side. For such systems, data are added to the relevant queues but will remain in status NOSNED until the receiver actually requests the data (eg using conntrans for mobile clients. I don't know how it works with BW.)
For automatic processing, the destinations should be registered, otherwise queues will stay in status Ready until manually activated in SMQ1.
As far as middleware is concerned there are two main destination types. One is the R3 backend system (eg ECC, or ISU), also maintained as an ABAP connection in SM59.
If you use the mobile scenario, you also need to maintain another type. Destination SAPCRM_MW_RR_000 should be added in the client that exchanges data. If the client is, for example, 100, the main entry for SAPCRM_MW_RR_100 should be maintained in client 000. For performance reasons, these should be set to Excluded (shown as N) rather than registered. Please see note 480543 for more details.
SAPCRM_MW_RR_xxx destinations are defined as logical destinations in SM59.
In SMQR, the most important things is that all queues used by CRM Middleware should normally be registered. But you can use the wildcard - eg R3A, CSA can be maintained and registered. Then they will process automatically.
Normally the default settings are fine for the other various fields.
    I hope this is helpful.
    Brian.

  • Material replication without registering queues in SMQS and SMQR in SRM 7.0

    Hi,
Please help me to understand following:
What is the use of transction SMQS and SMQR ?
what is the use of registering inboud and outboud queue in SMQS and SMQR ?
Do material replication will not work if I will not register any queue in the said transaction code ?
If yes, what are the queue I need to register in SRM and ECC respectively ?
    Regds,
    Jennifer

    Hi jenny ,
    1. T code SMQS is used to register a destination and prior to this u need to define your destination by using T code SM59.
2.T code SMQR is used to set up the ques.CRM ---> CRM Middleware and Related Components -
    >Queue Setup à Register CSA Queues.
    3.  to monitor and organise the Inbound and outbound queues.

  • In SMQR transaction from where to where data is flowing (queues) ?

    Hi all,
Can someone explain the below mentioned queue names. I mean from where to where the data is flowing. This queues are from SMQR
    AI*

    CRM_SITE_*

    Hello Vara,
use se16 and table CRMCONSUM. This table also exists in R/3. There you can see an overview description for what queue prefixes are used. Prefixes should be maintained here.
    smq1...inbound queue
    smq2... outbound queue
Queues you want to be handled must be registered in SMQR.
    for example queue starting with:
R3A* queues with R/3 as "partner" (R/3 Adapter)
    R3AI*...Initial Load
    R3AD*...Delta Load
    R3AU*...Upload
    R3AR*...Request

  • SMQR - No queues visible

    Hi colleagues,
I'm not working on XI systems but we receive messages from our XI system in the R/3 system via asynchronous RFC. Because I had a question that required a queue entry, I tried to deregister all the queues in transaction SMQR:  I put cursor on one of the queue entries and in the queue name popup just put '*' in the input field. OK, success. The next message sent was stopped and could be restarted in the queue.
But after I tried the same thing for registrationI can see just one entry ''. Before it was like XBTR, XBTS* and some more entries.
OK, the queues are active again but I just can't see them as I used to do.
Any idea on re-establishing this view in SMQR?
Besides, I do not understand why XI will continue sending to queues that are hanging in consequence of a sysfail. I'd expect the system would use only inactive or running queues.
    TIA,
    Regards,
    Clemens

    Hi,
Goto SXMB_ADM>Queue Mnagment>Verify if all the Queues are selected here.
Select all the queues and register. Then you could see the queues in SMQR.

  • Hostid through JAVA

    Hi.
I am programming a licencing program which needs some system specific info about the machine it is running on. Solaris contains a command 'HOSTID' which gives me such info. My problem is that for security reasons, a native call to hostid can easily be cracked. So what I need is to know how a program like hostid is implemented or how can can implement something similar to hostid, which gives me a unique identifier of the machine. This implementation should probably be done in C/C++ and must be called through a native call from JAVA. But any other ideas are more than welcome.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
I would be glad to get any input from you.
    Thank you in advance
    Jihad Haddad

    public class HostID
    extends Object
    implements Serializable
Every server or client on the network is uniquely identified by a HostID. Usually, this corresponds with its IP address. The
size of a HostID is 4 bytes (based on the IPv4 address). The client or server generates the HostID by calling
generateHostID. This HostID is generally accessed through the ObjectStdService.
HostID's can easily be converted to and from bytes using the methods toBytes and fromBytes. The usage of these
methods is similar to the usage of the corresponding methods in CopyID.
The static HostID's MULTICAST and ALL can be used to route Commands.

  • Sparc 20, hostid and system boards

I have a Sparc 20 that was being used as a license server. The SCSI controller on the system board does not recognise disk drives anymore. I am trying to persuade Engineering to re-license the software for another machine/hostid, but I know they are going to balk. My questions:
    1) Does anyone sell Sparc 20 system boards? I poked around on a couple of sites with no luck.
    2) Can the chip that holds the hostid on a Sparc 20 be moved to an Ultra 5 or an Ultra 250 without letting the smoke out? I don't have any other pre-Ultra Sparc machines left that are not in service.
Email is a good way of getting in touch with me, and since I do not know if these forums have had a problem with email address scraping, and I can't remember how I set this account up, here is my email address with some precautions. My first name is doug, follow that with a period, then my last name, caviness. I work for JDSU, and we are a .com.
Of course if everyone says it can't be done, then that helps the re-licensing case. Provided the software vendor is still in business.

    Hello Doug,
<i>I am trying to persuade Engineering to re-license the software for another machine/hostid, but I know they are going to balk. My questions:
    1) Does anyone sell Sparc 20 system boards? I poked around on a couple of sites with no luck.</i>
A company that sells memory <b>still</b> lists (refurbished, 90-day warranty) SPARCstation 20 system boards as a spare part (about $ 30 plus shipping). Have you tried eBay ?
Usually a license is bound to a class of machine (regarding performance) <u>and</u> the HOSTID.
In your case the machine is used as a license server and not running the application itself.
<i>2) Can the chip that holds the hostid on a Sparc 20 be moved to an Ultra 5 or an Ultra 250 without letting the smoke out? I don't have any other pre-Ultra Sparc machines left that are not in service.</i>
The SPARCstation 20 uses a 48T18 chip, while the U5/E250 uses a 48T59 chip. Both types have 28 pins and are 8Kx8, but I don't think these types are interchangable (the 48T59 has 70ns access time while the 48T18 has "only" 150ns).
But you can try to reprogram the HOSTID in the Ultra system.
As Martin already mentioned the U5/E250 have a machine-type 8x (usually 80) while the SPARCstation 20 has 72. The machine-type is part of the HOSTID. Maybe the system uses this information to select the correct kernel.
I would recommend that you apply for a new license. The battery in the NVRAM has "Consumption Life" of about 10 years and getting a <b>new</b> chip of this type might be tough in the future (maybe already today).
Due to a bug in the forums software, notification of replies doesn't work (anymore). If you don't return to the forum, you will never know that you got answers ....
