Hosts stuck in OK (Limited)

Hi,
I've just installed VMM 2012 R2 CU5 into a PoC lab. I've vCenter with a host cluster containing two hosts.
The vCenter added with no issues. The hosts added with no issues.
I never chose SSL, as its only PoC.
The two hosts are in OK (Limited) mode.
I've followed all instructions to retrive and add the certificates to get out of Limited mode.
This is where I'm having issues; the certificates DO add to Trusted People on the VMM Server, show us as issued to localhost.localdomain, issued by VMWare Installer. However, I get an error in VMM 2012 R2, saying 2Virtual Machine Manager cannot complete the
VirtualCenter action on xxx because of the following error: Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password (InvalidLogin). This error occurs when an operation is denied access because of insufficient privileges on a managed object. Resolve
the issue and then try the operation again.
The host stays in Limited mode.
The accounts are OK, the RunAs account is an Administrator on the vCenter.
This is the same issue with both hosts.
Anyone any ideas?

Hi Peter,

  • Best hosting plan for iMac and PC editing?

I've been using iWeb for the past year on my personal site. I love its ease of use, not to mention how great everything looks.
Now I want to start another site with a more commercial flavor. The big difference with this one, though, is that I need to be able to update my site on my iMac at home AND my PC at work. I've yet to find a hosting plan or program that will allow me to do this efficiently. I'm thinking a web-based file manager might be my best option, but maybe there is something else out there that would be better. Would FTP be better? I have some experience with file managers but absolutely no experience with FTP.
This new site will mostly be set up in a blog style (several updates each day, permalinks, etc.), and I also want to be as flexible as possible in posting ads on the site. It seems some blogging software is fairly restrictive when it comes to ad flexibility.
Anybody have suggestions as to what might work best for my circumstances? I would appreciate any help.

Of course you can't use iWeb for your project, because it doesn't run on PC's, and you can't update an iWeb-created site without the app and the appropriate Domain file. So you presumably need to look at a cross-platform app like Dreamweaver.
As far as uploading technology, web-based file managers provided by the host are usually very limited and not to be recommended. You should use a real ftp client to get the best results, and major apps like Dreamweaver have this built-in.
Here's a list of Mac web editors. You might check to see which other ones have Windows versions.
    http://www.pure-mac.com/webed.html
The host is pretty irrelevant if you go that route.
Another option is to do everything on a site like Blogger, where you create your pages via a browser, rather than using a local web editor.

  • APEX 4.0 Report Query column limitation, 43 column maximum for the result!

    Hi there,
I'm trying to generate report from Apex 4.0.1, but I got stucked with column limitation when I'm executing the report query.
    Case:
Environment: oracle 11g, apex 4.0.1, oracle BI 11, windows xp
Table: My test table is quite simple, by creating a sample table with 44 columns, the column name is random, i.e. column1..column44, column data type is varchar2 (20)
report query:my report query is also simple, by "select * from testtable"
Data: no data in my sample table
Error: then I'll get the error: "HelpORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small"
solution: If I shrink the table column from 44 to 43, then the report can be generated to xls, pdf, etc.
Question: Is there any column limitation for Apex report query? I know there's a 32k row size limitation for varchar, but since there's no single data in my table, it shouldn't be the case.
Does anybody get this issue before? Thanks for any generous input!! :)
    Horatio

    hi marko,
Thanks for the reply, but i can't find the 45 column limitation from report query and report printing. any clue for this call?
    Regards

  • BT Email servers limiting messages

My email server is with my host (although I'm with BT as ISP). Recently when sending single emails to BT email addresses, BTInternet and BTWorld I get a message from my host server that the message is delayed, reason "too many emails". From their logs my host says BT are limiting their emails.
"The technical departement  checked the mail logs and found out  this.
BT are are rate limiting mails from our servers
But our servers will try to send upto 30 times."
Is this congestion on the BT email servers a temporary problem?

I have flagged this issue up with the mods.
In the mean time you can login via http://mail.yahoo.com or via http://bt.yahoo.com/ with your BT email address and password.
    Cheers

  • How to dynamically configure JPA setting at runtime using java code?

    Hi,
I am new to EJB 3.0 and JPA. I am trying to help my company to deploy the use of JPA in EJB3.0. Currently, i am trying out with OpenJPA in IBM Webshpere Application Server 7.0. We have four different WAS servers running for testing, system integration testing, user testing and production respectively, and in each region, the configurations for data source, JDBC username and password, schema, etc are different. So i think i would need to configure the JPA setting during runtime using Java code that determines which is the environment. And apparently i am stuck with the limited knowledge i have.
    1) I understand that i could override the JDBC in the persistence xml by creating entity manager using entity manager factory. But is it possible that i do similar thing by using inejction of persistence context on entity manager to obtain a container managed entity manager?
    2) Alternatively, it is possible to create multiple persistence unit in the XML and inject different PU to the entity manager, am i right? But how to inject dynamically since @PersistenceContext(unitName="xxx") only accepts constant declaration.
    3) Is it possible that the JDBC username and password are read from properties file?
Thanks for your help in advance!

    Hi
    Thanks for the reply.
Are you saying that i have to configure the data source authentication to the backend DB2 using the JAAS-J2C? Correct me if i am mistaken. I guess i am unable to do so as the application server setup only contains one data source, and the server hosted a number of applications. Every applications has their own JDBC username and password supply to the data source (the ID supplied at the DB2 side will decide which resource can access) and thus, i have to supply the username and password at runtime. Talked to the server guy and seems that it is not feasible to have seperate datasource for each applications as considered to the volume of applications hosted inside the server.
    Any suggestion?

  • Scheduling a Report to Deliver As an Email Attachment

    Hi,
I want to schedule a Report to Deliver As an Email Attachment. But I am getting the below error.

In the below link its given to setup the email server (ArGoSoft Mail Server Freeware)
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/bipub/advance/advance.htm
But I did not do the steps mentioned in the above link. Since I have email server configured on my system.
I am using the proper Host name and Port. Can you please suggest why I am getting this error.
    Thanks,
    Shiva

Not really the best way to go.  You'll waste a lot of time and it may not work for your receiver.  Most email hosts have file size limits that make emailing video files a problem.  Better choice is upload you video to YouTube or some other file sharing site then email a link.

  • Partitioning HDD after installing boot camp?

I installed XP Pro SP2 on boot camp no problem and partitioned my 1TB HDD as 100Gb windows and 900Gb Mac. I edit video so I would like to partition the Mac part of the disk to give me a system drive and a video drive. Can I do this, or will I erase the boot camp win xp pro when I set the new partition. Can you please advise what to do?

Boot Camp is not flexible, is not going to support more partitions, not with MBR, so until Windows supports GPT along with Mac you are stuck with the limits there are.
For video drive, I recommend an actual drive, not just a volume on same drive.
Mount an external drive to where you want.

  • WLC 5508, SW 6.0.199.4, 1142 AP: Clients getting dropped intermittently

We have deployed a WLC 5508 w/ SW version 6.0.199.4, 1142 AP's & open authentication w/ MAC filtering. Clients are randomly getting dropped with "Limited Access" shown in Win 7. In this state, the client machine is unable to ping the gateway and sometimes lose their DHCP assigned IP as well. A manual disconnect/re-connect to the SSID is required everytime.
I ran a debug on one the clients stuck in the "Limited Access" state (debug client xx:xx:xx:xx):

  • Final Cut Pro X and Sony Handycam HDR-CX105

I'm thinking of buying Final Cut Pro X, but the list of compatible cameras here:
Cameras supported by Final Cut Pro X - Apple Support
doesn't contain the HDR-CX105 - although it seems to contain literally dozens of other Sony AVCHD cameras.
Does anyone know if this is simply an omission, or does its absence from the list mean that it won't be possible to import directly?  I'd rather avoid having to convert files first, especially since Final Cut Pro will now accept AVCHD files.
Thanks for any advice on this.
    Lyndon

Hi Tom - there has been a development, of sorts.
I had been recording onto the 32Gb Pro Duo memory stick, and FCP X didn't seem to recognise it. The 'NO NAME' disk that appeared on my desktop would appear to be the camera's internal memory, and that didn't contain any data.
I switched to Internal Memory, recorded a clip and connected the camera again. This time, NO NAME appeared under Cameras, and the MTS clip appeared in the Input window. The trouble is that my internal memory is only 8Gb, which only gives me an hour's recording time. Am I likely to be stuck with this limitation? I have just ordered a USB card reader from Amazon which apparently reads Pro Duo sticks in the hope that that might work...
Many thanks for your prompt help!

  • How to connect the two virtual machine .

I installed VM workstation and created two virtual machine .Please suggest me how to connect them internally each other though vm network editor.I want create RAC Setup for practice.

NAT is the default adapter type in VirtualBox, which will work in almost any configuration and networking environment. Using the NAT adapter, the host system will establish connections on behalf of the guest OS. NAT requires that the corresponding VM guest adapter uses DHCP and cannot be used to provide any services unless you configure port forwarding (>1024) at the VirtualBox VM NAT adapter.
Bridged networking is the most transparent adapter type, but requires a physical network adapter on the host OS, which is limited depending on the host system and hardware, e.g. wireless. It also requires that the user understands network and routing restrictions of the host system in case of using the interface to communicate between the host and VM. A combination of host-only and NAT may sometimes be necessary to allow the VM to connect to the internet and allow the host to communicate with the VM guest OS.
Btw, the host-only adapter IP actually works on behalf of the host OS and can be used to allow the VM to access the host system. So if Internet is not required, the NAT or bridged adapter are not required. I'm not sure if many people realize that, since it's not really mentioned in the documentation. So if you use the host-only adapter, simply use the host-only IP instead of the host system real IP to connect the VM to the host OS.
I also switched to VirtualBox a couple of years ago, mainly because it provides more VM hardware options, is free and because of the ability to manage multiple virtual machines and group them together. I have about 70 virtual machines for testing and evaluating configured on my home computer. I also like the option in VirtualBox to clone a VM based on a Snapshot.
VMware provides a Virtual Network Editor in VMware Workstation (KB 1018697), which allows to customize any of the existing virtual network adapter or add new ones. The available technologies under any Type 2 hypervisor are very similar between different products:

  • Picture not centralized on my Sharp 42"?

Use DVI-HDMI from Macmini to the Sharp LC-42XD1E.
My problem is that the picture is not in center of the TV but 2cm to the left leaving a black stripe to the right of the screen.
The TV settings for vertical and horizontal changes is not active in the TV menu.
The Macmini's settings for changing position does not show for this screen as it says you can try to use in the help section.
Please, anyone that can help me?

While I do have a theory as to what might be the problem, what I don't have is a good suggestion for a fix. What I think is happening is that the polarity of horizontal sync pulses are reversed from what the TV is expecting causing it to synchronize to the wrong edge of the sync pulse, e.g. syncing to the trailing edge of the Hsync pulse instead of the leading edge as it should.
If that is the case, you may be able to flip the polarity of horizontal sync using a program like SwitchRes X. But I can't say for sure that will work or not because I don't even know for sure if the mini's hardware or driver will allow for inverting sync. Or if you can't flip the polarity, you may be able to alter the sync timing (porch settings) and thereby move the edge the TV is (wrongly) working from to its correct phase/position relative to the video signal. If you can actually count the number of missing pixels from the edge, that would be the amount by which to shift the porch values. Again, that's a pretty messy solution and I'm not even sure it would work or not.
The only other thing I can think to try is to switch to a VGA connection and see if the problem goes away. But that's not a great solution either because then you are stuck with other limitations of that interface. Although none of those limitations is as bad as a shifted picture.

  • What external Hardrive

    Hi,
I'm looking for a an external hardrive for backing up my system and storing bulky files. I'd like a Firewire 400/800 drive preferably.
The 'Maxtor OneTouch II 300GB Firewire 800/USB2.0' looks promising. Anyone got one?
On a seperate matter are there any SATA cards that don't affect 'sleep'. My next step in storage will be an eSATA setup I suspect.
    Thanks in advance.

As you have a Quad your SATA host adapter choices are limited to PCIe. The Sonnet E4P and E4i both support sleep mode. You can see more on the E4P here:
    http://www.amug.org/amug-web/html/amug/reviews/articles/sonnet/e4p/
Today FirmTek announced their 2 port PCIe card will ship in the 3rd quarter for $99. It will support sleep. The press release is here:
    http://www.firmtek.com/seritek/seritek-2se2-e/
There are other PCIe SATA cards coming as low as $50 that are Mac compatible but I do not know if they will support sleep yet.
As far as FW800 you pay a lot for these enclosures and I am not sure I would buy one just for backup. FW400 is pretty good for this purposre - about 65-70% as fast. WiebeTech has the Maxelerate FW400/USB enclosure on sale for $49.95 and AMUG members get another 10% off.
This enclosure is die cast aluminum and includes a FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 hub. The fan keeps the drive cool and the enclosure has a small foot print.
    http://www.wiebetech.com/products/maxelerate.php
I would buy the Maxtor 300GB at Outpost on sale for $89.99
    http://shop1.outpost.com/product/4187703
and put it in the WiebeTech Maxelerate enclosure. You can see a review of the Maxelerate here:

  • Re: ActiveX problems with 3.0.F.2 (fwd)

Forte has very specific requirements for ActiveX controls. We found out the
hard way that Forte does not support the use of all ActiveX controls.
Here is some information I received from Mark Cooper at Forte:
With a bit more digging I found that ActiveX controls are required to adhere
to two restrictions in the Forte environment. ActiveX controls are required
to provide a single interface (and cannot include irrelevant nested
interfaces) and must implement Apartment model threading (technote 11344).
You can use the OLE-Com Object Viewer to determine whether a control
    fulfills both of these requirements.
Hope this helps. As I understand it, a future release (3G or 4???) will have
better support of ActiveX controls. But in the mean time you are stuck to
    these limitations.

  • CA-DMS and MM PLANT

    Hello,
I create a DMS document type TE1 link with table MARC.
But i want to link also the DMS in my material (MM01) but at plant.
    Can you help me ?

The table for DMS is DRAW. I suggest you enlist the services of an ABAP programmer. Modifying table data is not something to tread lightly on and you may be stuck with some limitations on the data based on whether the data is locked for change or not.
