Hot Key of Link to action won't work

Hi,
tried to create a link to action witha hotkey, but unfortunately the action is not triggered. Action is triggered when I click the link
using 7.1.1
is there something else i need to activate? Tried it with IE7 and FF

My key between z and c won't work

I am getting dings! My, well, key between z and c won't work in either case and dings at me when pressed. My MacBook is fairly new and I have never had any trouble before. Who knew I would need that key so much?

The first thing that comes to mind is that you might have accidentally set up the "x" key to be a keyboard shortcut ... which results in an error because whatever it's a shortcut for is often not possible in the context when you're typing.
Check System Preferences, in the Keyboard and Mouse section, and click on the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. I would first check at the bottom where you can add custom keyboard shortcuts, but you may also need to look through the other sections to see if you somehow set "x" to be a shortcut for any of them.
Of course, if you remember going into that preferences section, you might be able to more quickly determine what happened...

Assigned F key to play an action does not work. Why? Using cs6 iMac and wireless key board

Assigned F key to play an action does not work to play the action on an image. When the F key is selected it seams to control computer attributes rather than the play action assigned in photoshop. Why? Using cs6 iMac and wireless key board.
Is this a possible preference setting in mac or is it a setting in cs6 photoshop ? Help and knowledge will be appreciated.

Link to action doesn't work in a POWL application

Hi,
I have developed a web dynpro ABAP application and it is called by portal,
This WD calls standard POWL, in a POWL there is a LinkToAction field.
When I click on field the system should open a new window (shopping cart detail),
but it doesn't happen anything.
which could the problem be?

1. Define an Action (corresponding to your Link to action which is typically the FIELD Name of the column in POWL Table) in your POWL feeder Implementation "IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTION" .
IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTION is a standard object of custom feeder class, how can I define a new Action?

This has a document (POWL.doc) for POWL, refer page number 20. You can use parameter C_ACTION_DEFS for explicitly defining Actions.

My batch action won't work but when I run the action on a single picture it works

I'm on a Mac and I set up 2 actions the first one to resize a photo and the second one to make a frame with my photography business logo on it. The actions have previously worked fine with no issues and now all of a sudden it won't work on a batch action but it will work fine on a single photo. Please help!!!

After safari 7.1.3 upgrade some features and links in websites won't work

I upgraded to safari 7.1.3 for mavericks. I have a macbook pro 13". Everything worked fine before, but after the upgrade some features and links in different websites just wont work. what can I do? Also different pop ups like mackeeper keep coming up, and that didn't happen before.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow Apple Support's instructions to remove it.
If you have trouble following those instructions, see below.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. This procedure works as of now, as far as I know. It may not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
          com.something.daemon.plist
and
           com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable string of characters, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes it's a meaningless string such as "e8dec5ae7fc75c28" rather than a word. Sometimes the string is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
          com.something.agent.plist
where the string something is the same as before.

It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name; it doesn't vary. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
          Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
          Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

Renamed Home page to "index," now my other pages' links to home won't work

I made a website on Iweb, bought a domain name from Hosting4less, and got an ftp client (cyberduck) to upload it. The Hosting4less support guy told me to rename my "home" page to "index" so that everything would actually show up once I'd uploaded it. This worked, and now, starting from home, I can go to any page. However, from the other pages, when I click back to the home link, I get this:
The requested URL /Home.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I guess the renaming mixed up the other pages' links to the home page. How do I fix this? I don't know code, so I can't really go in and fix it that way. It seems like Iweb won't allow it either... help???

with iWeb you don't need to rename any page to "index" as publishing already creates a page called "index".
I guess you're publishing to a folder, the result of publishing is an index.html file and a folder named with the name you gave to the site in iWeb. You have to upload the folder and the index.html file.
Pages should never be renamed after you publish as that breaks the whole structure of the website (all the links that refer to this page).
Republish from iWeb and reupload (also don't name a page index in iWeb as that may conflict with iWeb already generating such files).

"Link to" slides won't work with external monitor

I built a presentation with a lot of "link to" commands in it. It works perfectly when I run it on the desktop (MBP retina), but when I plug in a second monitor none of the link to's will work. Why would that be and how can I fix it?

I tried a different adapter and this solved the problem.

Links in iframe won't work

I have iFrames in a number of my pages that have been working fine but now all of a sunnden none of the links or scrollong will work in Safari or Firefox.

As I can see from the code of the page, you seems to have a invisible rectangle (one with blue border and rounded corners) on top of the iframe HTML item.
You need to select the rectangle and then Right click>Arrange>Send to back to place it behind the html.

Action won't work on a quickbooks .qbmd file

I'm trying to create the simplest of actions, and I can't get it to work. I think it has something to do with the type of file (quickbooks *.qbmd file) because the flow will work with other file types.
Here's the desired flow:
1. In a designated folder, select a designated file.
2. Make a copy of this file.
3. Change extension of copy to ".txt"
As i said, it works if "designated file" is something like ".doc", or whatnot. But I can't for the life of me get this action to work on the quickbooks file.
Anybody have any ideas?

Links in Google won't work properly.

For example, if I type "green bay packers" in the Google window, then search, a link might appear that reads"Official Site of the Green Bay Packers" with a URL "www.greenbaypackers.com" at the bottom of the link. However, when I click the link, it'll open "Flurry", Infomation", or some other site I don't use, nor intend to use. (However, I can copy the URL & enter it into the URL box at the toppa the page & it'll work properly. My bookmarx are not bothered by this prob.)
I use Google as my home page.(Not Chrome.) The prob also exists in Safe mode.

My Actions won't work without asking questions and clicking 'ok' after every single step. What to do?

Hey!
I use Photoshop CC and Lightroom.
Usually I prep my pictures in Lightroom and use the Batch function to add a vintage look to it with some actions I downloaded.
This has always worked great for me!
But since today Photoshop opens a window after every step. I have to confirm every single step!
So in the end it takes me even longer! And with a few hundred pictures to edit, this is no fun!
I really have to calm my nerves... or else my macbook will be in pieces soon. Wuha!
Would love some tipps!

You might have inadvertently clicked on Toggle Dialog beside the action.
The easiest thing to do is reload the actions into photoshop.
(delete the existing action from the actions panel and then reload a fresh copy)

Convenience keys won't work...

When I lock my BB Curve 9300, I can't unlock it. All 3 convenience keys (right, left and mute) won't work. PLEASE HELP!!! I have to take the battery out to get it to unlock

To rule out any Software issue I prefer you should Reload your Device Software and see if that helps otherwise you need to contact your Service provider for repair.So please try it first.

LENOVO G580 HOT KEY NOT WORKING

Sir, I bought lenovo laptop g580 my model no is
WB0208030S.. i bought one month before... now the hot keys for brightness, volume , wireless are not working... i can't operate my hotkeys which is now harder to activate wifi for me ...when i press Fn+f5 key the wireless option which displayed before is not now showing it is same for brightness(Fn+down/up) and volume (Fn+right)....

All the hotkeys combinations are controlled by the lenovo energy management software. So i reccomend you to reinstall/install it again. Its setup would be present in the lenovo drive of your hdd. If not then please download it from support site.

URL Hyperlink that wraps from line to line won't work in PDF

What's going on with the hyperlink feature that I can't make my links work in the PDF (or in InDesign). I searched for this topic on here and found a couple things that I tried, but with no success.
I am using a PC, InDesign CS2 and Acrobat 8.
A couple of my hyperlinks have lengthy addresses that wrap to the next line. Even when I change the Name to a shortened name and try to link them they won't work. All the addresses are correct and work on their own.
Do you have to use http:\\ or the www.? That would resolve one of my links, but the others all have the www included in the title, but still don't work.

It sounds as if you are not actually making your hyperlinks in InDesign, but relying on Acrobat to interpret them. This
is a shortcoming in Acrobat that it will interpret a www.~~~ type format as a hyperlink, but stops at the end of the line.
Your best option to guarantee hyperlinks working in the PDF is to form them properly in InDesign using the Hyperlinks panel.
