Hot spot 200 / 500 data loss

long story on broadband speed router still resets now and again but speed between 3.5 and just over 5 mbps noise 9 last night the data light on the hotspot 200 comes on and coudlnt watch catch up tv the red data light on the 500 appears from time to time, the 200 master is hardwired into the router all been working fine for approx 1 year ( i mean the hotspots)  currently red light constantly on (500) and the master 200 ???

I found the following advice on the Hotspot 500 support page.
My Broadband Extender or Home Hotspot has lost its connection and the Data light is off. How can I reconnect?
First, try to turn it off, then back on again. Wait a couple of minutes to check if the Data light comes back on.
If the Data light stays off, you can simply reconnect your extender to your existing home network by carrying out the following steps:
1. Make sure your broadband extender or hotspot is plugged directly into a wall power socket which is switched on
2. Press the Link button on the extender for 5 to 8 seconds. Wait for the Power light to go back to steady green
3. Press the Link button again, this time for 1 second
4. Within 2 minutes, press the Link button on one of the broadband extenders already in your home for 1 second to complete the connection to the network
Wait for connection to complete. If everything’s okay, the Power and Data indicators on the extender will light up.
If you continue to lose the connection there is contact info on the link I included above for the hotspot support helpdesk.

    There is a big misconception in what customers believe a cell carrier is obligated to do.
    You pay a set price to use up to that amount of xx data. It makes no difference if you use it to the paid limit or way under. Its like peace of mind when you don't have to worry about a data counter.
    Your daughter used the data, your plan is quite clear of what overage charges are. Why should or would Verizon wireless just forgive the charges because you are a customer? Your daughter used the data, get the money from her. That is the responsible thing to do.
    There is no "I have been a loyal customer so please remove the $120, or $250, or $2,000.00 since I did not mean to use it"
    Your electric company, or gas company or any other company does not remove valid charges. Why should Verizon wireless?
    Just pay the invoice and don't think you are being mistreated because Verizon is a business and not a charity.

    Power down your Jetpack while it is not in use, at least until you get your usage problem under control.  Bring your PC to a different area and see if you can let it sit connected for a while to complete whatever it is struggling with.

    Basically yes.  Personal Hotspot means you are sharing out your Cellular Data connection.
    If you give the Hotspot password to someone they will use your Cellular data to access the internet.

    Hi Friend,
    If you turn off Cellular Data you are unable to use hotspot.
    But you can turn on Airplane Mode and them turn on Wifi, then you can use Wifi wherever you are with Wifi connection. But remember, if you turn on Airplane mode, it automatically turn off your Wifi, so you need to trun on it again,

    Initially there was no Personal HotSpot appearing on my phone , but i configured it while going in the cellular section and it appeared on the main Setting options with On/Off button and it was Working Fine , (this was mentioned in the many discussions and that fixed my Issue) , but now Suddenly the Option of Personal Hot Spot has disappeared from the Menu , I have gone to cellular , then Cellular Data to on the Personal Hot spot but there only Appears , Cellular Data & MMS
    No Personal Hot Spot option is appearing or available.
    i have tried following steps to fix the issue as recommended in the Apple Support community blogs, :
    Reset Network settings
    Hard reset
    On/Off the phone
    Delete the Extra Profiles.

    I understand that you are no longer seeing the option for Personal Hotspot on your iPhone. In this situation, Personal Hotspot may not be configured with your carrier. Please use the information in the attached article as a resource.

  • Complete data loss and can't hot sync to user - Zire 72

    I had a complete data loss on my Zire 72s due to battery drain.  I have the palm desktop back ups on a pc Windows vista and mac os 10.  I reset the device and now cannot get it to identify the desktop user account to sync and can't seem to find a way to add the same user name to the handheld.
    Any information, steps to help me out would be great so I can get the info back onto my zire. 
     p.s.  I also lost my solitaire game and where I can download this app again would be welcome as well.

    I have the Tour 9630, and an Ipod Touch.  Is it possible to use the BB as a hot spot so I can use the internet on my Ipod when I am away from an internet connection?

    I looked on apple.com and it said to look in the Network area of the setup and only saw VPN connections.  But I wanted to make sure I didnt miss anything.

  • Strange navigation in ALV hot-spot.

    Hi All,
    I have a strange problem, which I hope to get som advice about.
    Anyway I have created an ALV-report with hot-spot.
    The hot-spot executes the line below and of course it "jumps" to VA03.
    CALL TRANSACTION 'VA03' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
    The strange thing happens when I press 'F3' and returns to the ALV.
    The first time I do this, - it works fine, but when I 're-click' on the hot-spot Im again directed to transaction VA03.
    Now have to press 'F3' twice to get back to the ALV.
    Same thing happens when I 're-re-click' the hot-spot. But now I have to press 'F3' three times.
    Does anyone have an Idea how to solve this?
    I use the event to handle the hot-spot and I have attached the PBO snippet below to ease your understanding of my program.
    Please feel free to ask for more information

    A slip of the mouse in trying to return to the left-most tab caused the tab groups feature to take over the window. I completely failed to comprehend what I was looking at and closed the thing by clicking the x because I damn sure didn't want what I was looking at. Undo close group? Of course not, I didn't want a group in the first place. Hey! My tabs are completely gone now! So in just a few steps all of which seemed innocent, I have lost all but ten of the tabs that were open, and those were only the most recent ten (and actually older tabs would have been more valueable than newer so insult on top of injury).
    I don't think increasing the number of undoable tab closures is the answer. I think getting rid of the tab groups feature all together is the best way to go. I seem to have lost all the tabs I had open, irretrievably, and some of them had been open for WEEKS so they can't be reopened from history.
    The tab groups feature is a data loss bug. Please remove it from the UX completely. If you have to figure out a way to grandfather people who actually have a tab group, fine but don't further vex me with it, please.
    The reason this catastrophe has occurred is that your feature, was so discoverable that I activated it by mistake, and the UI after that had to be learned on the spot, yet was too complicated to learn. You really should withdraw it until you can figure out how to keep the UI for it from causing data loss such as I have experienced this morning.
    Also, there may be other questions on this feature which are from a certain point of view the same as this one. It's hard for me to tell for sure. None of them had a true resolution so that's why I posted this one, also I'm seeking a specific fix, removal of the offending feature.
    Why remove the feature? Because if I allow in my discussion the possibility of retaining it, it will stick around in its present and dangerous form until your team is done bikeshedding the new form it should take. Instead I want you to delete the feature and then require its champion to convince you that a new incarnation won't cause data loss before you allow it back in.
    Fellow users, if you know of a way to recover all 50 lost tabs from an "undo close tab group incident", I would be grateful for that advice, but I would still believe the feature should be deleted. Some of the tabs have been retained for months so digging them out of the history is not practical.

    I am not 100% certain but I am fairly sure development of this tab feature has ceased and it is likely to be deprecated. I am even less sure what the replacement will be.

    I have not tried this and am not even using Windows at present but the tabs groups are stored as entries in the sessionstore.js files. Firefox has such a file plus sometimes numbered copies and a backup copy. Firefox will have re-writen these files but I suppose there is a posibility the Windows OS may have kept copies.

    Find and backup any current sessionstore.js file. Consider also bookmark or otherwise recording anything you have open. Now find any previous versions and try putting them in Firefox's profile before restarting it.

    Good pointer.  It lead me to a phonenumber to call and a real person who said she could help set up my personal hot spot.   After that things too a turn for the worse.  She could not set up the hot spot without cancelling my grandfathered  unlimited data plan.  She said I had to cancel that and buy a $50/mo 5Gig plan.  I told her that is not what the AT&T wireless iPad support web site said.  She wouldn't budge and I wouldn't cave in and accept a new plan - so - I did not get a hot spot, but I get to keep my unlimited $30/mo data plan.
    End of discussion for now.  I'm going to try to find a basis for an appeal.  Wish me luck.  If I succeed, I'll post here.  If not, thanks to the members of this support community for your assistance.
