Hotmail emails won't update and download since this morning
TThis morning when I went to open my emails in Hotmail, it wouldn't download any new emails. emails from April 7th and prior are there but current emails from after are not there. They were there as of last night but gone this morning. Also, when I check my email on my laptop in Hotmail, all the emails are up-to-date and are continuing to update. Somehow, my IPad will not access Hotmail after 4-7-15 today. I have tried turning it off and I have installed all the latest updates in software.

You can log out of the currently logged in account by taping on the id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and you can then log back in.
If you updated your existing account with a new email address then that shoud 'refresh' it on it
If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can redownload its content and download updates to its apps. You should be able to update an account's email address via this page : http://appleid.apple.com -
Why won't my iMac print consistantly to my compatible HP 6500A? I've checked for updates and downloaded the lasted software...still can't print. All my other Mac devices find the printer but the iMac is hit and miss. I'm operating the Mac OS X Lion 10.7.
When you say hit and miss do you mean sometimes you print a whole document with no problems, or do you mean each document has problems? This is from HP's website for your printer:
Your sig says 10.6.7 but your message says 10.7. So if it's really Lion, this printer isn't officially supported. Elsewhere on HP's site it says updated drivers will be available on your Mac via Software Update. Have you run that recently? -

I know how to do the updates. What I dont know is what size each update that I have completed was. I am having a data usage disagreement with my Telco and want to prove to them that this computer did not download the amount of data they are claiming it did.

my ipod nano4th gen will not download the purchased songs in itunes v11. Just upgraded to mac 10.6.8-won't synch new songs since this upgrade. The ipod is seen in the itunes as the devise, and the nano screens says synching when plugged into the macmini usb port, but the itunes window does not say it is synching like it has before so whats the culprit? Techno virgin in distress!
PS - I added an iphone5 which is whay these upgrades happened so this synching to the ipod error is since the iphone began synching.I just learn in some post that the most common lapses in syncing is not checking if "sync music" in music section of the ipod is ticked. So double check if it is. Cheers!

Yahoo e-mail won't update the time since it's last update
Ok, so Yahoo Push has been unreliable since the release of the iPhone. However as of today I have a new issue.
When I go into my Yahoo e-mail Inbox on my iPhone and hit the update button, my e-mail account will update and download my new e-mails, however the "Updated Time" at the bottom of the screen seems to be stuck at 9:43am.
I have done the following to fix the issue to no avail:
- soft reset
- hard reset
- deleted the yahoo email account from the iPhone and re-installed it
- cleared cache, history and cookies from my iPhone
This issue only happens with my Yahoo INBOX. When I go to my trash, sent or other folders once the update has happened the "Updated Time" will change in those folders.
BTW - I am using a Yahoo Plus! account and switching to a Gmail account isn't a feasible solution.
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Anyone know how to fix this issue?
Your help is appreicated.Out of desperation here is what I did to fix my problem. I should note that while this refreshed the time for when my inbox was most recently updated it also made my Yahoo Push emails come through immediateley and is still continuing to work.
1. Log into my Yahoo account (on my computer) and put all my inbox emails in a temporary holding folder
2. Update my Yahoo inbox on my iPhone so that it will show no emails in my Yahoo inbox
3. Delete my Yahoo account on my iPhone
4. Log back into Yahoo on my computer and drag all the the emails that I placed in the "holding folder" back into my inbox
5. Hard reset my iPhone
6. Create a new Yahoo account on my iPhone using the settings provided by the iPhone
7. Once the iPhone confirms the account viola...time is now updated on my inbox to show the most current date/time that it was updated and my Yahoo push emails are coming through without a problem.

itunes update would not install due to an error, now itunes won't run and I get this error message when I try to launch itunes: iTunes.exe - Unable to Locate Component "This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

My bestfriend signed in my phone as her iTunes which she owes money to i tried logging back into mine and it won't let i tried setting and iTunes logout logged in as me and it say it but when i go to update and download a app its still showing up her username and stuff so i can't do anything .
What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app ? You could try tapping on the id there and logging out of it and then log back in with your account - if your friend downloaded any apps then those apps will be tied to her account, so only her account will be able to download updates to her apps.

Remove the email account from the phone. Verify the mobile server settings associated with that email domain. Add the account back to the phone.

jackchildi'm here because i have a question about software update, but your question intrigues me. from what i understand, you're talking about two different things. i'm on the same version of osx and i have an application that is called App Store. I have placed it in my dock. do you have this? I believe it is part of the os. when you open the app there are columns on the top, just like the ios app store, the one on the far right being updates. when you click on this it offers you the option to update all of your "purchased" apps for Mac, with "purchased" including free apps. Unfortunately, unlike the ios app store, you still need to sign into itunes/icloud to get the updates. i'm sure they will change this in a future update because it's simply silly.i believe that your Apple ID and password are the same between itunes and the icloud, since they synch with each other -- they are for me, so the different IDs and passwords referenced above refer to this community forum vs itunes/icloud.

Apple Mail won't update and keeps recovering the same message.
My Apple Mail hasn't been working since 31st January. Every time I open it the same email just continues duplicating itself in the "Recovered messages" folder so I end up with hundreds of them. This email was the last email that was successfully sent and I was overseas at the time. When I returned home, my email would not update and it has not worked since.
I have tried rebuilding and taking mailboxes offline and online. Should I delete the 'mail' folder from my library? Any suggestions would be appreciated! I have not been using a Mac for too long, so I tend not to know what to do when something goes wrong.Hello,
You'd only want to delete boxes/accounts if you could afford to loose all those emauls.

I "updated" my iPhone4S 16gig this morning and can't get past the "Rescue Email" screen. I entered emails as well as opted out. I have gone back, but Apple ID Security insists I add security questions and mail. HELP!
Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. What caused you to get the impression that I was writing something else? furthermore this sentence - "The solution you described in your initial message isn't actually once since all the time you were operating on different account that weren't actually linked" does not make sense, I think you mis-edited it.and I need to point out that you are incorrect.
