So? Huh? Now? Is this the reason why deleted mail is constantly coming back into the program? (When I delete mail, the next time the program requests mail, the deleted mail is downloaded again, and marked unread)

Either change the setting to comply with the requirement or put up with the errors, it is fairly simple really.
I have Zero interest in what you have to say is legal or debating the issue. The server at outlook is rejecting your login attempt with the error message telling you why. You don't like it rejecting your attempts take it up with Microsoft, it is their server and their policy.
A good diagnostic is to restart your operating system in safe mode with networking and see if that changes the symptom. (It will not stop the rejection of login attempts)

Hotmail error message with attachment

Recently when I have tried to add an attachment to a hotmail e-mail, I receive an error that states "This file couldn't be added because it appears to have empty (0 bytes). I know that the document and/or pictures are there as I can see them. I reviewed the windows live forum and it states to clear your cache and cookies, I did this. It further states that if you are still having problems contact your internet support, i.e. Firefox. I use a Mac, not sure if that makes a difference.

I had the same problem. I currently use firefox but I tried uploading the file on safari, and it worked! I don't know how to fix the problem or why it happens, but safari worked for me.

I've just upgraded and my hotmail connection on longer works... it just says 'cannot get mail- the connection to the server failed'
Why is this? and how do I solve it?

Password incorrect hotmail error

I have two hotmail accounts, on both my ipad and iphone ... it CONSTANTLY asks for a password. I can go to account, enter it and it gets verified. 10 minutes later, it is asking for a password again, saying password incorrect. I have:
Tried changing the password shorter has some blogs say.
I have made them have different passwords.
I have tried deleting the account, restoring the phone and recreating.
It continues after the IOS 7.03 upgrade
Nothing. Still having this issue for going on 3 months. It is very irritating, but it seems like I am caught between MSFT and Apple. Any ideas?
And, my exchange and gmail accounts are working just fine without this issue. Exchange might ask for a password once a month or so, but nothing like hotmail.

Hotmail error

Hi,
my mac mail won't retrieve my emails from hotmail account? Does anybody know how to solve this problem? This being said, my gmail works fine with mac mail.

After countless amount of reading discussions and attempts, I am now very convinced that it is either macbook OS or mac mail that is blocking pop3 access.
I have a hanmail account which allows both pop3 and imap when adding an account to mac mail.
When I added the hanmail account to mac mail using pop3 account type, mac mail was unable to receive nor send emails. However, when I added using imap account type, i was able to retrieve emails and send emails. The same attempt on my pc using windows live mail using the same internet network had no problems with both pop3 and imap account type.
I'm definitely sure that my settings for pop3 (both hotmail and hanmail) are correct.
Can somebody please help me with how to fix this problem please?

Cannot get mail for Hotmail

anyone experiance this??... it works perfectly before... but since the past 2 days... i always receive the error "Cannot get mail"....
and this only happen to my Hotmail accoutns... the rest of my mail works perfectly...

I have linked my [email protected] address to the microsoft account which is working just fine elsewhere.

There could be a few possible causes for something like this.
The first is a server problem which will resolve itself when the server is fixed. If not then you could try removing and setting up the account again from scratch. You can only do this if the problem account is not the main Microsoft account on your phone. Also try uninstalling Skype which has been associated with similar issues.

Lenovo 1 Year Warranty Status appears incorrect on H430

I am new to Lenovo and this forum...
(Thank you to Andy for getting me started with my other problem, "H430 Recovery Disk".)
My next problem:    The One Year Lenovo "Warranty Expiration" is not correct as displayed on the Lenovo on-line "Warranty Status" web page.
My new Lenovo model   "H430"   machine's warranty status is listed as July 2013 on the Lenovo Warranty Status web page.      However,   I purchased the H430 machine only 3 days ago on 21 August '12.
Background info:    By telephone, a Lenovo rep in Atlanta told me my "H430" was   "idea"   branded and he gave me a phone number for "idea"...      which connected me with Miles at the Lenovo center in the Philippines.    It was difficult to understand Miles... but I understood him to say that I should send a "scanned" copy of the receipt by email to Lenovo.     Again,   difficult to understand but I understood Miles to give me the following email address: [email protected]
After emailing the scanned receipt to that address,     I received a message from my Hotmail.com email provider which said something to the effect of:
"Warning, your email has been DELAYED.   You do not need to re-transmit your email"
Can anyone tell me if    "[email protected]"    is in fact the correct email address I should use to send the scanned receipt with my purchase date...    ie. to allow the Lenovo Corporation to correct the one year warranty status date as displayed on the "warranty status" web page ?

Thank you for the follow up...   I am sorry about not responding sooner. For some reason it took a while between the 1st Hotmail error message which said "my email was delayed"   until the 2nd Hotmail message which said my email with the scanned purchase receipt was "not deliverable".   Unfortunately because of my concerns regarding obtaining warranty service on the Lenovo H430,    I have already exchanged the H430 for another computer.    So... since I no longer own the H430 I will not be following up on obtaining the correct email address to transmit the "scanned" purchase receipt to correct the warranty status expiration date. Thank you for taking the time to follow up on this for me.   /mike

Thanks for this - not an immediate solution I fear but will keep unplugging stuff and restarting stuff.
To try and be clearer about the problem - I have in the last managed to send attachments successfully. Now I can send and receive plain email messages but get the error message when I try to attach an existing file to an email - not just a particular file but it would appear all files are being treated in the same way.
An experiment to send a mail to which an attachment has failed to upload got the following message alongside the SEND button
Files with errors will be removed from the email and not sent.

Can't open any files in hotmail account or even post on there forum anymore. I am not receiving any error messages.

This started a couple days ago. I can log into my hotmail account but I can't do anything once in it. What I can do from day to day varies. I have never received an error message. Day one I could log into hotmail but not open any files or emails. Day two was the same problem. Today, I was able to open some files and emails but cant send an email. I posted on hotmail's troubleshooting forum but today I can't even access their response to tell them their "solution" did not work. All that happens is I get the blue circle of Windows that shows up when waiting for something. The top tabs will indicate it is connecting and it flashes like crazy.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
