Hotmail - how not to save password

Hi
I set up a hotmail account using my iPhones's email application however it always remembers the password. I want it to forget the password so that when I check email I have to niter it each time. How can I achieve this?

I didn't see any, but you could do some more research... Or you could make a web app go to https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1325558448&rver=6.1.6 206.0&wp=MBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fmail.live.com%2Fm%2F%3Fmkt%3Den-us%26is%3D1012&lc =1033&id=64855&pcexp=false. Then login after that tap the frame with the arrow coming out of it at the bottom of the page next to the tabs. Then tap "Add To Homescreen" and you are good to go. Hope this helps! Cheers.

How can I save passwords for apps

You either write them down somewhere or you check the "remember me" (or something similar) button while in the app.  There is no universal way to save them.  It's up to the writer of the app whether or not to save credentials.

Did you try deleting the mail account, then adding it back?   I've read a lot of times that is what needs to happen in order for it to work properly.

    Hi,
From the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Autofill tab. Select the box next to:
    User names and passwords.
Navigate to a site you normally log into with the user name and password. Click Yes when prompted. That will save that information to a new keychain for you.
Passwords are actually stored in your Keychain Access application. (Applications/Utilities)

If you are referring to passwords other than your AppleId and Mail account, you can check the App store. there are at least a couple of keychain apps available.

  • How do I save password info for a site when Firefox does not offer to?

Certain sites that require a password I do not remember ever being offered the opportunity to save a password for that site, so it doesn't show up in rejected, and I can find no option to get Firefox to offer to save password info for me...aside from this I have been very pleased with Firefox since i made the switch in Sept...Thank you, a technically challenged grandmother...

If a website doesn't offer to store the password then chances are that it doesn't fill that password either if you use the "Saved Passwords Editor" extension. You can only use that extension in such a case as a reminder in case you forget the password.

  • How not to see password in the script?

    Hi all,
    11.2.0.1
    Aix 6.1 5L
    I have a script expdp01.sh
    Which contains:
    expdp system/$1 schemas=HR
Then I can run the script at  $ expdp01.sh  hrpass
This is done so that the password will not be hard-coded in the script. Is this a good idea?
Is there a way to hide the input parameter?
    Thanks a lot,

  • How do I save passwords; the dialog box has no yes option

Whenever I fill in a user name then fill in a password, the dialog box appears asking if I want to save the password. There is a drop down box offering two options, to save or not to save. I choose to save which is in fact the default. However, there is no place to confirm or click ‘yes’ or ‘OK’, just the small ‘x’ in the top right corner. I click that and the box goes away, but the password is not saved!

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you need to close and restart Firefox).

It is possible that there is a problem with the key3.db and signons.sqlite files that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox.<br />
Rename the key3.db and signons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.<br />
You can add .old to the file names (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) or move them to another folder to make it possible to undo the action.<br />
You need to set a new Master Password after renaming or deleting key3.db and all currently saved passwords are lost.<br />
If that has worked then you can remove the renamed files that are no longer needed.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • How to auto save passwords

    Hi,
I want to auto save all my passwords without clicking on the prompt. I am reading there is a way to do that, although its called a "hack" so I am not sure how good it is.
Allegedly I need to make changes to a file called nsloginmanagerprompter.js. But I run a mac and I cannot see this file in my components folder. I run Firefox 5. (Upgrading it results is webmaster tools etc no longer working, which is why I am on an older version still)
Can you advise if I am doing the right thing by trying to do this with a "hack"? Sounds a bit dodgy. And if is ok to do it that way, why cannot I find this file?
    Are you able to clarify?
    Jen

A lot of files have been moved to a JAR archive file (omni.ja) and are no longer present in the Firefox application folder as individual files.
Use this URL to browse the omni.ja archive in the Firefox application folder.

  • How do I save passwords when I initialy told it "never for this site"?

I have several sites that I want to save the password for, but when the prompt first showed up I clicked on "never for this site" and now I want to change to remember but the prompt doesn't show up and I don't know where to find it.

  • You can't let Keychain not to save passwords in Apple Mail 7 ?

    Really?
Only way for me to remember those passwords, are typing them from time to time.
Otherway I can't access those mailboxes from other computers or devices.
Any way to get that "Remember this password in my keychain" box back to uncheck it?

I'd just like to know if this is normal for Mail v7, that you have to add passwords to keychain or if there's something wrong with my upgrade to Maverics.

  • [solved] weechat How *Not* To Hide Password in Input Bar.

I am trying to setup weechat with znc. I need to enter the -password option in the input bar. Since it's going to be long as in username/network:password I don't want weechat to hide what I am typing by displaying "*", so I can easily spot and correct typos. There must be an option to stop weechat trying to obscure my password, but I can't find it. Can someone please enlighten me?

I suggest you install the `iset' plugin, as it's very helpful in situations like this. As far as i know, the only setting that covers the `hide the password' issue, is `irc.look.nicks_hide_password' and its default value is `nickserv', so it should hide the password when identifying on nickserv. Still, if you're concerned about typos, you should add the server with a fake password as `aaaaaa' then use iset to change the password, as it is in plain text (or just do `/set irc.server.<your znc server>.password username/network:password').
