Hotmail won't take my HTML Email

Hello All!
Hotmail doesn't seem like it wants to receive my html email. I built the "newsletter" and put it with it's graphics onto my website. Then I pushed "command + i" and it puts it into my Mail appl. like an html email. All seems well.... Then I send it. It works great in Gmail and in Yahoo mail, but it doesn't even show up in my hotmail account? No junkmail not nothing! Please please help! I have been working on this for a four days now trying to figure it out! Here is the URL of my "newsletter":
http://mmonevoice.com/newsletter/MMOV-Newsletter.html
I even checked the newsletter in "Spamchecker" and it loved it. It said that is was great and that I really had nothing to clean. ---??? So I have no idea what's going on with Hotmail. I receive Html emails all the time in Hotmail. So I know it is possible!
OH! I also tried sending it through Entourage (Microsoft Office's "Outlook" for Mac) which was able to send it, but no images came up.... I look forward to a reply! Thank you for your help everyone!

Does anyone have an ideas???

• Possible to save HTML email as HTML?

Is it possible to take an html email I've received and save it as html for easy conversion to a webpage? This is a weekly newsletter (someone else creates it) that gets emailed to people and then put up on the group's website (that I'm in charge of). I've been just saving it as plain text and having to reapply all the formatting once I get it into Dreamweaver, but it seems rather redundant. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I have a shareware program that should do what you want. I don't want to use Apple's discussion board to promote my own software though. Just do a search on "etresoft" and you should find it/me. Contact me via e-mail if you want more info.

• Html emails are not displaying. they just show the code. text emails don't display at all. what's up?

suddenly today my email won't display properly. html emails just display the actual html code instead of a graphic display. Text emails just show a blank page. I have changed the View setting to show messages as original html, simple html and plain text. None of the settings restores things. All these emails were viewable properly yesterday.
Anyone got any ideas as to what's up?

sounds like your index and the data are out of synch. Often the result of anti virus activity either blocking the update of the index or quarantining the whole inbox so there is no mail left to display.
Right click the folder, select properties and then the repair button.

• I need to find a way to put emails on a personal folder that won't take up all my email space.

I'm on a mac and I need to find a way to put emails on a personal folder that won't take up all my email space. I've tried 3 times to set them up, but I keep getting the "almost full" message every night.

Can you tell us exactly what the "almost full" message says? Is it referring to your mailbox (ie, email server space), or your hard drive?
If your email server is almost full, you can store folders and messages on your Mac. In Mail, go to the Mailbox menu, click New Mailbox, and choose the location "On My Mac". Then drag folders into that new mailbox to move them to your local computer, and off the email server.
If your hard drive is full, this won't help, and you need a different approach.
What version of OS X are you running? It helps us for you to put that information into your profile, since there are big differences between versions of OS X.

• Html email - image won't load

You guys are wonderful - when I've worked and worked on a problem and get to the "pulling out my hair" stage, I remember how helpful the forum has been to me . . .
I have put Outlook 2007 on my computer now so I can easily test the quirks of email rendering in that email client.
I'm attempting to test using slices for the nav bar (hopefully a work around for "wonderful" Outlook 2007) but can't get past an image that won't load. I recently combined three images and some text into one image because Outlook was floating the images and spacing them wrong.  The image that I'm referring to which now won't load is http://www.theshimogaproject.com/email/images/shimoga_pics_text.jpg
The original design displays correctly in browsers:  http://www.theshimogaproject.com/email/riverrun-guests-email.html

have anything to do with it?

• Sending HTML email having problem Hotmail

I am sending a HTML email with embedded images the images are appearing fine in Outlook and Yahoo, but in Hotmail the images are displaying but also showing up as attachments. Has anyone had this problem?
thanks

Hi,
I've had a similar problem. I'm trying to outsource my images and style sheets from our website.
I add a text part to the email also and this then shows in Hotmail. The HTML part is still ignored. My code is the following...
      private static boolean sendMessage(String[] to, String subject, String message, String from, String[] filelocation) {
        try {
          String recievers = StringWizard.arrayToText(to, ", ");
          System.err.println("Email.sendMessage() : creating a new email for " + to[0] + " from " + from + ".");
          StringBuffer msg = new StringBuffer(message);
          Properties prop = new Properties();
          prop.put("mail.smtp.auth", "true");
          prop.put("mail.transport.protocol", "smtp");
          prop.put("mail.smtp.host", MAIL_HOST);
          Session mail_Session=Session.getInstance(prop, null);
          InternetAddress fromAddress = new InternetAddress(from);
          InternetAddress toAddress[] = new InternetAddress[to.length];
          for(int i=0;i<to.length;i++) toAddress[i] = new InternetAddress(to);
InternetAddress[] reply = { fromAddress };
MimeMessage myMessage = new MimeMessage(mail_Session);
myMessage.setFrom(fromAddress);
myMessage.setReplyTo(reply);
for(int i=0;i<to.length;i++) myMessage.addRecipient(Message.RecipientType.TO, toAddress[i]);
myMessage.setSentDate(new java.util.Date());
myMessage.setSubject(subject);
Multipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
// add html as the first part of the email.
// add html.

if(sendHTML) {
System.err.println("Email.sendMessage() : Rendering text/html email to " + recievers);
MimeBodyPart htmlpart = new MimeBodyPart();
htmlpart.setContent(StringWizard.stripJavascript(StringWizard.toHTML(msg.toString())), "text/html");
mp.addBodyPart(htmlpart);
// add default stuff (text).
// add text.
System.err.println("Email.sendMessage() : Rendering text email to " + recievers);

Thank You for your reply. my website is www.the-culture.net its a store through shopify.com. How would i go about giving them absolute link to my remote server?
You could copy the images link from the pages code and link it to your html email:
http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0150/7840/products/download_277fab2f-4e46-44b1-a4b4-34fd1 7e5a2dd_large.jpeg?v=140603487…
BUT
I would just upload the images to YOUR server in a folder and link the images in the html email to those.

• Help needed with creating HTML email in Dreamweaver

Hi everyone, would really appreciate some help with a dilemma or two that I have.
I have created the following newsletter in Dreamweaver and uploaded it to our website:
http://www.nova-design.co.uk/sales/000030.html
Now, when I go into my email mass mailing client (Handymailer) and send a test out, I encounter a couple of problems.
Firstly, in Outlook when I receive the email, the grey table on the right of the eshot, is crushed and a lot of the single line text is forced to go over two lines...
Secondly, in Hotmail, the table displays fine, but it does say that "This message is too wide to fit your screen.  Show full message."
Once I click "Show full message" it displays in full, but I then need to scroll across to the middle of the browser to view the email.
If I left align the newsletter will this problem be solved?  Or is there a way in Dreamweaver that I can edit the entire page size so that it's not too wide?
The table is 600px wide so I assumed that any email sent out would shrink to this size.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!  This is the first full HTML email I have sent out so it's going to be far from perfect!

Make the transparent gif 1px high.
Is it the links in the right column that go onto two lines? If so that could be because the links are wider than the actual column itself..so you will have to make column wider.
If you can't sort it, have  a look at the code below, copy and paste into a new Dreamweaver document and test out. Inline css styling is used in the code below. I've masked your email so no spam bots get hold of it.

• How to send html email

I searched the forums and haven't found a good answer yet. I created a page in iWeb that I want to send out as a newsletter email. I think I need to change the source of the images, etc so that the links won't be broken. Does this include all text boxes, images, pretty much everything on my page? What's the easiest way to do this?
Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions.

While viewing the web page you want to send in Safari type Command+i. That will take you to Mail with the web page as HTML. You can place the cursor at the very beginning to add text at the start or at the end. Not all email clients will display HTML emails So include a hyperlink to the page so those people can visit the page for the information.

• How to send html email notification in bpel

hi gurus,
i want to send html email notification from bpel.
before, i already successful send html email with attachment, but when i send an email without attachment, then the body message will turn into a plain text.
as i check from the email accepted, email with attachment will have a mime type "text/html" but if no attachment then it will be "text/plain"
from the bpel configuration, by default the mime type already set to "text/html; charset=UTF-8", below is the sample configuration in my bpel process
<copy>
                                    <from>string('text/html; charset=UTF-8')</from>
                                    <to variable="varNotificationReq"
                                        part="EmailPayload">
                                        <query>ns10:Content/ns10:MimeType</query>
                                    </to>
                                </copy>
i think this suppose to be a easy configuration, but i'm not sure whether i miss something in configuration the email process or this is a bugs in bpel.
environment:
linux
jdev 11.1.1.6
do u guys ever facing a same problem or have a solution to this ? please throw some light.
thanks

update, i found a temporary solutions.
so i add a attachment from the process design, and then i change it from the source.

make sure you put the mime type multipart/alternative into the email payload content. by default, when you add attachment, it will generate mime type multipart mixed automatically.
if you don't change it to multipart/alternative, your email will show a attachment, but actually your email doesn't contain any attachment.
and then for the message and mimetype make sure you have that ns10:bodypart, because this email already been set as a multipart email.
when you add attachment, by default it will generate 2 body part, first one is for the body message and the second one is for the attachment. since i only want to use the body message only, then i have to erase the second bodypart
with this workaround, i can send a html email without attachment perfectly.
but i have to take note, when i updating the email process from process design, then the source will be generated again automatically, and the edited one will be replaced.
thanks.

Make sure you upload all of the images used in your email to a server you control. Then, change your image paths to point to those uploaded images with absolute links.
You will get marked as spam if you attempt to send images as attachments to a large list of recipients and most email clients won't download images to begin with, so make sure your html email makes sense with broken pictures.
CSS support is spotty across email clients, if you use css, make sure it's inline, not embedded in the <head> or externally linked in the <head>. Some email clients strip out the <head> section entirely.
Basically, you need to design your html email as if you haven't moved out of the 90's yet, as far as web design is concerned, in order to get maximum cross client compatibility.
Then, when you're ready, I would suggest using a service like www.icontact.com or www.constantcontact.com if your subscriber list is anywhere over 100 or so recipients.

• Nokia N8 Symbian Belle HTML EMAIL stopped working

About a month ago my Hotmail e-mail stopped working properly, to fix it I deleted the mail box and reset it up however as a result of the delete and reset I now have lost HTML formatted e-mail.
I am on the latest Nokia N8 Belle release for Orange.
The e-mail is setup through Exchange ActiveSync so that I have access to e-mail folders as the hotmail wizard setup version doesn't list my e-mail folders in the mail client.
I have tried a hard reset of my phone, a reload of the operating system and everything else I can think of.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve?
Thanks

I too am having the same issue with only hotmail. Looking at Microsoft forums, Nokia users aren't the only ones. MS have done some sort of 'upgrade' to their exchange servers which is causing the issue.  They are sorting it out but goodness knows how long this is going to take. My emails sometimes come in but then on the next sync they disappear. The gripe that alot of people have is that phone manufacturers apparently hadn't been told of this 'upgrade' and for me, my additional gripe is that I have been a Nokia user since 1996 and over the last 1.5 I am getting increasingly frustrated with Nokia anyway and waiting for them to sort out some ongoing issues I have had since September last year, now this as there is this ' I don’t use active exchange as I don’t want to sync my contacts or calendar this way and prefer to use other ways/apps to sync this info. As there is and apparent ‘partnership' between Nokia & Microsoft, how come none of us users had a clue it was going to happen and what steps we should take for a smooth transition.

• Adding a rounded dropshadow effect behind a HTML email message

Hello.  I am looking to add a rounded corner box with a dropshadow effect behind a HTML email message.  I got it working great in gmail with four corner images and repeating background slice for the sides and top and bottom.  The problem is background images do not work in Hotmail and a few other email clients.  Anyone have any suggestions as how to achieve this?  Thanks.

Ah, "the client wants it". That factor has led to more bad design decisions over the years than I can count.
The client needs to understand that there are literally hundreds of millions of email users with hundreds of millions of different settings for their accounts, and there is now way imaginable in heaven or on earth to FORCE all desired styling and content to appear in every possible viewer's email when they open it. On a local network maybe, but not the entire world. So, ultimately they're asking you to design something that far less than tenth of one percent of possible recipients may (not will, but may) ever see.
It's a bit like asking you to paint an elaborate mural inside a closet and then they lock the door and break the key off in the knob. You did a great job on it but no one will ever see it.
I don't work for Microsoft or Google, or Yahoo or Opera (or any of the hundreds of thousands of proprietary hosted email services out there), so I couldn't venture even a wild a guess as to how to force their servers to display content for a single insistent client somewhere.
I'm sure this has been tried unsuccessfully many many times in the past, but I seriously doubt it's been "done" universally. I've seen a few dozen people here who've tried it and tried it, and eventually gave up because they realized just what I just laid out... was true.
If the client still insists, politely explain to them that they are defeating their purpose in adding all the fancy effects because of the minute number of people who will ever see them. Invisibility is not the purpose of promotion, and if promotion is the purpose of the emails, making them invisible won't help.

• HTML email not working on 8310 with OS 4.5

Have an 8310 with OS 4.5.0.  I thought the new software would allow me to view HTML right in the email but doesn't seem to work.  The option is not even available under EMail Settings.  Any suggestions?

good for you. Keep in mind that you won't get HTML email for emails that were already on your device. And that HTML emails takes more time to download.
Furthermore, can you click on the blackbox on the right of one of my message?
It's a reward for me. Free to you, it's like an Oreo cookie to me. Thanks in advance.
