Hotnews info retrieval problem.
Hi all.
I am trying to test and evaluate the Solution Manager4.0,
and I am in a trouble with the HotNews functionality.
I believe I have done all the necessary configurations, but following error message is shown when I try to check for the new notes: "Could not determine your customer number in the SAP back end system."
If anyone have encountered with same problem, please please tell me what must be done to resolve this situation?
thanks in advance.
Hi uDo.
Thanks for the reply.
However, it still does not work.
By saying RFC connection, I believe I have all RFC settings made correctly. Following three are set in Transaction SM59.
1) SAPOSS
2) SAP-OSS
3) SAP-OSS-LIST-O01
If I need additional connection setup for Hotnews, could you give some more detailed information about it?
Thanks.

Hi,
Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just missing a setting someplace.
Problem: I write a lengthy caption in the "Description" window of the File Info dialog. Later on I want to use that same caption on a different image.
Using CS3 on Windows I can click on the flyout arrow next to the "Description" window and input the entire caption.
Using CS3 on Mac, the flyout will only input sections of the caption. It seems like the Mac version breaks the caption apart based on any punctuation that is in the caption.
Ex. If my caption is "01 July 2008, Los Angeles, California, USA - Paul has issues with Photoshop, causing a problem when captioning files."
Windows puts the entire caption in the field. Mac breaks it down like this:
01 July 2008
Los Angeles
California
USA
Paul has issues with Photoshop
causing a problem when captioning files
I don't recall this being an issue with PS7 or CS1. Am I missing something or is this just the way CS3 works?
Thanks in advance for any help!
-PaulI narrowed down the issue even more. Non-English languages have their strings, tags, and texts stored in a file named strings.txt in a language-specific subdirectory in the Resources directory in the Adobe Bridge CS6 program folder. The strings.txt file includes, among many other things, a language-specific decimal separator character—which in English is a dot but in many non-English languages is a comma.
When I replace the comma as the decimal separator in the German-language strings.txt file by a dot then all of sudden the f-stops are displayed correctly in the thumbnail pane ... well, except that e. g. "f/2,8" now gets displayed as "f/2.8" which in German is wrong but acceptable—and definitely much better than "f/2,0" which is unacceptably wrong when the actual value is 2.8.
The idea to try this dawned on me when I noticed that in some places in the metadata pane, decimal numbers are displayed with a comma (respecting the decimal separator character given in strings.txt); in other places, they're displayed with a decimal point (ignoring strings.txt). Those using a dot are correct; those using a comma are wrong. So there's two bugs in Bridge rather than just one. First bug: In some places, the language-specific decimal separator character is ignored. Second bug: When it is not ignored then the number displayed will be wrong.
So my workaround now is to use a dot as the decimal separator character rather than a comma. -
Past 2 days , my Nokia N71 cell info display gets stuck only showing one area or doesn't show at all, even though moving to another area doesn't change. Please someone give the solution to the problem.
Best RegardsHi Yogeshwar,
The Cell info display now a days displays only some Offers that are dished out by the Operator. Once upon a time it was showing the AREA where you are but thats no more there I think. Not atleast on the Vodafone network in India. And its the same on all handsets, not only Nokia X1-01. Recently I had contacted Vodafone in this regard and was told that the duration for which the info is flashed can not be increased.
As for the signal problem hope that the Antenna is not covered by any other object.. Refer Pg.No. 7 of the User_Guide ...Else you may have to get the phone inspected by Nokia Care... -

I am facing a weird problem in the info packages.
I am trying to pull data from SAP 3.1i system and my info package is set to "Full update". I am interested in one sales document. When I enter that sales document in the data selection screen of the info package and hit the check button, it just vanishes displaying a zero!!!!!. the document does exist in SAP 3.1i. Has anybody seen this weirdness in info packages?
Thanks
Ashwincan you do the same selective extraction in RSA3 in the source system? you may need to check there first.

Track Info Retrieval options...??
Hi, all.
So, when I insert a CD into my iTunes, it retrieves the tracks info.
However, sometimes, it gives me two options. I selected one, but the organization of that one was a mess (Classical Music suffers a GREAT deal when retrieving this kind of info) lots of info missed, wrong, etc.
How can I get to "re-choose" the second option???
Every time I eject and re insert the CD, it loads the info that I selected before. So, is there a way to "clear the cache" or something like that, so I can upload the CD with the proper option ??
Thank you all very much for your help...!
Message was edited by: diafiroMaybe try two things..
First. Get rit of all, info on the album. Write the album name in the search box, ao only the album you want to change is showing. Then select all, and delete the Artist, Album Artist etc. Then try and mark them all again and go to the Advance manu, and press the button "get CD-track names" (i think thats what written on the button!)
If this doesn't work...
Delete the album, and import it again with the right names...
Thats my suggestions, hope it works, have a good day. -
Random record retrieval problem
At this point I'm sort of desperate as this has been going on
for a few weeks now. I missed this part of the forum an dposted the
problem here:
thread
If anyone can help I would very much apprecfiate that!tragik,
ahh... the sql part should have read: ORDER BY
'#CreateUUID()#'
None the less it did not work. I think the reason is that the
CreateUUID part is only run once, when the page is fetch and not
every time a record is retrieved. Hence, the value of the unique
hex number is always the same during the whoole sql statement
execution in the database. Correct me if I'm wrong... -
IDick Sync Error, with no info about problem!
I keep getting the following iDisk Sync Error on my MacBook Air but it doesn't give me any info to resolve -
" Your iDisk did not finish syncing because a problem occurred, please try again later."
My sync setting are set to sync automaticlly with my MobileMe account and the problem has been happening for 5 days without me being able to resolve. When I dismiss the messag eit keeps popping bavk up every 2/3 minutes
I am using OS X v10.7.2. Can anyone advise how to resolve?
Thanks
SeanJust wanted to add:
Even when I just change the name of the voice memo in iTunes I get the unknown error -13019.
Name changes on the iPhone app are not reflected in iTunes (the still have the date/time stamp as a name there). But sync works.
When I change the name in iTunes too to match the name on the iPhone the sync is not working. -
Info panel problem in Adobe Illustrator
Hi all,
when openning the Info panel in adobe Illustrator it gives me question marks instead of numbers as shown in the image..in all cases and with all documents even when I use the measuring tool..
I'm having this problem with Illustrator CS4 and continues wit CS5 also..
the Info panel in photoshop works fine..
I tried to change the system locale for the non-unicode programs but no changes..
tried to search for a solution here and on google..found nothing about it
I would be so thankful for any ideas that can help me solve this problem
Thanks in advanceMr.Mylenium
Tried it on another computer..I was Running it on my Dell notebook and tried it on a desktop which has an ATI graphics card and the VGA configuration says there's no secondary display...Unfortunately I'm having the same problem
By the way I'm using the Middle East version of Illustrator...can this be the cause of this problem??
Is there a file responsible for the Info Panel in Illustrator files??
forgot to mention that I'm using Illustrator CS4 and CS5 Middle East version running on Windows 7 Ultimate
Thanks for your care all, I appreciate it so much -
BEA 10 WSRP digitial cert retrieval problem
Hello,
We are running two BEA portal applications within the same domain and are connecting the two using WSRP (local proxy). Not long ago we ran into a problem where our remote portlet classes were not able to retrieve the user's digital certificate through:
X509Certificate[] certs = (X509Certificate[])
servletReq.getAttribute(
"javax.servlet.request.X509Certificate");
This code works fine in a non-WSRP environment. The response from BEA was that this was specifically stripped from the request object prior to sending it to the producer. This answer came from a BEA trouble ticket and from the following BEA forum thread: http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5700000376
So, as far as getting the cert in the producer portlet class goes, we moved to use BEA's Custom Data Transfer mechanism and all is well.
However..... we are seeing the same problem with servlets. In the case of the remote portlets, there was no "javax.servlet.request.X509Certificate" request attribute to recieve. In the case of the servlets, it does exist but the retrieved X509Certificate[] object has 0 certs. It is not "null", but rather is a good object with just 0 items.
So, we fixed the problem for how a remote portlet class can retrieve the user's digistal certificate, but now how can we retrieve the cert in a remote servlet?
Thanks - peterPeter,
Yes the /<web-app>/resource? URL is the resource proxy servlet.
We understand the issues with WSRP and JSR-168. The good news is WSRP
2.0 and JSR-286 will address some of these issues. See: serveResource
and clientAttributes. In addition, we are working with the committees to
standardize things like Custom Data Transfer.
In your particular case it would be dangerous to set
"javax.servlet.request.X509Certificate" on a request which did not
receive that particular certificate. So, at best you might be able to
write a servlet which worked with all WSRP consumers.
Good Luck,
Nate
Peter Len wrote:
Nate,
Thanks for the reply. Well, I am not sure specifically about if we are using the consumer's resource proxy servlet. The URL that gets generated in our Producer for calling our servlet starts like:
https://ri.ic.mcdonaldbradley.com:443/PortalWAR/resource?_windowLabel=T2400557971208964511199&wsrp-urlType=resource........
so it looks like a resource servlet. I would assume that adding a ResourceHeaderFilter is something that is done by the consumer, not the producer, just like the Custom Transfer backing file resides on the consumer. We don't own the consumer portal, however, and so having them add stuff like this might be problematic. In any case, it would seem that if they did add something like that, the producer's servlet would have to change how it was looking for the cert object (servletReq.getAttribute(
"javax.servlet.request.X509Certificate")).
The problem I am seeing is that our portal-neutral JSR-168 portlets are starting to become BEA-specific JSR-168 portlets because we have to change our code to handle BEA classes (ex SimpleStateHolder) for a BEA solution to a BEA WSRP implementation issue. Not sure, for example, if other portals would still send the user certificate in a WSRP request object, which is something that BEA did not want to do.
In any case, I will have to do more research into how to implement a ResourceHeaderFilter solution.

Executing info package problem
hi guys
Am having the problem
How can i know the my perticuer info package pulling data from which table. and which data source.
Can any one help me with navigationHi,
Under your infopackage, you would find datasource associated with it. If its a standard datasource, the best option for you to find the source table would be to search in help.sap.com.
If it is LO datasource, go to LBWE in your source system and search for your datasource. Click on Maintenance. The pop-up would give fields starting with MCVBAP VBELN. Here VBELN is field, VBAP is table and MC is just prefix.
If your datasource is a generic datasource, go to RSO2 in source system. Check whether it is based on table/ view. This gives your straightforward answer. If its based on function module, get the function module and go to SE37, here you can see the logic and identify the tables used. If its based on infosets. Copy the infoset, go to SQ02 and search for the base table.
hope this was helpful
