Hotspot issue after 10.3.1.1565 update

my hotspot dont work after 10.3.1.1565 update i had wipe & reset my q10 many times but its not fix i do anythings like change simcard but nothings happen when i turn on hotspot please help i need hotspot very much thank you

I have exactly the same problem on my Q5. Hotspot is not working since update to 10.3.1. Password is not being saved and switching on the hotspot function will just result in "connecting", but nothing happening.
It was working flawlessly on all previous software version.
I tried to contact BB support via twitter (seems to be the only support channel they offer, no email, no phone number -- weird), but no reaction to my request. Seems customer service is not a priority.
If anybody has an idea how to fix it, I would really appreciate that. I am travelling a lot and really depend on the hotspot!

EBay (only) cookie issues after 10.5.5 combo update

On my MacBook Pro -- I am getting a message when trying to sign onto eBay that my ''browser is not accepting cookies...''
At first I thought it was a Firefox issue, so then I tried Safari and same message.
Both browsers are configured to accept cookies properly and were working seamlessly just a day ago.
SO -- I also deleted the cache and the cookies on both browsers -- no luck.
SO -- I went to my other Mac, A PowerPC G5 -- no luck -- same message on both Firefox and Safari.
SO -- I ran trusty AppleJack (the new one that finally works with Leopard) -- on both machines (MacBook Pro and Power Mac G5) -- no luck.
SO -- on the same network -- I went to the Windows XP machine (A Dell desktop) and I was able to sign on properly with no hitches.
Therefore, since I seem to have eliminated the network, Windows XP, an Intel and PowerPC Macintosh, and have eliminated a specific browser issue -- I must assume there was some new security feature that the combo update for 10.5.5 has implemented that is causing this because that is the only thing that has changed in the last day. It's only eBay that seems to manifest this strange issue. Not PayPal. No other ''secure'' site.
Anybody else having this issue? Any ideas?
I'm not a ''dumb'' Mac user. I'm the kind who goes into the Genius bar with a problem, talks to them, stumps them and then proceeds to solve the problem by myself right in front of them. Do I have to make a trip into the city just to do this again...?

Thanks. That helps narrow things down further. Now I know it's just me and just my Macintosh machines.
I do have NetBarrier (Intego) installed on both machines, but neither is set up to filter cookies because NB does a lousy job of that. I have never had that feature turned on -- and it's still disabled properly. I do, however, have the NB firewall up and running -- but again -- everything worked perfectly up to ''the day after'' the 10.5.5 update. Perhaps there are more non-OS related updates coming for things like this.

Hotspot issues after upgrade (RH7)

I had a topic full of drop-down hotspots. After upgrade, the
topic appears completely "blank" in the edit-mode. The text is
shown only in the preview-mode! To resolve, I exported the topic

In ERP 6.0 the ESS was restructured and now no more using the ITS but running as Webdynpro application on top of a portal. Some services can still be ran in ITS but no more in the external (you can delete that one) but in the internal one. The external ITS can´t connect any more to the ERP system.

Mobile Hotspot Issue after 10.1 Update

Hello, just wondering if there is a know issue with using mobile Hotspot after update z10 to 10.1. After this update was installed Mobile Hotspot will turn on but past network that I had created is not there anymore, also I cannot configure, when I press configure nothing happens, and then Mobile Hotspot turns itself off.

I would suggest you contact your mobile service provider to ensure you are on the correct data plan to allow you to use the Mobile Hotspot feature. If they confirm you are on the correct plan and have the correct APN settings then please have them escalate your issue to BlackBerry Technical support for investigation.

Volume issues after ios 5.0.1 update

i recently updated from ios 5.0.1 to 5.1 and today i observed that the volume went low while listening to songs and i did a hard reset and now things have started to work fine.but what is the permanent solution for this?any one who is facing this issue?

While wifi connection is never good on ipad according to my experiecne, the situation is worsend after ios 5.0.1. It takes approximatley 2 to 3 minutes for me to connect to the home router, (it took 30 secs at most in the past). When I go out for outdoor wifi, the hotspots of some internet service providers can never be connected, the refreshing circles keeping spinning for 3 to 5 minutes and nothing happen.
The bottom line is, battery life seems to run longer than before, but I don't think it is an acceptable trade-off.

Issues after IOS 8.0.2 Update.

copy and pasting is difficult or impossible. Hyperlinks take 2-3 clicks to load. Tabs refresh too often to make working in tabs reasonably useful at all. Typing has lag between what i type and appearing on the screen.

To troubleshoot this issue where you are unable to load pages, and seem to not have a connection over the cellular network, please follow the steps below.
Follow these steps for help with cellular data issues on your iPhone. After performing each step, test to see if your iPhone still has the issue.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
Restart your iPhone.
Make sure that your software is up to date:
Check for a Carrier Settings Update: Tap Settings > General > About.
Check for an iOS Software Update: Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.
If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try turning it off: Tap Settings > Phone > SIM PIN.
Try another location. If a different location works, but the original location still doesn't, contact your carrier to report the issue.
Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Resetting network settings on your device will erase all current saved settings, including Wi-Fi passwords, preferred networks, and VPN settings.
Restore the iPhone as new.

Bluetooth car kit connectivity issue after IOS 8.1.2 update

After the IOS 8.1.2 update I cannot connect my IPhone with the Bluetooth car kit (hands free) system of my car.
Before the update connectivity was perfect, after the IOS 8.1.2 update the car kit does not find the IPhone any longer.
To solve this issue I deleted both the car kit and the IPhone from the paired devices list of both (my car and the Iphone) and tried to pair them again - no success. The car kit just does not finds the Iphone any longer.
Please, help!!!

Just to share the way I finally solved the problem - might be helpful to somebody else.
I didn't noticed before that the IOS 8.1.2 update changed automatically the name of my Iphone from the one I've given to it before to just "Phone".
I re-named the Iphone (just gave a new name to it by going to Settings -> General -> About -> Name) and then the car kit managed to find the phone very quickly via Bluetooth.

Thunderbolt Notification/ringtone issue after 2.11.605.9 Update

I know that this latest update was supposed to fix the bug where the wrong ringtones were being played when a custom ringtone had been set; however, now I am seeing a different issue with ringtones/notification sounds. After receiving the update on 12/21, I have noticed that my ringtones and notifications sounds no longer stay set. I noticed it when my email notification sound started playing some mp3 that I had on my phone and as I was looking further, all of my contacts that I had given custom ring tones were now set to some other ringtone. I reset all of custom ringtones on my contacts and notifications sounds that I had noticed had changed. This morning....many of them were set to something else again. Including the gmail app notification sound (again). Is anyone else experiencing this issue.

Same issue as many have described above.
After update to 2.11.605.9 my custom ringtones and notifications change every time the device is power cycled. The vast majority of the time my txt notification sound is changed to "Facebook Pop" (which I don't actually remember being an option prior to the update to Gingerbread). That sound is nearly inaudible, not to mention it's not the custom notification sound I've selected, and contiune to select.
About 25% of the time after reboot the device selects an mp3 file saved on my phone, one that isn't even listed within my notification ringtone selections list. It's pretty bizarre, not to mention more than a little frustrating.
It makes no difference if the phone it just restarted, or shtudown completely and then started up once more - notification & ringtone selctions are not saved.

Font issues after OS 10.4.9 update

Hi, I just updated my macbook pro yesterday and am having font issues now. I noticed the date in iCal is messed up, also certain webpages and email are garbled up.
for example most of the text on this page http://cardboardrocket.com/pages/paginating_find is messed up in safari it looks all garbled. While in firefox and camino that same page looks fine.
On a side note, my startup after updating took forever. After it finally finished upon opening font book I see all of my fonts have been activated. They weren't before I did the update.
Any thoughts?

No one else is going see anything wrong with this page unless they have the same problem you do. You need to provide screenshots.
But the normal cause of garbled text is the presence of the fonts Helvetica Fractions and Times Phonetic. Dump them if you have them. Also clean your font caches with FontFinagler (use google to find it).

Issue after 10.7.5 combo update from 10.7.4

10.7.5 Combo updater has messed up up all 3 iMac 3.4GHZ i7 SSD 16GB Ram I upgraded from 10.7.4.
-The worse nightmare of all:
Spotlight has become DEAD slow to index main boot SSD with only 45gb used 203 free, it shows 3 days with 10.7.4 it was doing it in less than 10 minutes.
I killed and relaunched spotlight, cleared old index, set only Boot drive marking all other drive including Timemachine with PRIVACY and tried most of the trick, same issue on the 3 computers I can't fix it. (Reset PRAM,Repair Perm run Diskwarrior, Reapplied 1075 combo)
Therefore Timemachine is also now veryslow when Spotlight is trying to index the main drive (even after excluding all drive and timemachine via Privacy)
- In the dock all shortcuts for folders and file from my NAS are becoming faceless with a question mark after each restart. Clicking on them re-activate the icon until the next restart. (DiskStation DS212+ Synology connected via AFP), Synology might have to update their software, I guess.
- Fast User Switching is activated by default top right of menu bar, it can be cleared via User& Group, clicking on Login Option and deslecting Show fast user switching menu.
Any one having problem with spotlight ? Solution welcome.

Same here, in my case:
1. My iTunes works slower than before, it took a while to completely sync my iPhone4s. And try to update the apps, no response after clicking the "download all free updates" as if nothing happens
2. Safari, Try to open a web site, let say www.apple.com.........it didnt load the full site entirely on the first attempt, i always hit the refresh icon to make the job done
3. Last but not least, this completed my nightmare, i've upgrade all of my idevices into iOS6(iTouch 4G & iPhone4s), Siri seems having some problems in answering my questions.....or maybe because of my provider connection, and it freeze when i try to update some of my apps direcly from the phone, luckily iOS6 didnt compatible with my 1st Gen iPad, so i can write this issue into this forum.

Wifi issues after Android 4.4.2 update (specifically WEP issue with 2.4GHz router)

I have an old Westell 2.4Ghz Wifi router which is using 128-bit WEP security (13 character password).
When I bought my HTC One it came with Android 4.2.2 and could not connect to my home Wifi. After rebooting, changing passwords, using 2.4GHz network freq on the phone, and trying the mystical power-down, volume-down, special-screen trick ... nothing worked. However, Verizon was kind enough to extend my data plan for free so I could download the massive 4.3 update over 4G network. Android 4.3 fixed my WEP / Wifi issue.
Early this morning (Feb 18, 2014), Android 4.4.2 was downloaded and installed on my HTC One. Guess what? No wifi connection after restarting the phone, rebooting the wifi, etc. Isn't that nice?
Android developers, I plead for your mercy. Please stop making x.x.2 releases!
And also, please fix the WEP issue in 4.4.3.

I have several devices connected to my home WiFi that work just fine (printer, laptops, flat-screen tv, etc). It is just these Android 4.4.2 devices that fail (yes, I have two HTC One phones, both with the same problem).
Reading the posts on forums.androidcentral.com , it looks like lots of folks are having the same issue.

Gaming issues after iOS 7.0.6 update on iPhone 4S

Recently I updated my iPhone 4S to ios7.0.6 from ios5 and there are few very annoying problems.
Firstly the games that ran smooth on ios5 are lagging in gameplay. Also the games crash and close does very frequently.
For eg I play dead trigger 2 and it crashes very frequently in my phone.
And one more thing that I don't understand is that sound while playing games goes mute and back to full randomly. Some times while playing it goes totally mute sometimes it slows down and after a minute or so back to normal.
This is very irritating please help.
I have even tried turning off the parallax effect, background app refresh so as to reduce on the processing power but It didn't helped a bit.

The game worked fine for a day or so But now again I'm experiencing same problem....and the problem with gAme music remains the same.....I guess there's something to do with ram or cache resetting! Regretting ios7 update...
I used to play deer hunter 2 on ios5 and it couldn't have worked any better and now on ios7 it lags and game musics it ******* goes off...or volume level decreases without any reason... It's ******* frustrating.

Video Issues After OSX 10.5.6 Update

I've installed the update via Software Update and now 1080p HD video on apple trailers using the 9600 on my new MBP (2008) is choppy and quicktime video on the apple site is flickering from time to time whereas the image is replaced by a white flicker from time to time.
Any Suggestions ?

I am also having the same exact problem with 1080i/60 DVCProHD material and my ATI 9600 card. I can get my external video to work only when showing 1/4 quarter frames. I can get the timeline video to run smoothly if I turn off external video--but of course that's not acceptable.
ATI says since everything worked in Tiger it's a driver issue and that's Apple's problem. Did you find a solution?
