Hotspot Links Don't Work After Export

I hope somebody here can help me. I have inserted a hotspot link into an image and when I export it and then open the exported file, the link doesn't work and there isn't even a clickable area. I have tried saving as a gif, animated gif, jpg, I used the export wizard and nothing works. The weird thing is that I did the very same thing a month ago and it worked just fine.

As you can see, he inserts several hotspot links and then exports the image as a gif and is able to then open the gif and click on the hotspot links. I followed every step he did exactly and the hotspot does not seem to be carried over in my export for some reason.
Anybody able to help? Please? Pretty please?

Wow, "pretty please"? You're pulling out the big guns.
The trick that you're missing is that links are a component of HTML, not image files. Instead of exporting your Fireworks PNG as a stand-alone image file, such as GIF or JPEG, you need to export it as "HTML and Images". You can choose this option in the dialog that appears after choosing File > Export. (Currently, this dialog may be set to export "Images Only".)
If you look really closely in the demonstration video—around 3:18—you'll see the "HTML and Images" option has been chosen.

Hi! I'm new to using IWeb and I have recently encountered a problem:
When I publish the content to a folder, the pages that I initially designed, don't appear exactly the same in the new folder. The links in the navigation menu don't work in the new folder (except the ones in the "home page") and some of the text is not displayed the way I designed it...
I'd appreciate if you could take a look at my website and try the navigation bar out to see that some of the navigation bar's links don't work. Why they work in the main page and 2 other and not in all of them?

This has just been so frustrating. This was my first shot at doing a web page....not to mention being new to the Apple arena. (I've had PCs, literally, for years). I appreciate your patience with someone learning the ins/outs of YOUR world.

Keynote hyperlinks don't work after exporting to html

I'm working with Keynote in iWorks '08 on an iMac running OS 10.5.2. My hyperlinks (graphic and text) work perfectly running Keynote as a slide presentation, but not when I export it to an html format. What am I doing wrong here?

PS: The hyperlinks do work after exporting in flash or pdf format, but our webmaster says I can't use those formats due to compliance issues.

I noticed this as well. What I realized is that Keynote seems to just export the slide as a .jpg with a an .html file referencing the .jpg image. So in essence it is not creating an .html file of the slides contents but rather a reference to a picture of the slide. I haven't tried but maybe "send to" iweb and then "publishing to folder" will give you what you need. Not sure.

Video links don't work after help is compiled

I have RoboHelp 6 files that contain links to Camtasia V1
html page that launches a swf file. It works while in the help, but
once I click the Single Source Layout button to compile, the links
no longer work. Some are just dead, others show a gray box.

Some links don't work in Safari

I ran a whole bunch of software updates a while ago (funny, after the entire process, nothing actually updated... I had to run it again later), and somehow, in the process, something went wrong with Safari. Now, some links don't work. It's mostly links in the content portions of webpages. For example, things like the Store/Mac/etc buttons at the top of the Apple site work fine, but things like links in forum signatures don't. I have to open them in a new tab. I tried updating Safari, but it didn't fix anything. I've tested Firefox and Camino and they work fine, but Safari is my browser of choice, so this is pretty irritating. Any ideas as to what's causing this and how to fix it?

You might try installing a fresh version of SafariStand and see if you still have the problem with dead links. I'm not familiar with the 'Quick Search' feature but you could have a look at Glims. Don't try to run both Glims and SafariStand together.

Is the version of Windows 7 Ultimate you have installed 32bit or 64bit?
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers - do you see an existing entry for the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC listed here?
There is an alternative IDT Audio driver you may wish to try on the following link.

My links don't work when I combine another file with the pdf

My internal bookmarked links don't work when I combine another file with the pdf.
The external links continue to work fine, though.
This doesn't make any sense to me at all ... but I'm hoping one of you kind folk can help?

I opened my file and instead of merging files I used insert pages and inserted all of the pages from the file I wanted. Then I saved the file with
the same name. Attached is a rough draft of some helpful hints I put together. This has been a very painful process for us to discover how to handle
this and there really is not much help from Adobe.
Instead of merging files you inset pages. In Acrobat select Document - Insert pages -From file. You can select all pages or some and where you want them inserted. After you do that save the file not save as and all of your links should work. If you combine files or merge files all of the links will break.

I think it's something to do with naming, but I can't figure out what. This is because it asks to be saved and gives me a Binder no as the name. If I
press Cancel at that point, I keep the file and the links. But as soon as I need to close it, it asks me again 'Do you want to save this file' and if
I say 'Yes', I lose all the links, and if yet if I say 'No', I lose the whole file. So at some point it has to be saved but whether I keep the Binder
no name when I save it, or use the original name, it makes no difference ... it is in the saving of it that it looks the functionality, and yet, if I
don't save it, I lose the file.
This makes no sense to me....I hope it does to one of you.
For instance, Christine, how did you keep your file if you couldn't save it?
Or have I misunderstood?

because selecting groups and subgroups with double click make some confusion for me.

You can double click on the selected object to get into the multilevel isolation mode.

Do I understand correctly that you've used Send to send a file that you've uploaded to Acrobat.com? What happens when you send to your own email address? Are you able to click the link in that email, and access the file that way?
If you're unable to copy the email in the browser window after you've generated a public link, please clear the browser cache, and try again. Or, use a different web browser (for a list of supported browsers, see System requirements | Acrobat.com).

When I create a multi-page file, links don't work. Whether I use "preview all pages in browser" or export "html and images", the cursor changes to a hand over the links, but the links don't react to the mouse click. Also, when I export a multi-page file, I get as a result a listing of .gif files instead of .html files.

Make sure you select the Images & HTML export option

Certain links don't work with FF4

There are certain links that don't work after upgrading to FF4 but they still work just fine in IE8. I've only noticed them on one site so far. It seems all the other links on the following site work except the ones at the bottom of the articles. Both the numbers for the other pages and the one that says Next. It seems to be any article with more than one page and not just the one that I linked for reference. I tried running FF in safemode but it didn't make a difference.

Really. After a couple of days nobody has anything to say about this bug? Guess I'll just go back to IE where everything worked fine.

I'm having the same issue with non-working iWeb Page links. This was the first site I built on my iWeb, and posted on my .mac account. Everything works on iweb, but once I "publish all to .mac", the links become inactive. I've reset and tried everything but can't figure out what the problem is. Check it out.

Buit in ethernet don't work after installing Lion

Built in ethernet don't work after installing OSX 10.7 on my MacBookPro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 15.
Someone else has the same problem?
On my MacPro 2 x 2.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon it's not working good, i have to do a restart to get internet connection.
Is there somebody who has te same problem and has a solution?

Something does look odd to me unless it's a typo in your post.
This look like what I'd expect from the NetGear Router - not form the modem. That is when You browse the router stats (http:/192.168.1.1)
I work with a modem with te folowing preverences:
Wan IP address    87.211.205.210
Lan IP address     192.168.1.1
Primery DNS server       62.58.50.5
Secondary DNS server   62.58.50.6
and a separate router Netgear WGT624v3
This is not exactly what I would expect from System Preferences/Network
the system preferences for the network are
Configure       by DHCP
IP address     192.168.1.15
Subnetmask 255.255.255.0
Router           192.168.5.1 <<<<<<<<<<< this should be 192.168.1.1??????
DNS              208.67.222.222
                     208.67.220.220
The Router address in System Preferences/Network should be the same as the LAN IP Address. In this case it's on a different network.
If this is not a type then this is a problem!
Not sure how it got to be that way.
Does it persist when resetting the modemand router?/
