Hotsync automatically starts on my Palm when not docked!

I have a 700P treo on verizon. Some months ago, I installed a beta version of Palm Backup from the my Palm store. It didn't work well, so I deleted it from the programs on the Palm.
Now, my palm automatically starts Hotsync without me doing anything! How can I stop this from happening?

For printer driver settings----------------
under Form to Tray assignment it says
---printer auto select: need to choose from- not available, envelope #10, index card 5x8, letter, Index card letter, etc.
---Tray 1: (I chose index card 5x8)

Installed Options
---Automatic Duplexing:Installed
---Tray2:Installed

Try the following to eliminate a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If still a problem that indicates a hardware problem with the iPod. An appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

CD player does not automatically start

When inserting a CD in the CD drive the player does not automatically start.
I have to initiate Windows Media Player or iTunes before the CD plays. Any ideas please??

Very many thanks for your help. I have had to use the gpedit.msc file to enable the Autoplay feature on my CD drive.
I had already enabled the Autoplay feature in the control panel, however this did not work, hence my enquiry.
I note the comments about the vunerabilities caused by the Autoplay feature!.

P55T-A5116 when it automatically goes to sleep it will not wake up without a hard reboot

When I allow my computer to go to sleep and it stays in sleep mode for about 15 min, it will not wake up unless you do a hard reboot. The power button stays solid illumination of white and the screen is black, even when I make the settings for any keyboard stroke to wake it up. I updated the driver for the display, but that did not work. I've looked at all the postings in the forum, but doesn't seem to have a solution.
The odd thing is that if I manually put the computer to sleep, the power indicator blinks like it should in sleep mode and wake back up. The issue is when I just leave it unattended and let it go to sleep. The only thing I haven't done is do a complete factory reset, which I really don't want to do. Can someone help me with this?

Hello guys. Same story! My computer sleeps off when am typing. Sometimes it becomes too much and i can hardly type any word. Thanks for the answer. I'm trying to deploy the profile that I've created on all my laptops. But i'm facing an issue for a while.
When the profile is deployed on a laptop, Access Connections finds a new ethernet port and asks to assign it a profile. But the problem is that Access Connection don't allow me to assign it to my wired profile, only to my wireless profile and that doesn't make sens to me. Besides, it is written in the dialogue box that ethernet profiles are disable for the match of the new port...
Is there any way to assign the new port to the new profile without human interaction or just how to make the wired profile available when access connection is launched and find a new ethernet connection

Battery pulling did the trick for me too. For those who, like me, had no idea what this is, it simply means taking the battery out of the device when it is turned on, waiting 30 seconds, then putting it back in. Apparently and inexplicably, this has the power to cure many of these problems which seem to have no solution.

somehow Access Connections 5.41 on Windows 7 is unwilling to start OpenVPN. Is that because it needs administrative rights to run? Is there a way to fix that?

Automatically starting conference calls while I'm on a call

Every time I am on a call, all of a sudden I hear ringing, and my phone is dialing up a third party. I never know who it is, it is random from my contact list. Anyone have this issue?

I'm baffled on this one. Have you tried a battery pull? I'm thinking you'll have to report this to verizon or better yet, head to the store and show them. That is strange. I'm thinking speed dial issue, but not sure...

Palm TX but want to HotSync with the Palm Calendar NOT Outlook!

I have a Palm TX with Palm OS Garnet v.5.4.9 I like using the calendar and tasks etc that come with the Palm operating system but from what I can tell I can only sync with Outlook! Outlook will not print all my appointments off for the week, I have too many and it will cut them off on a print out.
There has got to be a way I can use the calendar I love so much from Palm. I've been using an old Palm IIIe and IIIx and upgraded to the TX. This is a deal breaker, I hate Outlook its not functionable for me with what I do. Does anyone have any ideas here? When I hotsync nothing shows up on the Palm Calendar or Tasks etc. I have the Palm Desktop by Access application 6.2.2. I've gone into the HotSync Manager setting but my only options are listed as Calendar (Outlook), Contacts (Outlook) etc and I can change whether the handheld or desktop override the duplicates. THATS IT! Should I uninstall and reinstall an older version? Will the Palm TX work with that? Its 4:24am my time and I'm driving myself crazy trying to figure out the fix for this. Got to sleep but will be checking for any answers!

Hello livingny, Welcome to the Palm Support Community.
Try throwing the "switch" to sync with Palm Desktop. Somehow, it appears to be set to sync with Outlook now.
On your PC go to: Start Button/All Programs/Palm/PIM Conduit Sync/Sync with Palm Desktop.
That should redirect the info back into Palm Desktop's Calendar app. at your next HotSync.

What is the specific message displayed as it fails, and what does your HotSync log say about the failed event? Also, who is your wireless carrier and did they provide this particular device to you?

I don't want to download an app. I would rather add a new string in about config or just change of the ones in there to false. It's making my work life rather difficult, to be forced to go all the way back to the end of my list after moving one tab just to have to do it again. I mean it's to the point where I might consider changing browsers if they had tab scroll bars.
Edit: At this point I will download any app. Please make this stupid feature stop.

The result of setting up that code will do exactly as you described: the tabs will be crowded together. I had not noticed any change in behaviour of Firefox with tabs because all the tabs are crowded together, so they cannot scroll, and I very seldom move tabs.
