Hotsync is preventing me from synching in Outlook Overwrites mode because of "other links" ....?!

I'm getting this error ... What does it mean, and what do I ned to change and how mates ...?
The handheld folder, Contacts, has the synchronization option "Outlook Overwrites Handheld". A handheld folder with this type of synchronization option can not have other links with the synchronization option "Synchronize" because conflicts will occur. When you go to synchronize at the other PCs, you must go into the settings and correct the problem by either changing the synchronization option to "Handheld Overwrites Outlook" or "Do Nothing" or deleting the links.

Downloads don't prevent ML from going into energy savings mode

Since installing ML (clean install) most of the downloads (no matter what program) I do cannot be left unattended because as soon as I leave the computer alone, ML eventually goes into energy savings mode, causing my downloads to cease.
Any idea how to prevent that (other than switching the energy saving off)?

None of the available setting suit my needs. I could turn the settings to "off" anytime I want to download something, but I never had to do this before on my Macs.

Help, file error preventing me from opening project. Overwrite save as new?

Hi there, I've been working on a big project - saving locally and backing up at night, but now my daily file is corrupted and won't open... I'm getting the following
Do you want to overwrite the file or save as a new file?
When I select "Overwrite" or a File Save As, I get the following message in response:
Adobe Captivate could not open the file because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
I'm using captivate 3. I wasn't doing anything other than trying to save the file at an interval through out the day as I always do.
I have plenty of hard drive space - so that is not the issue. I did move the project it off and delete it from the original source and try to reopen...any other suggestions or explanations for why this is happening?

Another question: I'm working in Photoshop Elements importing into FCE. I was told by Apple to work in 720 x 540. I created cute frames and borders around my pics. On the computer looks great, disc image looked great but when I burned to dvd, I lost most of my frames, borders. Is there any way to resize so that the borders, etc. can be seen without having to redo from scratch? Need to get this to a friend by tomorrow so I'm in a crunch for time.

How to prevent apps from going weird in Fullscreen mode?

Hi,
since I'm using Mavericks from time to time some apps have problems when running in fullscreen mode (recently Finder had also the same problem without fullscreen). I'm getting an application window like shown in the screenshot below. The only way I've found to fix this is to restart the application - with Finder I even had to do a killall Finder on the Terminal.
Has anyone experienced similar problems and maybe a solution for it?

Here's another set of screenshots: I had Mail.app in fullscreen mode and switched to the login window - after re-login the app looked like in the screenshot of my first post. I disabled fullscreen mode (the blue icon in the menu bar on the upper right) and it looked like this:
I can drag the window down (like in the screenshot below) but when I release the mouse button it snaps on the top of the desktop (like screenshot above). I cannot rezise etc. the window.
Really weird isn't it?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to restrict customers to post on your forums links to other sites.
However what I suggest here is to choose to moderate each forum post and this way you can choose to approve or remove links from the posts sent by customers.

Given that you have not posted your code it is very difficult to know why you are getting these errors.
Howver, I can take a guess. If I were trying to implement this functionality I would build a database event trigger that fired whenever a DROP command was issued and cause that command to fail. If this is the approach you've taken I think you are out of luck, as I belive DDL triggers were introduced in Oracle 8.
Mind you, it's been a long time since I worked on Oracle7, so I might be wrong. In which case post your code, don't make me guess again.

DBAs can use PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE (in system schema) to disable certain SQL and SQL*Plus commands in the SQL*Plus environment on a per-user basis. SQL*Plus, not Oracle, enforces this security. DBAs can even restrict access to the GRANT, REVOKE, and SET ROLE commands in order to control users' ability to change their database privileges.
The PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE table enables you to list roles which you do not want users to activate with an application. You can also explicitly disable use of various commands, such as SET ROLE. For example, you could create an entry in the PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE table to:

Prevent TextArea From Expanding Horizontally

I have a form item with the Display As property set to Textarea. This item is setting in a sized region with a CSS style for overflow set to auto. When the Textarea is expanded vertically beyond the current size of the region, it (correctly) adds a vertical scrollbar to the region. However, if the Textarea is expanded horizontally, no horizontal scrollbar is added.
I fought with this for awhile but, realized that, aesthetically, I'd prefer that the Textarea simply not expand in the horizontal direction (as opposed to getting the horizontal scrollbar to work for the containing region).
I am able to locate the Textarea item with javascript by searching for the id which is P3_NOTES.

It was a Netscape only tag and, hence, it really is a bug that it is being generated by APEX. I think I will try to file that though support.
Another very odd thing about TextArea resize functionality is that if, within the Page Item Attributes page, you can set the Resizable property to No. However, doing so only removes the little handle (apex_size_grip) but, it is still completely resizeable. It just moves the little "corner slashes" graphic into the control itself rather than in an additional handle. I can still use it to merrily stretch the control to my heart's content.
I can set any css property using a little javascript but, specifically, what css could I set that would prevent it from being able to expand horizontally?

Print the job from the spool in abtch mode

I want to be able to print a job from the spool in batch mode. In other words a job currently exists that creates a report that currently goes to a printer.
The user wants the report to print on two different printers. This extra printer cannot be placed in the job, since SAP only allows one printer per output. What I would like is to find a SAP program that would accept a spool name and a printer destination. It necessary we can write a program that might execute a SAP function to do the same.
SP01, the spool transaction, does not easily adapt itself to batch execution. I donu2019t want to create a bdc session using it.

IPhone 4S Calendar will not synch to OutLook 2010 from 1 of 2 phones

Problem: iPhone 4S Calendar will not synch to OutLook 2010 from 1 of 2 phones. Contacts synch fine. Was no problem in the past until...
Sorry for the length. Trying to give all info I can.
Summary: Had to get motherboard fixed under factory warranty which included new hard drive, and reinstall everything on an HP DV7 laptop. So this is a clean installation of everything on the laptop (Win7). Configuring iTunes and Outlook 2010 for two iPhone 4S users (myself and wife) was my last step. Re-established each user account to iTunes. Calendar synch problem popped up on one of two iPhones that did not exist before.
Prior history: all synchs worked great prior to the clean install and I never had a problem.
Config: Windows 7, two iPhone 4S, Week Calendar apps on both. All software up-to-date on iPhones and Win7 (fanatic about that). Had OL2010 PST datafile backups and simply used them for the OL re-installs. OL2010 makes that easy. Each user has their own Win7 login to keep our stuff separate. Of course, OL has Calendar as part of its install.
Week Calendar apps on both are configured with same calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). Verified each iPhone Calendars app, Calendar button: From My PC listing has all these checked: All From My PC, Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work; Other: Birthdays.
Difference: In using iTunes to synch, iTunes said the iPhone account was different from the OL account and asked to merge or replace. Apparently this is normal for iTunes on a new install (since basically it is) synching to prior synched stuff.
iTunes settings for both: Connect iPhone for each user and checked INFO settings for Contacts and Calendars.I used “selected calendars” and verified. Each user has all four calendars checked.
NOTE: Prior to each users first synch below, neither user had anything in OL2010 Calendar. Can't blame on recurring events problems in OL. ALL the events are on the iPhones and are being synched TO the PC to populate OL2010 Calendars.
Additional Note: Contacts was already loaded into OL from my backups so synching has no problem.
User 1 iPhone: Success 1st try.
In iTunes, selected “merge info” instead of replace.
Results: User 1 synched fine from iTunes to OL2010 including the 4 Calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). 4 calendars showed up. No problems at all. Wonderful! expected behavoir.
User 2 iPhone: Still failing to synch.
In iTunes, selected “replace” instead of merge info. Apple’s dialog is incredibly confusing and non-explicit on what copies to what and what it does.
Results: User 2 synched fine from iTunes to OL2010 for Contacts. DID NOT synch the 4 Calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). Only calendar that shows up in OL is Calendar and it doesn’t contain any data. iTunes has no errors and the synch status bar indicates everything went fine.
Tried: I deleted the PST files and copied the backup files back to OL to start over. ITUNES no longer gives me the merge info versus replace option. I’ve synched multiple times but the calendar data will not synch.
Not Tried: Creating the same remaining named calendars (Home, My Birthdays, Work) in OL and trying again.
ALL suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Ok, new info. This gets better and better.
In OL2010, the Calendar in the navigation pane had no arrow indicating it had subcalendars within it. I right clicked on Calendar and chose New Calendar. It gave me a list of the existing calendars that were missing !!
When I cancelled, there was an expand arrow next to Calendar in the Navigation pane !!!!!
Expanding it showed the unchecked missing calendars. I checked them and synched again.
WRONG THING TO DO! ALL my wife's calendar entries in her iPhone since the laptop went down 3 weeks ago DISAPPEARED. No warnings, nothing at any step of this process. The OL files overwrote the iPhone data.
I can't find any way to get them back as this **** iStuff relies on iTunes for everything.
Is there any way to get her files back from before this synch?
Is there no way to save data files off the iPhone w/o iTunes?
Why doesn't iTunes let you control the direction of data transfer?
I now have one very ****** off wife.

"Lync 2013" error we're sorry, but outlook has run into an error that is preventing it from working

So I've an legal Office 2013 version running on my Surface Pro 2, which works fine.
I installed lync client 2013 (not from the appstore, but the desktop version) and on first sight, seems to work as well.
Now comes the issue - when I want to join a meeting, the following error comes up:
"we're sorry, but lync has run into an error that is preventing it from working''
I already re-installed Office and Lync several times - but the error keeps coming and it getting really frustrated because I cannot join any meeting.

Please check if the Lync conference add-in is active in Outlook.
You can check with the following steps:
Click File button on Outlook, Options--Add-Ins. Make sure the Lync Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013 in the list of "Active Application Add-ins". If it is in Inactive Application Add-ins or Disabled Application Add-ins, active it and then restart
Lync client and Outlook to test the issue.
If the issue persists, please also delete Lync user profile and Outlook profile to test the issue.

ICould prevents reply e-mails from sending in Outlook 2013

iCloud add-in prevents reply e-mails from sending in Outlook 2013. The Reply messages stay in Outbox. The Italic title returns to normal instantly. Any ideas to correct problem?

Based on your description, users can move messages that don’t contain attachments to any other folders without any problem( not only subfolder of the Inbox ), and there is problem to move messages that contains attachment to whatever folders, right?
Please check this issue in OWA.
Please use the 'Move' operation from the context menu of the item to check this issue in Outlook.
Please switch to a PC not joined your domain to check this issue.

Preventing Itunes from automatally synching

I want to prevent itunes from automatically syching when I plug in my iPod. I have music on my Ipod that is not in my library and I understand that synching will cause music to be erased from the iPod.
I went into EDIT, SETTINGS, DEVICES, and then checked the box "Prevent Automatic Synchronizing of ipods, iPhones, and iPads" and then clicked on "OK".
THIS DID NOT WORK. When I plugged in my iPod, the device immediately said on the screen "synchronizing".
What am I to do?

After plugging in your ipod to your computer, click on it under devices. A summary screen comes up. Towards the bottom under options you can click on Manually sync. Uncheck the sync only.... box. Now it will not auto sync.

Somehow my calender was erased. How do I restore it? I have time machine. Fortunately it was synched with Outlook, so I still have it there. But Ical does not recognize the Outlook file. Is there a way to restore from Outlook? resi

Somehow my calendar in iCal was deleted. It was not archived. I have Time Machine. How do I restore? Fortunately it was synched to Outlook, so it is not lost. I would like to out it back in iCal but iCal does not recognize the Outlook file.

Thank you. It's all back to normal (took around 7 hours on the late 2009 iMac). Time Machine's become better now compared to the last time I used it to migrate everything automatically (Snow Leopard days). With Maverick's Time Machine, it's almost like a cloning (except for the password) tool now. But it's always great to name the account and maybe the hardisk the same names so can just replace a newly installed OS.

Adding Duplicates or Altering Contacts from MobileMe to Outlook on My PC

Outlook is used as my primary contact manager with MobileMe. Shortly after I purchased my IPad, the following message came up from MobileMe:
"Synching with "MobileMe" will change more than 25% of your contacts (Add 1182/Delete 0/Modify 1175"
This was trying to duplicate and/or modify contacts in Outlook from MobileMe which was a no no! I went to the Apple Store, a support person kindly reset and checked everything and it was working fine. We reset the notification status in MobileMe to any changes and it came up again to say:
""Synching with "MobileMe" will change more than 0% of your contacts (Add 13/Delete 0/Modify 1"
Again, a no no, just in lesser numbers since the notification threshold was set to any changes. I then turned off my sync with contacts button on my IPad
I am now receiving a new message that says,
"Register this computer in the Advanced option under the synch tab in the MobileMe Preferences on this computer.
How can I prevent MobileMe from trying to alter my contacts in Outlook? I also need help getting it all reset on my Ipad.

In Outlook export the contacts as vCard files and then it just a matter of opening Address book and either importing them or you can drag them into the app.
It's a pretty simple process.
