Using Windows 7 (32-bit) and to get rid of an hourglass every 18-seconds
unchecked hpwuSchd Application and HP Digital Imaging (which appears twice)
by clicking Start, type MSCONFIG and checking these items in startup, reboot.
The printer still works, but wonder what is the correct way to get rid of hourglass?

My flash player continues to buffer every few seconds after it starts

My flash player continues to buffer every few seconds after it starts, it plays then buffers, plays then buffers. It worked just fine up until a few months ago. I’m not sure what changed. I am running windows vista. I checked the add-ons and the flash player is enabled. I tried turning off the popup blocker. I just downloaded the latest version and no change.

This is the run without permision list. I wish I knew how to get rid of some of this stuff . Just talked to a friend of mine that has the same problem. I also just ran a speed test on youtube and it shows that streaming HTTP is running at an average of less than 100 kbps.

Alert beep every 2 seconds after latest update

Just installed the latest update and after restart there is an alert beep every 2 seconds! Anyone else experiencing this?

Check the RAM in about your Mac, the beep sometimes indicares trouble. Look at the console report and see of RAM is being allocated correctly. POst back with results.

6300 Blinking Screen every 6 seconds after LCD rep...

The screen was broke on my Nokia 6300, I've replaced teh screen, it comes on fine, then it goes completely black, it keeps going black around every 6 seconds, the phone doesnt restart and functions normally but the screen keeps blinking, does anybody know how i can solve this problem? do you think it could be the new screen? or a software problem, i was advies to format but have to go repair centre for tahta nd it may not solve teh problem, please let me know

We can't discuss disassembly and reassembly of phones here, any issue of faulty or broken hardware must be referred to a Nokia service point because only they are authorised to make such repairs.

Crashdump every 30 seconds after update

I did the latest software update last night and now my computer pauses and switches to the finder about every thirty seconds and all the icons on the desktop disappear and come back quickly. I checked the activity monitor and "crashdump" pops up when this happens and then disappears quickly too. Anyone know what this might be?

This morning i installed the update 10.10.2. for OS X Yosemite, after this update my mail dent work anymore..... every 20-30 seconds it hangs and i should force it to close the program........ Would like to know how to uninstall this ****** update. I can't send a simple e-mail to my customers.

Try downloading and installing the OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 Combo Update. If that doesn't help then:
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

my ipod touch (3gen.32gb) had water damage 3 days ago. now as it dried, i connected it to itunes and restored, but it keeps showing black screen with white circle every 3-5 seconds. could this be a software problem or is it all because of water? i put it in recovery mode, and restored again, but it did not help, is there anything i could do to stop it ? thanks

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

My iBook keeps restarting every few hours after installing ZD WLan Utility

i recently instaled the ZD WLan wireless utility because i got a Belkin f5d7050 usb wireless adapter, now every few hours mac needs to reboot. after it reboots though it gives me the message that it had to shut down unexpectedly (because it told me to hold the power button) i thought i could find out whats wrong by clicking on the Report button and going through the report log, but it never opens. Black flashes appear every 2 seconds after exporting from final cut pro

Please can somebody help me figure out what is wrong with it as it is happening with every video I try to make using the AVI filed my camcorder records in.

AVI is not a supported wrapper in FCP (and who knows what's the codec)
You probably should convert the material to an natively editable format before you bring it in to FCP. Mpeg Streamclip is a good app for this purpose. What format you convert to depends on the size and framerate of the original media.

MacBook Screen Flashes and Refreshes every 2 seconds after autoupdate

My daughter installed updates last nite (she thinks itunes, safari, quicktime?) and now her computer will turn on but the display keeps refreshing and will not completely display all her usual icons. I tried resetting the PRAM (Control Command P R) and safe boot (shift) and no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks

This usually means someone has tinkered with the contents of /Library/Receipts & removed the ".pkg" or ".bom" items in it that tell the permissions repair procedure what the correct permissions should be. (See About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature for the full story.)
As a rule, users should not tinker with anything in /Library or System/Library unless they know exactly what they are doing (or at least have a good backup to recover from the problems this can cause). Because the missing files may mean someone has done more tampering than just removing them, I suggest for your situation that you do consider an Archive & Install, followed by running Software Update to get all current updates into the system.
BTW, the earlier advice from nerowolfe was not about doing an install from the DVD. As he explained, after you boot from the DVD & choose your language, immediately go to the Utilities menu at the top of the screen & choose "Disk Utility" from its menu choices. The installer application will be replaced with Disk Utility, which allows you to run its checks & repairs prior to or instead of installing the OS.
I am suggesting here that you do go ahead with the install because of the potential problems with the existing one, but for other times you should know about the utilities you can run from the DVD without doing an install.

I'm using iPhone 3GS since it's launched, I installed iOS5 4 days before, I stay in Saudi Arabia, my iPhone sending auto messages to UK and hence in a day my entire balance got over, when I use my SIM in any other mobile it doesn't happen, it seems there is some app sending auto msg to UK. Pls help me out.

Not tried reseating the sim yet as I need to find the ejector clip.
I did try resetting the network settings and initially it seemed to work. When I have looked at the iPad this morning however the same problem remains.
