House 7 episodes?

I have purchased the season pass for House 7. Why is there onlt five episodes on iTunes when there have been 8 aired already?
Thanks.

It may take some time until episodes, that have been aired, will be available through iTMS

  • Huge G5 Problems

    Well, here my sad story:
    In 2004 I bought a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.5 GHz, 1GB RAM (2x 512MB), ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256MB.
Approx. One year later I decided to upgrade my G5 with additional 2 GB RAM to 3GB. Being aware of the fact that Apple hardware is quite restrictive with what you put in I ordered these "extra high quality value RAM from Corsair that was extra manufactured for exactly and solely for this G5 I was owning and cost a fortune".
I placed the bricks as specified in pairs after the existing ones. As I started up I realized that the bricks in socket 2 weren't recognized. I tried several PMU-resets, PRAM-retets etc. but slot 2 was not recognized, so I decided to leave that slots free and placed the bricks in slot 3 and 4 respectively. After I started up again, the G5 recognized all my 3GB. Tip top. For some months.
After half a year or so I stumbled upon the fact that my G5 told me about having 2.5 GB of RAM. Checking the System Profiler Bank 3 (on both sides) were reported to only have 256 MB each. After resetting PRAM the whole 3GB were recognized again. But every now and then these 512 MB bricks were downgraded to 256 MB until it never stated them as 512 MB anymore. From then on I just lived with the fact that I lost 512MB... oh well.
The real troubles began when I wanted to install 10.5. I got several "Failed to verify the contents of Essentials.pkg" etc errors during install. The errors were quite random until I finally got that cat running on the G5. First I thought this was a software issue with Leopard as many persons here reported same problems with G5's. But when I installed the Adobe CS3 package I got several random failures as well during install. The same with the Developer Tools. Each time downloaded it told about another corrupt package.
So this was the time I decided to replace all my bricks with fresh ones so I got 8 x 512 MB from the same brand thinking that this might also solve that slot-2-not-recognized problem. But that was obviously too optimistic thinking.
Slot 2 was still stated as being empty. But the other slots were perfectly recognized and my G5 was running smoothly with 3GB again. Mo more package verification failures and random errors with disk images etc anymore. Perfect. I thought.
After some hours of happily working with Photoshop, Illustrator (especially since the general performance of these programs and others have been significantly improved under Leopard) I got Photoshop crashed as I switched back to it. I couldn't relaunch it anymore so I tried to restart my machine what resulted in a kernel-panic. After restart several things seemed very odd - I got crashes everywhere and after the third restart I decided to test my memory with memtest from the FreeBSD repository. That tool showed me a whole bunch of errors just at the first test stating that expected memory and given memory (BUFA & BUFB) didn't match. ****, I thought, the RAM damaged already??
I gave it a second try and reset the PMU unit, booted up in Single User Mode and ran memtest again. This time the test passed. But after approx. one hour of work things were getting very odd again and despite my calm nature I used swear-words in combination with names of christian deities in a not very calm way what made my girlfriend check if I'm alright. I was but my G5 wasn't.
Now I tried a lot of things. I replaced all modules, checked every module separately and so on. Fact is that after resetting the PMU things work fine for an hour or so but then I usually get nasty kernel panics. A funny thing I noticed was when I was watching a Dr House episode with VLC, I suddenly got strange 'mutations' in the video. white dots appeared randomly and some decompression oddities appeared. The mutation (looked like radiation hitting a surface) got stronger until it also reached the sound track with "ticks" and ended in a kernel-panic.
Now, what could be wrong with my poor G5?
    - Bad RAM again?
possible. But why are tests passed after PMU reset and only after hours of work it starts to fail again?
    - Problem with the video card?
It would some kind of explain the video-playback oddities. But can RAM-test failures be connected with a malfunctioning video-card?
    - Damaged CPU?
I think this would explain the video-playback oddity as well as RAM check failure. But then again why does a PMU reset fix that for an hour or more? Could it be a overheating problem? What is the max temp a G5 processor can operate under?
    - Problem with the RAM slots
Obviously with the slot 2 on both sides. But could this result the other slots behave erratically as well - after 1 hour?
I would really appreciate your inputs on this one. what could I test to nail the problems down to a component? as I can't really bring that piece of heavy-metal to service easily since I don't have a driver license. The commuter service is good here in Zurich, CH but I just can't lift that nearly-a-ton from bus to bus and tram all the way to a Mac-service center . Also I can't afford really much right now so I'm really kind of forced to fix that thing myself.
I really hope that my beloved G5 has not turned into a $3'500 piece of bulk waste.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas

    Hi comradeTJH,
    I own a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.5GHz, 2GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256 MB, which I bought in 2004 too.
I have the same white dots problem that you have. During playback of some videos, white dots seem to appear and disappear randomly, in a kind of a noise effect. Those white dots also appear when compressing video (for instance, when using iDVD).
Everything else seems to be working fine for me: no kernel panics, no other symptoms. Leopard installed without problems.
I think that might be a video card problem. I tried removing the dust over it, but that did not work. I have not tried a PMU reset lately, but last time I did, it did not solve the problem. I have two displays attached to my G5, but using just one does not seem to make any difference.
My Apple's Hardware Test is not reporting any hardware failures regarding the video card.
From what I have read in Internet forums regarding this video card (also when used in PCs), the white dots problem could be caused by the card's overheating. This might be an explanation in my case, since I detected the card's fan is not spinning at a very high speed.
The ideal solution would be to order a new fan or even a new video card. However, it seems difficult find a suitable replacement and change the fan on the card. Buying another card is more feasible, but they are quite expensive and since you would be buying an AGP card, it would be already obsolete.
I hope that helps. Please, if you find another solution to this problem I would be very grateful if you could post it here.

  • Cleaned installed Windows 7 (64bit) and then itunes 10.5 does not like older itunes purchased TV Shows and Movies?

bringing my library across from my external harddrive, i have noticed that all my House episodes (amongst others) and some older movies will not show in my Library, is there a lack of sync with older files in itunes10.5?
Any help would be much appreciated because this might question my belief in the itunes phenomenum in contrast to just owning a DVD?

Got it working today. I waited until there wre enough messages posted from others in other threads to hopefully get a solution.
I had originally not been able to load iTunes 10.5 64 bit on my HP. I did uninstall, I loaded an older version 10.2 and tried to upgrade it. Nothing worked.
There was a post to another thread about removing QuickTime and then re-installing QuickTime. That did not work. I uninstalled QuickTime again. Then I found a post to uninstall the Appl Software Updater. I did that through Control Panel.
Now my system had only iTunes 10.2 on it, no software updater, no QuickTime.
I ran the full version of iTunes 10.5 (that you get at itunes.com
It ran and when done installing all its components, it started iTunes. I checked the version in Help and it was 10.5.
Not a very pleasant experience. Be aware that if you load an old version like I did, you will have to delete your music library that has an itl extension. This phone and computer had no music so it was not a problem. If you have a lot of music, I would not load an earlier version. Just uninstall all the stuff and do your install.

  • My MacBook pro isn't HDCP?

I tried to Watch Grimm s01e01 that I bought from iTunes and it keeps telling me that it can't play because my monitor isn't HDCP compliant, but I can watch my Season 8 House episodes from itunes in 720 just fine.
To be clear, I don't have an external display connected, this is just my MacBook's LCD panel we're talking about.
So what gives, does House not require HDCP? Is my built in LCD not HDCP compliant? That sure seems like a bad decision by apple...

  • Video Skips When Moving Around

If i get up and move with my laptop the Video (normal .avi House episode) skips, almost like a CD in a car when you hit a bump. It's mostly when i put the laptop down on a chair/desk/lap. Just wondering what this is all about?
Another, different problem. When watching any video in QT it's choppy all time. Unwatchable choppy. I have to watch in VLC (not a big deal, but a little annoying)
Anyone have any QT upgrades I should download to make this not happen?

Not sure I understand what you are describing, but you may be engaging the Exposé feature. In ANY app, if you use Exposé, the system will expose all of your currently opened windows by making them smaller, so that could be what you mean by "move back." You then click on the window you want to use; it's meant to be an easy way to find and switch between windows, if you have a lot of windows open at the same time.
You may be activating it by squeezing your mouse, if you use a Mighty Mouse. Go into System Preferences Mouse pane. You should see the mouse diagram with lines going to both sides of the mouse. That is "squeeze" setting. If it is set to +Exposé - All Windows+, change it to OFF.
Note: You can also engage Exposé using the F9 key, or the special key with the little rectangles (depending on how your keyboard's F-keys are set).

  • AppleTV vs. Cable

I've been thinking of getting rid of my cable and replacing it with an AppleTV. Since all of the regular "over the air" networks have better HD quality than the same channels on cable (due to Comcast's over-compressing the HD channels), and we really only watch a handful of "cable" programs, it doesn't really seem worth it to shell out $75 bucks a month (pretty much the cheapest we can get HD cable) to the cable company. It makes more sense just to pay the $2 per episode on iTunes of the programs that we do watch.
However, I'm having trouble locating information on what resolution TV programs on iTunes/AppleTV are. I know the movies are only 720p, but since that's the best we can get from cable anyways, it's really not that big of a deal. I'd be happy if the TV shows that are HD on cable are 720p on the AppleTV.
So, does anyone know what the resolution of TV shows on iTunes/AppleTV are?
    Thanks.

I have a 1080i Polaroid 40" and not very picky when it comes to quality unless it's THAT bad. I started purchasing LOST from the very beginning for my iPod. When I would play them on my iMac, I was disappointed and resolved to watching them only on my iPod. That being said, I've been catching up on the old episodes (to put our new ATV to good use during the hiatus) and I've been pleasantly surprised. The older episodes look just fine on my TV (much better than they look on my iMac). Of course not as good as the more recent episodes that are formated for the iPhone and/or ATV. Hey...ANYTHING is better without commercials!!!
Then again, LOST is our only experience because I deleted our Psych and House episodes long before we got our ATV .

  • ITunes says shows are "Unavailable"

I am trying to purchase some episodes of 30 Rock, but when I add them to my cart (SD versions), not only does it display as HD, but also as "unavailable," and doesn't let me purchase them. Any help? Thanks for your time.

This is NOT an NBC based problem. I was trying to buy a House episode (that's a Fox show) and see the same behavior. I tried to buy some Season 1 Lost, and one episode worked and one did not. Even more scary, I can buy the shows from my AppleTV without any problems.
Looks like the problem occurs only with iTunes 8 and shows available in HD and SD. I've bought previous episodes of House with the old version of iTunes, but since they added rentals all videos seem to require iTunes 8. Of course, version 8.0 is going to be bug-infested. Hope Apple puts this on the list for 8.1, because I'm just not turning on one-click. Genius won't sell me anything until this is fixed.

  • TS1424 Why is house season 8 only by episode only and not available in HD?

The option to buy the episodes on HD isn't available and I cant buy the season in its entirety. Please Help! Thanks

You don't say what country that you are in, but assuming that it's the US then series 8 is currently only available in SD and only on an episode-by-episode basis - whether that will change we won't know (we are fellow users), but it will require the TV company/US rights-holder to provide HD versions of the show and/or do a 'series pass' for it, it's not Apple's decision.

  • What has happened to the latest episode of house of cards

Why isn't episode 25 available today?

Thanks I'm from Australia and we get drip fed 1 episode a week via Apple TV due to licensing agreements. For some reason this weeks hasn't shown up.  We don't have Netflix here. Thanks for your suggestions.

  • HBO House Arrest Episode Shot Entirely With Sony Z1U

Just a heads up for Shane because I know he always is interested in this stuff.
Videographer Jon Alpert used Sony's HVR-Z1U HDV camcorder to shoot HBO reality show House Arrest. . .
Latest issue of DV Magazine, p. 10

Well, don't think the price will drop, but do think the capacity with double... 16 gig cards... but since you'd not ever use them for storage other than temporary, I don't think this is going to be a big issue. Shoot, we're taking laptops to the sets now, so it's just a matter of downloading a card while the other shoots so you just keep swapping them out during the shoot. Hey, tapeless has other pluses... The cards dump 1080i at 4 times speed so no time spent digitizing... there's a hidden cost benefit there too. Also you can delete bad takes on the camera before you download so you don't sort through as much footage in post as well... another time saver.

  • ITune will no longer download podcast episodes

Okay, as the subject line said, I can't no longer download any podcast episode.  This started to happen after I updated my Norton software last weekend.  Now I can't play any episodes that were downloaded before the Norton update.  I can still "grab" new episodes, but they show up with an exclamation mark right next to them as if the file hasn't been downloaded, but I can stream those files as if I am listening to internet radio.  Obviously, I can't import those new episodes to my iPod because they aren't downloaded files.  Also, my entire library of music are no longer playable in iTune as well.  As of now, the only thing iTune is good for on my computer is listening to podcast episodes through internet streaming.  I'm running a Window Vista 32-bit system.  Help, anyone?

I'm having this exact same problem. Here's how it happened for me:
I was in my house about to leave waiting for someone, and it dawned on me to download some new or recent episodes of a podcast. I went into the Podcast app and started them, and then locked my device thinking that the episodes would be downloading. Little did I know they weren't on my wifi for some reason. I found this out when the person I was waiting for was ready to leave so we could go somewhere and I unlocked my phone in the car. At that point I switched over to LTE and the oldest of these 3 episodes I wanted to download started downloading and was completed in seconds. When it got to the other 2 remaining episodes, they both just had the status of "Preparing to download..." With the loading wheel that tells you how much has been downloaded at 0%. Still right now it's like this. Could this just be an issue with LTE, the podcast, or any of iTunes podcasts as a whole?

  • Grouping TV Shows - ie TV Show Name Seasons Episodes

I am seeing in Apple TV under TV Shows:-
    Stargate SG-1 - Season 1
    Stargate SG-1 - Season 2
    etc
The West Wing - Season 1
The West Wing - Season 2
    etc
Is there anyway to get the TV Show to pull all the Seasons together and just show the TV Show, then the Seasons, then the episodes?
The way I am seeing it now with several TBs of TV shows this is going to be a very long scrolling list.
Any ideas? Can I group them somehow by changing an attribute in the meta data?
    Thanks
    Background just in case relevant
Just got a new Apple TV 2 - it connecting nicely to all the Macs in the house.
I am converting all my video and putting it into iTunes (10.0.1) using iFlicks (a tad flakey) and Elgato Turbo HD H.264 usb co-processor.
All going well, quicker if iFlicks were more stable and stop stalling without any indication it had done so.

For my test I had "Friends" and when I did the multiple item dialog and put a "1" in the season field it displays the season on the first level. So when I view by shows it has "Friends" with Season 1 in smaller font underneath. I just saw that and wanted to add it to my post
This is the way most people view their TV shows list. However, the original poster asked how to merge the various seasons for a single show together under a single TV show name--just the opposite of what you are doing (i.e., dividing the show by season). In my explanation, you select all episodes in all seasons for a single TV show, open the multi-file Info window and remove all of the season numbers in a single action. Thereafter, all episodes for that TV Show will then display under a single TV show name and, if the episode #s are correct, will be listed in their episode by season order but not place a "header" between seasons as is done on the TV1 menu when season IDs are included.
For me, it is six of one and a half dozen of the other. For instance, the original Doctor Who TV series has 26 seasons which would make 26 Doctor Who TV show entries in the TV show list making it easier to access individual episodes for each season. On the other hand, grouping all 26 seasons under a single TV show name makes it easier to select an individual TV show but makes it more difficult to access a single episode in the "season by episode" list which now contains over 500 individual episodes. Thus, each user must decide for himself/herself which work flow is more suited to their individual needs. My only reason for posting was to point out that both options are available for TV show lists and answers the OP's question.

  • House M.D. Missing.

Installed a new AppleTV2. I can rent many different TV shows but not House M.D. If I search for it by name, it does not come up. If I search for episode titles they do not show up. Apple say they have not dropped House. Anybody here seen anything like this.

Check iTunes on your computer, if it not available for rent then that is the issue. Since ATV2 has no user accessible hard drive you can only rent and not purchase.
