  • Bank account vs Bank Sub account

    Dear Friends,
Can anyone please explain about the Bank sub-account.
Kinldy explain the difference between the Bank account and Bank Sub account.
    Thanks and regards,
    Mahendra Dev

Bank Account and Bank subaccount are linked not in any table but just for the number of the account. As mentioned before tipically you will use (in. ex) this account number for bank account (depending on local chart of accounts) 120000 and you will use the same account number ending with 1 or 2 or... for the subaccounts:
    120001 - cash income
    120002 - cash outcome
it is just an example ¿ok?
In some extend you can set in accounts master data (FS00) the Bank ID and Account ID and you may set the same IDs for Bank Account and Subaccount. This could be useful sometimes for reporting etc.
In bank determination: FBZP-Maintain Paiment programBank DeterminationBanks Accounts you will set the bank subaccount depending if payment method is for incoming (direct debit...) or outcoming (transfers to vendors...)
if you use electronic bank statement you will configure the bank account and subaccounts in:
    OFTDBussines VolumeEBSOT59 (postings rules)Accounts

  • Citibank Bank Account - No Control Key Exists

    Hi,
I have tried searching in the forum something related, but no success.
I am setting up Bank accounts under House Banks in FBZP and for Citibank there is no Control Key information given.
Here in Brazil the Bank account number does not contain the CONTROL KEY as the majority of banks.
In this case how should the field be set up?
    Any input is welcome

  • Bank account number & Bank number structure for Chile

    Hi,
Does anybody know how the Bank number & Bank account number structure is?
I do need to create a module for banks field (because it is not delivered in standard SAP). Does anybody do it before?
    Thanks a lot

    Dear Rafael,
Please check the following details for the Country Chile, which is as per the TCode 'OY17' :
    Bank number length   15
    Tax Number 1             11
    Length of Bank Key   15
Besides, you also should check the box 'Other Data' which will take care of the internal check.
On the other hand, Conversion of bank details to IBAN is carried out by function module CONVERT_BANK_ACCOUNT_2_IBAN_<2 characters country code>. For example, for CHILE, the function module will be CONVERT_BANK_ACCOUNT_2_IBAN_CH.
For this, two function modules and two Business Transaction Events (BTEs) are to be created for each country:
    1.  Copy the SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00003030 function module from SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00003030 to
CONVERT_BANK_ACCOUNT_2_IBAN_??, in which you must replace the '??' with your country's name.
    2.  Copy the SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00003040 function module from SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00003040 to
CONVERT_IBAN_2_BANK_ACCOUNT_??, in which you must replace the '??' exactly as above.
I hope this information is useful.
    Best regards,
    Suresh Jayanthi.

  • HOUSE BANK - Account ID, Bank Key, Swift Code

    Hi All,
I hv doubt in customisation of a house bank. While configuring a house bank, we need:-
    1)  Account ID
    2)  Bank Key
    3)  Swift Code
could anybody please explain what is the role of these 3 items when we run Automatic Payment Programme & manual bank reconcialtion of any house bank.
    Thanks in advance
    Deepak Garg

    Hello Deepak,
I try to explai as my best:
    1) Account ID:
This is uinique ID for bank a/c no. To identify ur bank under same house bank. here u will be giving the gl a/c for each bank. for ex:
In SBI u have one current a/c and one loan a/c. u will create one SBI house bank and two a/c id's which is for current a/c and loan a/c.
    2) Bank Key:
This is an identification for ur house bank. i.e. each branch will have a unique bank key. thats how u will identify the house banks.
    3) Swift Code:
The S.W.I.F.T. code is used for identifying banks in international payment transactions. for ur payments in other currency or foreign currency ur bank needs to have a SWIFT code.
    Thanks

  • Deactivate mandatory check bank account, bank control key

For certain Italian customers we use payment method 'R' where it is only necessary to have a bank key and no bank account or bank control key. Unfortunatly SAP always asks for those 2 when you enter a bank key. In other words, you cannot only enter a bank key.
We don't like to enter dummy bank data in order to get the data in without errors. Is there a way to deactivate the mandatory check on bank account and bank control key when you use payment method 'R'?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Tom,
You can try to change the Field checks of the countries, but it will work for all applications of these data for the bank data for this country. See SAP Note 31203 ' Entry of bank data w/o bank number (bank code)' as a sample.
    I hope this helps you

  • Closure of company's bank account.

    Dear Guru,
Appreciate your insight on the issue.
When a company close it's bank account basically it's house bank, how should we treat it?
Should we set the bank key for deletion? and how? because the bank key is still define in the house bank. Thanks.

    Dear VG,
I can't set the deletion indicator as the bank key is still define in the house bank. So if I remove the bank key in the house the system would prompt me to enter a new bank key as it's a mandatory field.
Another question: could i use the same house bank for a different bank account number? let say company have bank AAA then opens a new bank account with bank BBB then closes bank AAA. So what should i do with house bank AAA in the system?

  • Vendor bank accounts - blocking for use

    Hello,
here is my problem. After several years some vendors do not use all bank accounts which are in vendor master record.
Example: bank account 888888,bank account 77777, bank account 99999
our clients are not using bank account 888888 any more. Still when their users are posting invoices, sometimes choose bank account which is not in use. So how can we block bank accounts not to be used ? Keep in mind that erasing accounts can not be done because audit trail of bank transactions.
    Best regards to all

    Hi
There is no standard SAP control is available to stop posting to the not used banks.
You can do the same using validation.....create a validation for total document to the particualr company codes and use the user exit in the validation checking in that user exit you can use the Z table , there in the table enter the vendor master, bank key details which are not used further...for entering this table you can use Z transaction...ABAPer will do the same....whenever user try to post the transactions system will check the Z table used in the user exit....and stops the user to post.
    Other way...............
In the Bank details of the Vendor master , you will find the "partner bank type"...using this field user can post to the correct bank at the line item invoice....user has to select the partner bank type everytime, if no selection made then default it will take make postings to first one.
    Try the alternatives

  • Bank accounts and app tabs

I have a general question about app tabs and accessing my bank accounts online. I have read articles that say that when accessing your accounts online the safest method is to have only that trusted site open, so that in case there is a problem you don't get sent to a fake website. However if you have app tabs pinned then from my understanding these websites are always open. I was just wondering how that would affect accessing your accounts, or if this is not something to be concerned about.
    Thanks for your time.

Bank Account and Bank Sub Account refers to the Accounts used in Bank Accounting. It is optional to use Bank Sub Account.
Bank Account is mandatory and enter at the House Bank page.(T.code: FI12). This is the GL Account that is used for all the accounting transaction by default including the payment transactions.
Bank Sub Account is used as a clearing account for payment transaction to track the payments that are not yet cleared by the bank.
Bank Sub Account is entered at the Maintain Payment Program settings (T.Code OBVCU) under Bank Determination ->Bank Accounts.
Accounting Entry for Bank Sub Account Scenario:
    Payment Entry :
    Expenses Dr.
    Bank Sub Account Cr.
    Payment Clearing based on statement:
    Bank Sub Account Dr.
    Bank Account Cr.
This functionality reflects the Bank Balance in GL as close as the Actual Bank Physical Balance.

  • Leading Zeros in bank Account for EBS

    Hi,
We configured the bank account number with two leading zeros in the house bank.  Say for example i defined the bank account number as 0012345 Under house bank HSBC.
When I receive the bank statement, the bank account number is coming with 12 digits i.e. will all leading zeros. say for example 000000012345.
When i am loading the bank statement using the transaction FF_5, the system is giving the error Table "T012K does not have an entry with bank account number 12345".  The client is saying the length of account number is 7 digits and should be maintained as 0012345. However the EBS is not working with the leading zeros. How can we fix this issue?
    Regards
    Kotesh Padarti

    Hello!
You can try to configure alternatice bank account in FI12. This is used in situations when the presentation of bank account in bank statement differs from that configured in main bank account field e.g. your house bank might provide you with the following layouts 000000012345 or 0012345USD etc. Therefore this functionality enables the system to recognize the bank account.
    Hope this will help you!
    Best Regards!

  • IBAN information for United States of America's banks accounts

    hi
I am creating a vendor (trx XK01) based in the USA, and I am not sure which information should I populate in the IBAN information at vendor's bank account (USA bank account).
Could you please tell me which information should i populate in IBAN for USA vendor?
Does anybody knows what validation SAP makes when populating the IBAN code for a US banks account?
    points will be rewarded
    Cheers!

    Rafael,
First things first - as pointed by others in this thread, US does not primarily rely or use the concept of IBAN. So, just putting a normal bank key and bank account no. should suffice for most operational requirements.
However, to answer your query, for IBAN SAP does validations similar to what it does for any other country. The validations are contained in the function module MAINTAIN_IBAN_FROM_DATA where system checks, among other things, for:
    - check if IBAN corresponds to country code
Another FM that gets called from within the above-mentioned FM is CHECK_IBAN where the following checks are are included:
    - check ISO code exists for country
    - check IBAN length
    - IBAN can contain just numbers and letters
But then, as I mentioned earlier, you perhaps might not need to go into all this as US does not bother with IBAN much.
Remember to assign points if found useful.

    Gulshan
