House Bank address & swift code
Hi All
We have configured the house bank in development system and moved to QA 300, but Bank address & swift code is not moved to QA300. Remaining House bank, Bank country and Bank Key are moved successfully.
what was the reason swift code & Bank address is not moved to QA300.
Regards
K.Gunasekar
Hi Gunasekar,
The address in bank Key is actually not transported normally. You need to do some setting in the transport request to transport it to the next system.
Transportation of BNKA table:-
Step 1 Double click on created request.
Step 2 Open the tab Objects, Enter R3TR, TABU and BNKA in the column Program ID, Object Type and Object Name.
Step 3 Double Click on BNKA Object name and and enter * for table contents.
Now Transport as usual and the address data will also get transported.

House Bank Address Not In Transport
Hi SAP Gurus,
We added a new house bank in FBZP and entered all the necessary info, cocode, house bank, bank country, bank key, swift code, address, etc. However, when we moved the config to QA, the bank address is missing in the config that made it to QA. All the following tables are in our transport: T012, T012D, T012K and T012T.
We went back to our DEV box, entered the address again and manually triggered a transport. Still the complete bank address is missing in QA. Although we can manually insert the bank address in production. My question is, is there any reason why our transport is not allowing the bank address to be included or should the address be updated using Fi02? And shouldnu2019t FI12 directly update table BNKA? We are on ECC6 platform.
Thanks,
KeenHi keen,
Address data in a Bank Key can be transported but there is a special way of transporting the request to make sure that Address data is transferred to the QE0/PE0 clients.
Follow the steps below:-
1. Double click on the created transport request in SE10.
2. Go to the Objects tab, and enter R3TR, TABU and BNKA in the 2nd 3rd and the 4th coulumn.. Pro_, Obj_, Object Name.
3. Now double click on BNKA Object name and enter * for table contents under table keys.
This way the address related data can be very well transported to other clients.

HOUSE BANK - Account ID, Bank Key, Swift Code
Hi All,
I hv doubt in customisation of a house bank. While configuring a house bank, we need:-
1) Account ID
2) Bank Key
3) Swift Code
could anybody please explain what is the role of these 3 items when we run Automatic Payment Programme & manual bank reconcialtion of any house bank.
Thanks in advance
Deepak GargHello Deepak,
I try to explai as my best:
1) Account ID:
This is uinique ID for bank a/c no. To identify ur bank under same house bank. here u will be giving the gl a/c for each bank. for ex:
In SBI u have one current a/c and one loan a/c. u will create one SBI house bank and two a/c id's which is for current a/c and loan a/c.
2) Bank Key:
This is an identification for ur house bank. i.e. each branch will have a unique bank key. thats how u will identify the house banks.
3) Swift Code:
The S.W.I.F.T. code is used for identifying banks in international payment transactions. for ur payments in other currency or foreign currency ur bank needs to have a SWIFT code.
Thanks

EBS - Checks Auto Clearing for two house banks same company code
Hello,
I have two house banks in one company code. Both have the same account numbers but different bank keys. When I load the EBS file, checks of only one house bank are getting cleared. Is there any way I could accomodate both the house banks. I use alogorithm 011, and the EBS is in BAI2 file format.
Will String search be of any help here.?
KiranDo you get single statement for both house bank accounts?
Check the 'Assign Bank Accounts to Transaction Types' in EBS customizing. In this step, you'll assign 'Transaction type' to Bank Key and Bank Account. See if you have assigned only for Bank account. If the Bank key field is left blank, this issue is a possibility. So try defining two lines with the Bank Key-Bank Account combination and assign the same transaction type for both.
The above solution should work.
If it does not, you can copy the Transaction type into a new one and then assign the new one to the second Bank Key-Bank Account combination. Dont forget to 'Assign External Transaction Types to Posting Rules' while copying.
Either of the options should work for you.

House Bank Configuration/ Assignment
Hi All ,
I need information on House Bank Configuration/ Assignment with respect to business area. Its very urgent.....
regards
PSNGBank that your company used for banking purposes.
It is also the first step for configuring your Account Payable Modules.
FI12 - Configure House Bank
House Banks
First Step: We first create House Banks. These are the banks for
your clients. Your client uses these for its banking transactions. One House Bank can have multiple bank accounts assigned
to it.
During the implementation one can try to rationalize both, the Banks and the Accounts.
A House Bank has
a Unique Bank Key. Bank Keys differ by each country's norms. The US Bank Key is called ABA (American Banking Association)
number. Normally each House Bank can have its own Company Code. In some cases, where the Banks use a different ABA key for
paper Transactions and a different one for Electronic Transactions, you Create Two House Banks instead of one for One
Physical Bank. Also, Two Bank Accounts will be created for a Single GL Account.
T-Code: FI12
Menu Path:
Financial Accounting > General Ledger Accounting > Bank-Related Accounting > Bank Accounts > Define House Banks
Config
Steps:
A House Bank is tied to a Company Code and each Bank Account is tied to a House Bank. So first we Select the
Company Code for which the House Bank is to be created.
The Create Bank icon is clicked and it brings up a pop up for
House Bank Identifier and House Bank Country. House Bank ID is a number decided by you. You can specify a number based on
your numbering conventions.
The Next screen requires entry of the Bank Key - the ABA number is the House Bank country
selected was US. On this screen you also enter the House Bank Address data as well Control Data - comprising of SWIFT COde,
Bank Group and Bank Number.
Once the House Bank data has been entered and filled up, you click on Bank Accounts and
you are taken to the screen to configure the Bank Accounts. On the Next screen click on the "Create Acct" icon.
A pop
up comes up where you enter the House Bank Identifier in your system as well as the Bank Account identifier in your system
along with a text description. Once this is done, we get to the main screen where we enter the following
data:
Bank Account: The Bank Account given BY the Bank.
Altern. Acct No.: This field is used when two
accounts at the same bank use the same account number. This situation may arise when the bank manages the accounts in two
different currencies. This field has a different number than the Bank Account field.
Currency: This is the
currency in which the account is managed.
Control Key: For US Banks, this is used to identify whether the account
is a Checking or Savings account. The key is 01 for Checking and 02 for Savings. The Default value is checking account if
nothing is specified.
GL Account: Each Bank Account is assigned to a GL Account Number. The Bank Account updates
the GL Account entered here.
Discount Account: If the company uses the Bill of Exchange facility then we enter the
Cash Discount Account for Credit Memo Postings that this Bank Account should update.
Bank Account
Structure
It is important to have the right structure for Bank Accounts, GL Accounts and the Clearing
Accounts.
It is important to know how much of:
Confirmed Cash,
Floating Cash out, and
Floating Cash
in
is available for the company on a particular day.
There should be Only One Confirmed Cash GL Account with many
Bank Clearing Accounts. So, the Checks Outgoing Clearing, Wire Outgoing, ACH Out, and Deposits clearing need to be set up
for each Bank Account. It is also important to leave room for additional clearing accounts that may be needed in future.
For this, we may have a range of 10 GL Accounts for each Bank Account. The numbering, for example, can have the GL Account
ending with 0 for each Confirmed Cash Balance (eg: 110000); each deposit clearing account will end up with a 1 (110001); each
outgoing check clearing account will end with a 2. each outgoing ACH account will end with a 3 and each outgoing wire
account may end up with a 4.
Check Lots and Void Reason Codes
The final step in configuring of the AP Bank
Account is to assign it to a check lot.
Check Lots
If the company has a MICR printer then a blank
check lot can be used for Payables. The check lot determines the check number that is used on payments.
The first
step is to bring up the "Check Lots" screen.
T-code: FCHI
Menu Path: Financial Accounting >
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check
Management > Define Number Ranges for Checks
On the main screen you need to fill up Company Code, House Bank number,
and the Account ID for which the checks are being created (?)
After saving the information click on "Change Status"
icon. This takes you to "Maintain Check Lots" screen. Most of the information will come filled up. You can enter the From
and To check Numbers.
To create a new check lot and assign it to the account, you can click on the "Create" icon. In
the pop up enter the Lot number identifier and he range of the check numbers and also the next lot number if
needed.
Void Reason Codes
In SAP, it is not possible to void a check without a valid reason code. We
can have any number of Void Reason codes. There should be at least one Void reason Code configured in the
system.
T-code: FCHV
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business
Transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check Management > Define Void Reason Codes.
Three Void
reason Codes come pre-configured - 1, 2, and 3. They deal with the problems encountered with the printers. There are
indicators to be assigned which define whether the Reason Code is due to Manual or Print program. Any codes created by the
users are only assigned Manual.
Payment Program Configuration
This step determines how to process
the payment transactions in the system.
The Payment Program is a series of steps within one Program.
The
configuration occurs in table T042 and other variations of table T042 that end in a letter.
T-Code:
FBZP
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Outgoing
Payments > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment Method/Bank Selection > Configure Payment Program

House Bank segments E1EDK28 in outbound INVOIC02
Good day!
In our ECC 6.0 system, we have configured 2 house banks: Bank X and Bank Y.
When we create an invoice for customer A, an idoc is triggered and stored as an XML file in a folder. We have an output type and partner profile configured for this process.
Once we look at the idoc, we find 2 E1EDK28 segments each one representing the house banks we have configured.
My quesition is: How can we configure SAP to just create one E1EDK28 for one specific house bank? In other words, is there a way we can specify that for a given customer (customer A) every time we create an invoice we want to share information about House Bank X in one E1EDK28 segment?
I tried to specify the house bank in t-codes FD02 (Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable -> Master Records -> Change) in the tab Payment Transactions. There you can find a section called Automatic payment transactions and you can provide a House Bank, but this seems not to work for what we want to achieve.
thanks for your help.Hi,

Bank Key, Bank Number and SWIFT code
Hi expert,
I would like to consult your expertise on the following issues: Bank Key, Bank Number and SWIFT code.
In Country Field Check, OY17, If I select the bank key (section key for bank directory) options 4, assigned externally; then in FI01 bank key data creation, my bank number (in control data section) can be freely defined.
If in OY17, my bank key option is 1, bank number. Then, during FI01 bank data creation, my bank number must be same with bank key.
My question is that: I would like, in OY17, selection option 4, but I would like to have some clarifications on FI01 bank creation as well as electronic bank statement ( section of: Assign bank account accounts to transactions types): In the section of Assign bank account accounts to transactions types, I need to fill in bank key+bank account and transaction type.
My Questions: during MT940, electronic bank statement (EBS), since I set bank key + bank account, what control data (in FI01 screen) that SAP will use for automatic EBS? Bank number or SWIFT code?
Besides that, I am not quite understand statement by SAPPress book, Quick Reference Guide Financial Accounting with SAP - Chapter 7 Banking, as follows:
If you use the SWIFT code as bank key in a specific country, we strongly recommend that you set the bank data flag on the further checks section in OY17. This ensures that the system automatically performs the formal control on the SWIFT code entered in the SWIFT code field (BNKA-SWIFT), and not on the SWIFT code entered in bank key.
Thanks in advance
sbmelHi,
House bank is the bank through which your company is dealing all their financial transaction.
Bank key is a country unique number in the US it is called the ABA routing number.
The account ID is a user definable field that allows you to "name" your bank accounts at your bank using any convention you prefer.
Bank master data means all the data related to a particular BANK .examole HDFC all the information related this particular bank.
House bank master data it is related all your bank master data.Example,Hdfc,ICICI,Axis ,BOB etc.
The S.W.I.F.T. code is used for identifying banks in international payment transactions.Uniquely identifies a bank throughout the world.
Bank number is a code given to a particular Bank.

House bank remit address conflicts with vendor bank data in FI02
The house bank remit address is entered in FI02 base on the bank key or ABA number. Since maintenance of bank address is the same in FI02 for vendor banks there is the potential of a vendor using the same Bank and routine vendor bank address maintenance to conflict or change our house bank remit address. Is there a way to enter remit addresses for house banks so they can't be accessed from FI02?
hi deepa,
it's not good because in the free selection if we will defined house bank he will be used for all the payments in the payment run
and we need that in the same current payment run we have for example vendor 1 - house bank xxx for vendor 2 - house bank yyy

However, when I I attmpt to do a print out I go to the spool jobs and the print job is not there. When you use are old house bank the print job always shows when you go to spool job. Hope that helps.

Hi
In Bank Master data, SWIFT code is one of the entries with respect to a Bank. Generally most of the International Banks have a specific "SWIFT" code specific to a country.(FI02)
There is a requirement in a client where in Credit Suisse Bank has 2 Swift codes. For a vendor to make payments the Bank master is to be updated on a regular basis to keep switching between the two SWIFT codes. The issue is the bank master record is based on Bank Country and Bank Key. We are not able to create a new record with a different SWIFT code. Can you suggest a method to circumvent daily changes in master data and how we can maintain 2 records with different SWIFT Codes.
KarthikHi,
Generally, each bank will have only one single SWIFT code. Please check the following link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/d0/7101b81caf11d2954b00a0c9426c73/frameset.htm
Also,
BIC/Bank Identifier Code
Every Bank location has a unique Bank Identifier Code, also known as a SWIFT Code. Other BIC Codes used for sending outgoing Wire Transfers are ABA, Fed Wire (US), BLZ Code (Germany), Sort Code (UK).
I think u need to recheck?
