Hi all,
When I am maintaining IT0581(Housing) for an employee with COA the system is giving error "No automatic updation for IT0008. Relevant Wagetype not found." I have maintained a wagetype with tax code SCOA under Recc Pay and Deductions for the same but its not working. Please advise.

enter Minimum Rental Amount in 0581....
go to PA30 press enter 3 times u will get all the wage types

Using Config Manager to manage company owned Ipads

From what I've been reading online, IPad management through SCCM and Intune seems to be more focused towards the user BYOD model. But what about managing company owned devices? I've looked at the Exchange Connector option. But, I'm most
interested in application delivery. Which is not an option with the Exchange Connector. Have any other users used SCCM for app delivery on company owned IPads? If so, can you provide some insight on what your experience has been like? I'm
assume most companies just user other vendor options to manage their in-house devices for this purpose? To me, the whole syncing accounts to the cloud and to publicly available domains just to manage in-house resources seems like overkill.

So I deactivated my Dirsync, and deleted my synced account from Intune. Removed the Intune connector in Config Mgr. Removed the Intune role, and rebooted the server. Then went back into my Intune account and reactivated Dirsync. From
the cloudusersync log I get the following errors:

I verified my synced accounts reappeared in Intune with the correct UPN and are activated accounts. I continued on and added the Intune connecter and the Intune site role in Config Mgr. There were no errors in the sitecomp log, and I received
a Synchronization complete entry.

We block outbound ICMP at our firewall. So, I'm not sure if that would cause a problem. I also recall reading in another forum post that another user tracked down an issue related to corrupt connector certificates in their database. Any
idea if this might be the problem in my case, or how I could go about verifying this?

Without the previous user's ID and password, or getting him to remove the phone from his list of devices, the iPhone is useless. There is no workaround for this and certainly where individuals are concerned Apple cannot help.
I have seen a suggestion that Apple may be willing to do this in a corporate situation like the one you are in, but I've seen no confirmation of this. You have nothing to lose by contacting Apple and asking, but don't be surprised if you are told it can't be done. This is a security device and if it was possible to bypass it there would be no point in having it in the first place.

HT201365 Company owned devices

How can we deal with company owned iOS 7 devices locked to an employee's personal Apple ID after they have left the business?! We have 60 devices in our organisation, and Apple does not appear support:
- Blocking users from upgrading to iOS 7. We just have to ask nicely - but patience will run out!
- Blocking download/use of Find My iPhone
- Disabling Activation Lock via MDM
So, how can we realistically manage this from an asset management/IT perspective? The company own the device - not the individual user. However, you must login to the device with an Apple ID. The only possible option I see is to create Apple IDs against their company email addresses, so we can reset the Apple ID password should they leave the business. This would be a nightmare, and users would not be keen on adding their personal credit card details to a work email address. Also, any personal app's purchased against that ID cannot be transferred to another email address - so again, this isn't a feasible solution.
I understand what Apple were going for with this feature - In fact, for regular home/consumer users it's a fantastic feature which will hopefully reduce thefts etc. But yet again, Apple don't seem to realise they have a huge enterprise user-base where we need to be able to manage/control certain features centrally.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Some potentially good news on the horizon for anyone else concerned by this feature for company owned devices. I have heard there is an upcoming release by Apple to their MDM partners called "Streamlined MDM Enrolment". This is actually listed on the Education page for iOS 7 already. This will supposedly enable devices to be fully enrolled and provisioned over-the-air (in "supervised" mode) without the need for a physical connection using USB or Apple Configurator.

In addition, new devices can be placed wirelessly in supervised mode, which enables enhanced management options. I await some timescales as to when we'll be able to utilise this new feature.

Personal or company iCloud account on company-owned iPhones?

I work in IT at a small company where some employees have company-purchased iPhones. I was wondering what is the recommended set up for iCloud on these devices? Should they create a personal iCloud account, or should they use an iCloud account created by the company?
Please note we are a small company and do not have the money or resources for an iOS device management solution.

They can use iCloud. Since the devices would be logged in to the company iCloud account, all backups and and data syncs would happen on the company iCloud account. You don't need to log in to iCloud after the first login really.

Removing personal accounts from a company-owned Mac...remotely

I handed in a company-owned Mac when I left the company a couple of weeks ago, and I tried to remove all of my personal Apple accounts from the machine before I handed it in, but I don't think that the iMessage account removal was successful. How do I remove iMessage access to my #/account from a Mac that I no longer have access to? And on top of that, how do I verify that none of my other personal Apple accounts are still associated with that machine?
I would be so grateful if someone could throw some insight or direction my way on this topic! Many thanks in advance...

It's a bit late now. You should have done a secure erase on the machine before turning it in. You now have no access to the machine except to go back to your former employer and ask if you can do that having forgotten before.

You'll need to contact Apple directly with proof of ownership of the device for the company, and have them remove it.
Otherwise it cannot be done directly.

Please let me know the report name or any Transaction how to get the details of "COMPANY LEASED ACCOMODATION".It can be ssen from Infotype 581.But i want the report name where all the employees data can be generated indicating "Company Leased Accomodation".

there is no standard report available. u have to develop a custome report. if u having knowledge on SQVI u can take output in AVL format.

INVENTORY REPORT for customer but not consignment company owned

HI Everyone,
I am working on creating an inventory report and sending it out to a customer.
We have a customer who needs to see their inventory we are going to ship. we are making materials for them on an MTS scenario based on a forecast... So the customer before placing a PO should be able to look at the inventory levels we make for them. on a daily basis.... No what I am trying to is execute a program that sends out an inventory report (the programs I am using are( RSMIPROACT and ROEMPROACT)... I try to fill in the fields and save as a variant and we run it as a background job every morning and we send out an idoc to the customer...
The above process is a scenario that still needs to be worked on...
THe customer should be able to look at only his stock and not any other stock....
Now can we use a display of listing/exclusion function to send out the material stock report.... we need to send the total inv as well as the mat numbers... can we acheive it with the listing/exclusion funtion..
Or is there a program that pulls all the data from the tables which store the customer material info record where we maintain all the materials for a customer...
If there i a better way through which this can eb done please suggest me... thank you..
Once again the above stock is not consignent stock... we are manufacturinng based on the forecasts and we need the customer t be able to look at the stock on a daily basis.... Please help...

There is no report / funtionality is SAP to acheive this. Custom program is the only solution. Your logic looks ok, where there is a CMIR maintained, you may pick the total stock from table MARD put into a format/layout and transfer via idoc to the customer.

Change in Perquisite Value on Company leased accomodation

Perquiste value on CLA needs to be changed to 15% of salary or CLA which ever is lower.
With effect April 2008, perquisite value on interest free loan has
been changed to 15.50%.
Please let us know how and where we have to make changes to effect this .

Regarding HRA

Dear All,
I'm facing a peculiar situation where in the company in consideration has plants in many locations. When an employee is transferred to a plant he is provided a company owned accomodation and rent is recovered on the same. The employee pays rent in his base location. In this condition the employee is eligible to claim HRA exemption on both the heads/ wagetypes.
The standard SAP system has a timeconstraint of 1 and will not allow two accomodations to be maintained.
How to handle this scanerio in the SAP system. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Yes he is eligible to claim exemption on both the amounts the HRA being paid in base location under section 10, and on the amount recovered by the employer as part of rent recovery under section 17(2).

Have a company based itunes account, trying to share itunes on bank owned devices. can't get all devices to keep our shared password on them without requesting user to enter password (which i am not giving them)

i am an IT manager for a bank. we have several company owned iphones. WE have also implemented a mobile device management system to manage our iphones.
We setup acompany based itunes account, trying to share itunes on bank owned devices. This way i can add bank approved apps to the devices through our itunes account and push out to the iphones, and no one can download any other non bank approved apps.
it has been working ok. but recently i had one user who came in. He went to enter in his itunes account on the phone and didn't work. So then came back and my staff and myself have (as much as we can see) removed his email account itunes login from all sections in settings. and entered in our itunes account information, but when you go to the app store, and hit upgrade, it still shows his email account for itunes. I feel like i can't get all devices to keep our shared password on them without requesting user to enter password (which i am not giving them)
How can i troubleshoot his device. i tried changing password 5 times today, rebooted device, and no change.

i have an MDM application, and i push out the apps i want them to have with our IT apple id account. for some reason when two approved apps needed updating last week, they prompted him for our password. (which i told him to bring phone in and i would enter password).
but somehow he went to try to enter his personal to make it work (don't know why)
somewhere it's keeping his personal email. i went into itunes/apps and our apple id is in there.
there is nothing in icloud b/c we do not allow icloud, so that's clear.

House rent recovery configuration

My company is not giving any house rent allowance to any employee.But it has started house rent deduction from employee and the house is the company owned accommodation. How to take care of this situation.
What I did : I simply put the rent amount in Infotype 581 against company owned accommodation and not created any record in IT0008.
I'm finding the tax calculation is coming correct.But I don't know,whether I'm doing correct or not .

I had created a wagetype 3000 and in Infotype 581 against this wagetype I just put 3000 and against Rent Amount I put the rented amount (Let it 100000/-).So system is doing the correct housing perk calculation and also it is deducting the rented amount from salary.But error is coming at the time of my FI posting,So with which symbolic account I have to link this wagetype 3000.

Hello, I have a (Company owned) iPhone 4 with upgraded IOS5 installed. I have 345 pics , several videos, notes, contacts, and my favorite songs(68 of them) in there. I must return the phone to my former employer. I have purchased a new phone with an SD card capable of 8GB external storage. I also purchased an 8GB flash/thmb drive per advice of the Verizon retail store that stated they can only transfer pics/contacts and failed to even do that after a 2 hour wait. so, how do I transfer my data from old iphone to new Gallaxy S Fascinate? You can import photos to the computer http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. Contacts and calendar can be synced to the computer as well to a supported application. How to transfer them from there is something I don't know, unless the new device supports getting contacts from those programs. You can also sync your calendar and contacts to gmail and then you would be able to sync them to the Droid that way. songs are in iTunes and are saved on your computer if you have them added there. However they could be in AAC version which would mean you would have to convert them for the Droid. You might want to go to an Android forum, they may have information there about how to do it, since many Apple owners have switched to Android.
