1. No. Sky won't permit transfer of ownership of a Sky account.
2. Yes, you'd have to give notice to cancel, and your parents would have to start their own subscription to Sky. I don't think Sky would guarantee that your parents would be able to keep your number. I'd check with Sky about downtime/lead time.
3. For access to new customer benefits, you would have to be away for at least 12 months.

How do I leave the FIrefox study?

My 4 yr old clicked on something and somehow joined a Firefox Test Pilot Team. Their was a brief overview on the screen including, "Test Pilot will pop up a notification when a study needs your attention." I have followed the links, in hopes of finding an opt out...no success. Can anyone tell me how to get my daughter out of the Test Pilot Team? If it were in my own profile, I wouldn't mind participating but I don't want my daughter getting confused about things that pop up asking for replies

After years of business - multiple lines for kids-they leave the nest & I'm punished because I only have 1 phone

I have had verizon for years, through shared lines with kids, hubby...pay..pay..pay. The last couple of years the kids have left, hubby has a phone from work so I am left paying a fortune for a single phone. 2 years ago I finally upgraded to the cheapest smart phone they had and got the infamous unlimited data. Now I am left with a $100/month phone bill for let's face it an old lady who usually has under 100 talk minutes, about 100 text messages and some data useage for facebook, ebay and a little web browsing, once in a while a music download. Really????? $100 a month and from what I understand the only way you can keep you unlimited data now is basically pay an huge price for a new phone - get a contract for 2 years for a cheaper phone but you lose your unlimited data (just in case it turns out I love my new i-phone or droid and decide to use it - which is actually what I pay to do)
I have sales people saying well add your kids or your husband on to your account and SHARE...it will SAVE you money.. I like my kids to pay their own bills and why would I want to get hubby a phone when he has a free phone with everything?
I just don't get it...know I'm old but back in the day....lol .... the longer you were with a company the more they wanted to keep you and would try to keep you. Now they know everyone has to have a phone and they know us old people panic at the idea of going to a new company we know nothing about so they got us. Still think its a shame customers that stay for years should be rewarded not punished.

You may want to search the forum for all the threads about loyalty. But to warn you ahead of time, it will make you feel worse, not better.
I understand wanting your kids to pay their own bills, but it may, indeed, save them and you money if you combined your lines into one account. Everyone could pay their share, with the account owner (whoever you decided that to be) ensuring that the bill was paid each month. Lots of folks have their accounts set up this way.
There's always the option to downgrade to a basic phone if you aren't using the features of your smartphone.

How about SPACES on the iPhone?

Basically I am thinking of a SPACES-like APP for the iPhone. Different APP environments for different locations. This dawned on me because preparing a trip Stateside I eyed a bunch of US-centric Apps, some free and some not, and I am thinking that if I get them all I'll end up short of fifty APPS installed most of which I'll only use for a brief span of time while ending up with clutter on my iphone desktop.
IF an APP like Spaces, which I would see as part of the OS to tell the truth, were to be I would just switch location, for example, and I would have all of the APPS I want to see while in the States, and all the ones I want to see when I am in china and so forth.
Has Apple ever thought about this? It is a pleonastic question, I am pretty sure that if I thought about it, Apple MUST have to

It's different in the way that one ends up with 15 pages of apps. Instead of just the two (or even one) that it is needed. And if you need to get to the one in the middle? The Paris one. You don't remember the exact number so you end up flipping back and forth.
I still think a general setting to switch locations would be better ... you made your point ... I am not convinced and I told you why ... now I need somebody from Apple answering

Mozilla is looking to have a browser of sorts for iOS in next while however it will likely not use the same browser and JavaScript engines that say Firefox uses on desktop and Android due to Apple restrictions. Many of the so called browsers are shells.

Mozilla did have a experimental browser for iPad back in mid 2012 called Junior, however it did not use the Gecko engine due to the restrictions.

How do I restore the settings for apps using Time Machine?

I believe there are problems with items within the Library Folder inside the System Folder. For example, there are two "Frameworks" Folders, but one has "(from old Mac)" after its name. I dare not try to remove or even move either.
Back in the day of OS 9, you could modify something, then search for it by "Last Modified" Date, and find where Apple has hidden itscontents. It's not so easy in OS X. I've had some success using Pondini's Time Machine FAQ's, though. Here is how I got to this problem:
Our family MacBook died. After getting a repair estimate of $500 to $700 "if it's the Logic Board," we decided to replace it. We purchased a MacBook Pro running Lion. (Later, we brought it to an Apple Store and were quoted $435 in house or $280, but they would have to send it out. Incredible repair: Logic Board, Top & Bottom Case, Super Drive, Battery, all for $280. No wonder they're #1). I pulled the Hard Dive out, erased it, and installed an older operating system, but during the repair they installed 10.6.
Restored the MBP from the TM backup of the MacBook. OK
The Macbook is repaired and the store showed me how to restore the data from the TM backup.
Restart and the passwords do not work due to restoring a 10.6 machine from a 10.7 backup.
Tech support guides me through resetting an admin password using the password utility on the install DVD.
changed the other passwords inside of Accounts in System Preferences. Then changed the password or the other Admin.
Restart, get a circle with a line through it.

Restart, half my Apps do not work.
Tech support says to re-install 10.6.
I did but I thought it would erase and install but it just re-installed 10.6.
Most Apps work, except iPhoto. Mail is OK sending but only receives on one of 3 accounts.
Is there a fix for iPhoto & Mail? If not, I would plan to erase and use the finder to drag the user folders from TM to the MacBook. Can I just drag the Apps too? How about all of the settings for those Apps?

If you don't keep a backup, you can't restore your machine to any state except the state in which you received it, brand new, with none of your own stuff on it. That makes a pretty convincing argument for backing up, doesn't it?

Opening A Link In New Window, While Leaving The Existing Webpage Open

When I click on a link in a page, I want a new window to open with the contents of that link, leaving the 'linked from' page still open on my monitor. I don't want the existing 'linked from' page disappearing when the 'linked to' page opens on top of it. I don't think that in Internet Explorer, which I was using before, that the previous page disappeared in the way it does on Safari. I continually find myself losing the page I want to keep while I open another. In Preferences>General, I have tried to set Safari up to work the way I describe above, but I can't seem to find the right default procedure.

How do I leave the departure window open, and below the arrival window, when clicking a link from the former to the latter?

the only way I know of the is to go to file and click for a new Window.
Sounds like tabs maybe your thing, from Safari's Helpviewer. for more info look there.......

If you select the Auto-Click checkbox for a folder in the bookmarks bar, then you can open all the bookmarks in the folder in tabs by clicking the folder name in the bookmarks bar.
To open a webpage in a new tab, choose New Tab from the File menu and type the address for the page.
To close a tab, click the close button in the tab.
To quickly switch between tabs, press Command-Shift-[ and Command-Shift-].
To show a webpage that is in a tab and close all other tabs, hold down the Option key and click the close box in the tab you want to remain open.
When you click a link in a page you are viewing in a tab, the page opens in the current tab. Click the Back and Forward buttons in the address bar to scan pages you have opened in a tab.
If you choose a page from the History or Bookmarks menu, the page opens in the current tab.

I'm on devsuite 10g. I'm using webutil to download files from DB using webutil function db_to_client.
What I need is to check if the file already exists in the client directory and if yes to display a message to ask the user if he wants to overwrite or no. How can I make this???

Are you unable to uninstall it from the app manager in the main settings menu? How about long pressing the app in the app drawer and dragging up to the notification bar? Does the app have a phone admin property checked in Settings-Security-Phone administrators? Sometimes, if it does, apps will not uninstall until unchecked.

How to batch disable the controls

In a lot of occassions of my program, I need to disable more than 20 controls and enable them later. Is there a way to disable/enable them in a shot so that I won't need to do that one by one? How about locking out the whole front panel?

You can get the refs of all the vi controls in two steps : ask first for a reference to the front panel, then for the refs of all the controls/indicators.
Then you will be able to enable or disable all the controls at once.
See the attached example (where there is something wrong... will you find what ?)
