But now with the CC and the new "Adobe Installer" I can't seem to see how to capture the install file.

Sorry, neither Firefox or Thunderbird have that type of password protection. There's an extension available to add it to both, but it is easily by passed. And is not available from the official Mozilla Add-ons website

I know how to specifry the install directory for the "public install directory" for the JRE, but what about the JDK directory? I don't want to put it on the "C" drive .

You can use something like this: jre-6-rc-windows-i586.exe /s INSTALLDIR=D:\java\jre
Then JRE is installed into D:\java\jre

As you can tell, I totally disagree with apple on this.... It should be a DEFAULT that the ability to make a DVD start up disc is always there... not the other way around.
I have spent hours on this upgrade... upgrading the Snow Leopard, upgrading to Lion, Installing new hardware, re-installing new hardware, re-installing the old hardware...
Some people, like myself, have the ability to DIY, but I don't have the incredible highly detailed inside knowledge that I apparently have to possess...

Installing OCCI for visual studio2010?

I dont understand how i'm supposed to install OCCI for visual studio 2010 when the download includes the following items
1.) a .lib file
2.) .dll
3.) .sym
i understand how to use .lib files but in order to use it u need the .h file that includes the function prototypes located in the .lib...can anyone explain what im doing wrong or how i can acccess the functions and structures located inside the .lib file included with the OCCI download?

I can only speak for VS2008, but maybe it helps.
In the project properties windows / configuration properties / linker / aditional dependencies you shoud have: oraocci11.lib (for release), oraocci11.lib (for debug).
Also you should set your Visual Studio paths (inclusion, reference, libraries)
