How anonymous users should login

Hi
I want to gather anonymous feedback from users.
I have enabled anonymous login on my sharepoint site based on (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/grant-permissions-to-anonymous-users-HA101805390.aspx)
But my users are user domains and they are logged in automatically. So how users can login anonymously?

I'm working in a AD domain and my users are domain users. So when they open our main site they should be logged in automatically. But when they want to enter their feedbacks, now they should be anonymous.
However I solved my problems by what I found here:

The abstract is this:
Create a list for users to enter their data. Create a second list with similar columns. Create a workflow to copy important data from 1st list into the 2nd one and then delete record from 1st list(these should be done in an impersonate step). All records
in the 2nd list are created by the the author of the workflow.

How many users can login?

I have a couple of quick questions about using Forms at my job:
We currently have a Creative Cloud account for our graphic designer. If we add Forms to the existing CC account, can someone else login with the same UN/PW from a different computer, without disconnecting our designer?
Or do we need to purchase Forms under a separate/new account in order to not disconnect our designer from her current CC account?
How many users and admins are included with each Forms plan?

How many users can login simultanisly in Fast user mode?

at one time, i saw in one of the threads that only 3 users can log on to the Mac using Fast user switching. i tried that, and sure enough, i couldn't log in more than 3 users at one time.
today, i tried logging in with 10 users, and i had no problem.
was that ever an issue with fast user switching, or was it only my computer?

Anonymous Users can see pages and files only about 10 minutes

We have set Anonymous access permission to an KM repository. After the portal restarting very strange things are happen. An user who belongs to the Anonymous Users group can see and open pages (created by WPC), files and hyperlinks. But after about ten minutes of such browsing a login screen begins to appear. Since that time the user canu2019t see and open any file of the repository.
We have accurately read and applied recommendations of the Note 837898 - How to configure anonymous CM access.
All URL Generator Service properties are exactly satisfied recommended values (e.g. /irj/go/*).
We have granted Read permissions to all required repositories and recourses for Everyone and Anonymous Users groups (checked End User fieled as well).
The site navigation structure and pages have been developed by mean of Web Page Composer (WPC).
Security Zone (no safety) of WPC has been set with Read permission of Everyone and Anonymous Users groups.
How to work around this?

Please read the following clarification of our situation.
During setting up access of anonymous user to Web Page Composer pages we need to use Web Content repository that is not in the Documents repository.
As is in the note 837898 there are no prefixes for WPC pages in the URL Generator Service.
So the an anonymous user get login screen then attempt to access any WPC pages of the Web Content repository.
How to achieve that content in the Web Content repository get as Content Link property the value '/irj/go/km/docs/wpccontent/u2026', rather than '/irj/servlet/prt/prtroot/...'?

As far as I know an anonymous user doesn't provided with logon ticket at all. You can check this in the SDN SAP Help.

Anonymous User Overview

Hi,
We currently have a portal with several registered users but would like to grant access to guests to give them a 'read only' view of the portlal. I've heard of the anonymous user which sounds like the ideal thing but can't find an overview of how the anonymous user works.
Search results just reveal methods that can be used and what level of content personalisation a tracked anonymous, untracked anonymous.... users get. Could anyone point me in the right direction for info on how to set up the login, web.xml etc.

Why would you need your anonymous user to login?
If you are running in streaming mode, you could entitle certain portlets to the "anonymous" role, which is a built-in role. Those portlets would only show for anonymous users. Other portlets can be entitled to specific roles that you create, or to the OOTB "Authenticated user" role.

hi. Here we are asking a stupid Q on very first post. How can we have an anonymous 'User i.d." for discussion group only? Seem to be stuck with our regular old original Apple i.d. I see how that can be changed, but don't really want to cuz just want to have my posts signed with a more anonymous i.d. name. Should be simple to do, but not obvious to us now.

The Alias of the account you are using, cannot be changed, but you can create a new Discussions Account, with an Alias that you prefer.
You cannot delete your present account. Just stop using it, after you have created a new one.
You can use all of the same info in the new account, Email address, User name, etc, just be sure to insert a new Alias of your choosing.
But your Level(0), Points(0), Total Posts(2), Total Posts Online(2) and Registered Date(12/19/06), will not be transferred.
In the new account, your Post Counts, Points, & Level Status will all start at 0. Your Registered Date will be the date you create the new account.
Your old account, with your previous counts & level, will still be viewable, under the old Alias.
(You really don't have anything accumulated, to be concerned about though.)
After you quit using the old account, those 2 posts, will be archived. What that means is, that if there are no additional responses in the Threads they reside in, the Topics will get continually pushed down on the Topics list. After a certain amount of time, maybe 2 to 6 months, the Threads will be locked, so no responses can be entered. But the Threads will not disappear.
Threads in heavily trafficked Forums, may be archived more rapidly than those in areas, with less activity.
The Topics that you started using the old account, will show your Old Alias, in the Author field of a main forum page, but eventually, readers will have to keep going to the succeeding pages to view them.
If someone were to do a Discussions Search, using these parameters:
Restrict by Category or Forum: All Categories
Restrict by Date Range: All
Restrict by Username: Your Old Alias
all of your posts, created since about 11/13/05, would be found.
To create a new account,
Log out of Discussions. You also may have to delete the Apple Cookies in your browser preferences, but I'm not sure this is necessary. Then follow either of these instructions.

Anonymous user not able to login

HI,
I have role1 which belongs anonymous group and under this role1 I have some iViews which are set for anonymous authentication type.
in the default page using register Now , If I created a user with userid and password , I am able to login to the Ep , but except the default top nav bar none of my iviews which are set for anonymous authentication are visible ..
Have I missed anything ?
After I have assgining the newly created user in the anonymous list by editing "Direct editing" of UM configuration he is able to see those iViews.
But I want my portal be exposed to the user who is regsiter using register now link of the login page.
instead me going and assign the user who is registered in the reguster now link page..
how to achieve this ..
if I have do some coding activity , which is the related par files, or it would be helpful if some can get me the code snippet to achieve this

I am not also familair with the self registration functionality scope. When I register with thru self registration. after successful creation of userid , it enters EP portal with just the Top level content Like welcome note , help and logoff link and also an empty tray. Whats the point in showing an empty EP portel page with logoff button. Instead What I feel is if there is some content which are meant for anonymous user ( which is obviously harmless content ) should be displayed.
Never mind, I would like my portal to display the content which are meant for the anonymous user.
which is the par file I need to change .
my functionjality is something like this .
after successful creation of userid thru self registration I need to add the newly created user to anonymous user group. amd should display the protal content meant for anonymous user group

How can I set the default home page in Firefox 4 for all users that login to a PC on a Win 7 PC?

I work at a community college in upstate NY.
We use Firefox as the default browser at our institution and we have always set the default homepage to be our homepage for all users that login to the PC. We had a procedure to to that that worked with Windows XP and FF 3 or earlier
We would do the following:
1. go to: c:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\FireFox\Profiles\<profile_name>\prefs.js
2. Add the line: user_pref (“browser.startup.homepage”,”http://www.genesee.edu”);
3. Copy the Folder
C:\Documents & Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla
To
C:\Documents & Settings\Default User\Application Data\Mozilla
4. Restart the computer
We're going to Win 7 and Firefox 4 and things seem to be different in terms of files and file structure. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

Anonymous User Login

Hi All,
I have an issue with 'Forgot Password' button in the end user login. When a Forgot Password button is clicked, a Question Login workflow will trigger (I think I am right?) .Now I would like to customize the 'Question Login' workflow as per my requirements, but unfortunately I am not, I modified the system configuration object, but still with no luck I am not able to customize that workflow.
So I thought of using anonymous login page and I can launch my own workflow as per my requirements. I have registered my workflow at 'anonymous end user tasks'. and I try to launch the anonymous login page using the url 'http://localhost:8080/idm/user/anonlogin.jsp'. I am getting the following errors.
An unrecoverable error has occurred processing the request. Contact your system administrator.
Syslog ID = LG-1111-024933.
Only the Reset Administrator may access this view.
I don't know, where I am doing wrong. For the first time I am trying to use anonymous login page.
Did anybody faced similar problems?
Can anybody please post some points, like what is the procedure to use a Anonymous login page?

Well, first, I visited Configure > User Interface, and enabled Anonymous Enrollment.
Next, I went to user/login.jsp, and saw "Request Account". I clicked on it, and up popped the user/anonEnrollment.jsp page. (I was looking at using this for one of our requirements; turned out I didn't need it, and did something else).
Anyway, a quick check with Live HTTP Headers for Firefox shows that the post was directly to anonEnrollment.jsp; anonEnrollment.jsp has this at the top:

}Not a huge amount of help. However, it does establish that there is an "getAnonymousUser" method, which is documented to return "the currently registered anonymous user name if any". And reading the Workflows, Forms, and Views manual, it states that the anonymous main page is for "... when a user who does not have a Identity Manager account logs in, an Identity Manager user object is created ...". Basically, if you're using pass through auth, and have a source system that will let a user authenticate, they can then set themselves up.
So, I visited "anonmain.jsp" after clearing all cookies, and up popped "anonlogin.jsp", with a login box. I entered "anonymous", and lo!, I was logged in, and saw the anonymous user menu. In other words, I was "provisionally" logged in with an account that doesn't really exist (anonymous).
However, I had to provide that extra bit of information, namely, my "fake" user name of "anonymous". I don't know how you'd do that without JSP customization.
Basically, "anonymous" means "has a username, but we don't have an account", rather than "truely anonymous" as near as I can tell. The system will do it for you in the case of "Request Account" (the generated login page has some Javascript code to redirect to anonEnrollment.jsp), but it doesn't seem to be an exposed API.
You might get somewhere with customizing the "Request Account" string in the messages catalogue, and then customizing the anonymous enrollment workflow.

How to view a BI query with anonymous user in the portal

do you have sso configured between portal and BW server, if yes the authentication pop up should not come.
if you dont want to do sso between portal and bw server and still want to logon to BW query with anonymous user,
in you bw server go to transaction sicf and navigate to DEFAULT_HOST->SAP->BW->BEX and double click on bex node in the resulting window, log on details section provide a default userid/password

How to redirect user from login page to "Set Challenge question" page

How to redirect user from login page to "Set Challenge question" page (NOT custom page) after 3 un successful password attempts?
Meaning when user types wrong password 3 times they will be redirected to set Challenge question page. If user answers the challenge question then password reset page should be appeared other wise (after remaining 3 un successeful challenge question answers) account should be locked out.

Thanks for your answer. Let me ellaborate more on the requirement here.
- Password Policy and Lost Password management are set up in the identity system
- Configure login tries allowed= 5. Verify accout is lock out after 5 unsucessful login.
This is what need to achieve.
1) If a user attempts to login 3(not 5) times using an incorrect login credential he/she should be redirected to set challenge question (security question) page.
2) Then if the user attempts (remaining) 2 times incorrect challenge answer then his/her account should be locked out.
3) If he/she answers the challenge answer correctly then he/she should be redirected to password reset page.
Is this possible?
