How are add-ons billed?

Hi,
I'm doing some research for our company both for our own use and also the possibility of providing some of our software as add-ons in your marketplace. One thing I wasn't able to figure out from your websites is how do add-ons get billed? Is it always based
on consumption or do you also allow a fixed priced add-on regardless of usage?
For example, if we want to have multi-factor authentication for all our users, do we purchase a "license" for each user and they can logon as often as they like for the same price or do I add multifactor authentication to our company's
subscription and get billed each time MFA gets used?
This is really important to our budget plans for some of the interesting addons that we think we might want. It is also important to our business planners who are thinking about whether it makes sense to offer some of our software as add-ons in the Azure
marketplace. Dealing with consumption based billing is extremely unattractive to us; we'd rather just have a fixed subscription price and the customer can use all they want so long as they have an active subscription.

As far as I know, the windows add-ons are provided by the partner of the azure, and Partners determine prices and payment methods, I think you could find these information at the specific app service, if you have any confuse, you could also contact with

How are add-ons installed if unknown sources are unchecked?

I leave unknown sources unchecked on my Android devices, but that does not seem to hinder installing Firefox add-ons. I thought that if it is unchecked, non-Google play apps could not install, & since add-ons added not from the Google store, aren't they unknown?

I've migrated my WIN 7 desktop profile to the Microsoft Surface Pro (Win 8). I copied the profile over, and everything seemed to come over fine, except for my add-ons. None of them came over. Are they stored somewhere else, or do they need to be downloaded again? TIA for any help.

Also in this article it is mentioned:

These files will be regenerated when you start Firefox. Note that some extensions store data in additional files in the profile, usually at the top of the directory. You'll need to move them separately.''
If above clues would not help you sort it out, I believe you should just go and reinstall them.

Which are add-ons, extensions, or plugins

There is a useless non-answer ("Add-ons are like apps") which goes on to ignore extensions and plug-ins.
What are the differences between add-ons, extensions, and plug-ins? Some use the terms interchangeably, but that is not right, since some usually show up under different window & menu lists. The Tools>Add-ons menu show all three, including Add-ons!?
Beginners or non-programmer users want to know!

Normally, when you try to install an extension from the Mozilla Add-ons site, you get a progress bar that drops down temporarily from the address bar, and then a pop-up dialog asking you to approve the installation. Do you get either of those or just nothing happens?

Could you test with the avast! extension disabled in case it is blocking these normal actions? You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then find avast! on the right side and click Disable.
Often a link will appear above a disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Any difference? Are other sites still a problem?

Upgrading Enterprise Manager from 10.2.0.5 to 11.1 (What are add-ons?)

I am about to upgrade our Oracle Enterprise Manager OMS from 10.2.0.5 to 11.1. I'm trying to figure out which document to use. I have the SQL Server Plugin installed on our OMS and I'm wondering if this is concidered an add-on. If this is the case I should follow the document: Oracle enterprise manager grid control advanced installation and configuration guide and follow: upgrading enterprise manager grid control with add-ons? Correct?

JAs 12C is also launched , may be you can wait for some time and directly go for 12C. Because in 10.2.0.5 and 11.1 , we don't have much difference functionality wise.

They are stacked using the Stacker class with a VM arg of "stack-add-on-streams" Chaining is accomplished using the ChainLink class and an argument of "link-add-on-streams"

we have installed Add- on A in ECC 5.0 system and going to install the next one -lets say B. We are not sure that these two add- ons will work properly together...
- Can you tell pls how works add- ons inside of system?
- Is it change structure of some tables?
- How many add-ons in maximum can be in one system?
- Where i can find information about compatibility of N add-ons in one system?
At the moment i do not know how will work together Baseline and Automative? and do not know if in one possible to have for exp. HR CEE for two different countries?

functionally independent and they follow the solution guidelines, then they should
be interoperable. You can find the solution certification guidelines here on SDN
under the ICC section: these rules cover points like namespaces, event handling,

Finding IE Add Ons & Extensions

Chrome is currently my preferred browser but I recently noticed that it takes a lot of my computer resources to run Chrome. I truly beleive in what Microsoft is trying to accomplish with their hardware (cell phones, tablets and X BOX). The main complaint

How integrate add-onsin the distributive of firefox 4

How integrate add-ons(for example, flashgot) to distributive of firefox 4 for automatic install . In version 3.6.X I put unpacked xpi to directory \nonlocalized\extensions\. Now it don't work. Firefox reports the incompatibility of these , although they are manually installed properly.

Use this nifty little tool to accomplish that, just look around in the settings and youll find it.

I cannot connect to the add-ons page to get new ones

When I go to Tools, add-ons, I get the "What are add-ons?" and it tells me that when I connect to the internet the panel will feature many options.
I am online why can I not connect to the add-ons page?

There have been a number of issues with server problems over the last few days. Try to go to that Mozilla page again. The issues have been intermittent and could return at any time until a final resolution is found. This forum page has also been affected by the problem(s).

Why won't the add-ons appear when I click on "Get Add-Ons"?

I've been trying to find new add-ons for Thunderbird and Firefox, but the "loading" button comes up, then a box that says "What are Add Ons" and goes into detail. Says they will show up when connected to the internet. I am connected, but nothing shows up. I don't want to have to get rid of Firefox and Thunderbird and start over again. Someone must know something that is going on with this. Any help is appreciated.

Service disruption currently, and performance problems yesterday and today.

Right now I'm using version 3.6 somthing, but I would love to update, but I'm nervous cause last time I did my Add ons and Ext that I use didn't work. How would I know if my add ons and exts are compatible with a new version?

I'm using version 3.6.24 (whatever the latest update was that just took place 2 days ago for the 3.6 Version) What I would like to know is if I update to a newer version like 7 or 8, whichever is not a Beta, how will I know if my add ons and extensions will work? Last time I had updated to a newer version, non of my favorite add ons or extentions would work, so I went back to 3.6. Can you please help cause something needs to be done cause my Firefox crashes a lot when Adobe is being used.
I also don't know if any of my add ons are crashing my computer. Either Adobe crashes or my whole computer crashes. Can someone please help me?
