How are SNP order dates decided?

Hi All,
Where do we maintain the settings to tell SNP to generate orders(PRs/STRs/Planned orders) at the begining of the period OR at the end of the period OR in the mid of the period?

Manotosh

Hi,
While maintaining  Transaportation Lanes  (Transaction: /SAPAPO/SCC_TL1   ), in the u201CMeans of Transportu201D detail screen, you have u201CPeriod  Factoru201D field .  This Period Factor field is used  for Calculating the Availability Date/Time (Factor used by the system to calculate the availability date/time of a receipt element within a time period (bucket) ).
Its use is as below:
The system determines the exact availability date/time of the receipt elements within a period, by adding a time interval (that it gets by multiplying the period factor with the period length) to the start time of the period. You can enter a factor between 0 and 1, where 0 is the start of the period, 0.5 the middle, and 1 the end of t
he period. When calculating the availability date/time, the system takes into consideration all weekdays, meaning that it does not take into consideration any days that have been defined as non-workdays in the calendars.
The following applications can take the period factor into account:
u2022 Heuristic in Supply Network Planning (SNP)
The SNP optimizer does not consider any period factor.
u2022 Period lot-sizing procedure in Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
There is one more field u201CBucket Offsetu201D and this is also used  alon with the above field value, if required.
I hope this gives you insight.

  • How to change order data in APO

    Hi,
I am keen to know on ways to change order data in APO say order category BI.....we want to change date by taking input from cif user exit APOCF006.We need this information for the ongoing  project.
I know two options...1) using BAPIs  2) Not very sure about this option ...Function Module:/SAPAPO/OMORDER*CHANGE.
Could you  please help to have better understanding on ways to change orders  in APO?
    Thank you
    Best Regards
    Nilesh Patil

    Hello Rishi,
    Thanks for your reply.
Demand node ofr purchase Ordre( BF) in SNP is Conrel( BI category). We want to change date( start date) at this demand node . We will get this date from R3 using say non cif method.
There are few ways to do it....
    1) If we ignore Menas of Transport( so essentially transit time or lead time in tlane)  in that purchase order  and change this requirement date directly using purchase order save BAPI( requirement node) ......Question will system allow us to do so and even if it allows us to do so will it casue some problem( inconsistencies) later?
    2) Second option I am thinking is...
For one product we maiantain GR processing time in product location master and this is considered while determining strat date of BI (Start date=  Delivery date -GR procesisng time- means of Transport lead time - some other times ....). For this product let's say we have 100 Purchase Orders (BF). We have requirement that each of these POs should get separate treatment while calculating Start date. It means start date can be different for different POs and once we change it forcibly then it shoulkd not change unless we again change it forcibly.
We are thinking to change GR processing time at runtime wheneveer Purchase Order is changed. So if GR time in product location master is 1 day ....for different Purchase Orders different GR processing time can be considered. Say for Po1...its 2 day...for P2 its 4 day.
Or similar way we  can change transit time as given in means of transport in tlanes.
Will appreciate your or anyone's comment
    Thank you

  • How are APO/R3 dates calculated

    Hi All,
In APO, for a PO, we have ' Requirement date', 'Availability date' and in R3, we have reqmnt/rect date and delivery date.
How are these dates calculated from a reference?
My understanding- System takes the requirement date( date on which there is a reqmnt for the material), subtracts a time equal to GR+GI time and arrives at Availability date. the same Availability date is transferred to R3 as 'Reqmnt/Rect date'. But how is the delivery date in R3 calculated?
suppose I have a requirement date in APO, what are the details that I need to calculate successive dates?
    Regards
    Manotosh

    Hi,
I have one confusion pls. clarify.
Requirement date=Date of demand on which material is required.
Delivery date= Date of demand- planned delivery time /transportation duration
Availability date= Delivery date+GR process time.
In product veiw in APO you will see as  availability date and receipt date.

  • How are the subst data tags used in Portal Server

I noticed this tags in the authentication pages, where are they stored? How do I modify their value? How are they used? A reference to the admin or programers guide is plenty I just couldn't find one.
    Thanks!

They are defined in the auth module properties files (however I don't think any are defined in the product as it ships). The tags are of the form:
    <subst data="key">othervalue</subst>
If the key is defined, the value of the key is substituted for othervalue, otherwise it is left untouched.

  • How are incomplete orders in MWM optimized in ORS?

Customer is adding a new division to MWM. This division works FO's differently than the other divisions. The new division will allow orders to be open indefinetly, where as the existing division requires the FO's to be completed within 3 days. To fully optimize the system (ORS and MWM), we want to know how to handle this. Currently, their MWM 3.0 system holds incomplete orders without sending the completion transaction to their CIS. It works for them because the orders have to be completed within a tight window. The new division is completely different. They would like to use the same order types across the company. How will ORS optimize the routes if these incomplete orders are still within MWM? What can MWM do in it's division, district, service area tables to help with the optimization?
(We are upgrading from 3.0 to 1.5)

I'll probably need just a little better understanding of what you need to accomplish.
Remember two things about MWM regarding upgrading to v1.5 and ORS.
    1. All orders need an early start date / time and an end date / time. ORS will only schedule orders whose end date time
are still in the event horizon that was set up when you configured ORS. That means that ORS will NOT schedule any
orders whose end date / time is in the past (expired). Keeping an order indefinitely in ORS is technically not possible
because you always must have a specified end date. Of course your end date could be really long (like a year).
    2. MWM has a configurable option that enables the system to send or not send incompletes to the host.
This is a server table config setting and should be listed in your MWM configuration guide. Remember,
though, that this setting is global. It doesn't care what type of order that you are working or what division
it is in. The setting affects all orders.
Maybe you can digest this information and get back to me with exactly how you'd like to handle orders for the new division ?

  • How are the VLANs Data stored in the VTP Domain

    Hello All,
I'm confused a bit in the VTP Domains.
Now, I have 3 Switches in the network, with the modes below:
    Switch
    Mode
    Switch A
    Server
    Switch B
    Transparent
    Switch C
    Client
Now, I know that the Server and Transparent stores the VLANs in a VLAN.dat file in the NVRAM. What about the client? Does it keep the VLANs in the RAM and when rebooted starts getting the VLANs again from the Server?
    Best Regards,
    Islam M. Nadim.

    Hi,
With all recent IOS versions, switches always keep the VLAN database stored in the vlan.dat, regardless of their VTP mode (server, client, or transparent). Some old sources say that clients did not maintain their own vlan.dat file and kept the VLAN database in RAM only. This may have been the case with CatOS and/or very old IOSes, but it is not true anymore.

  • Convert SNP Orders to PPDS Orders in CIF

We have a requirement to segregate the orders created in SNP and scheduled in ECC.  I know this can be done with the Production Planned and Production Confirmed key figures based on ATP Category as EE is for SNP and AJ, AK, AL, AI are PPDS.  The complication is we are not using PPDS for short term scheduling; therefore ECC will control the short term scheduling.  We are currently removing the Firm indicator on ECC for any SNP (EE) order using a user exit.  This allows for seeing the SNP orders as not scheduled (not firmed) in ECC.  When the scheduler firms the planned order in ECC we want the order to show in the production confirmed key figure in SNP.  This can be done by setting the EE Firmed to the Production Confirmed key figure, but now the SNP Planner has SNP Orders on two different key figures.  Therefore, our requirement is to change any SNP order (EE Category) to a PPDS order if it is firmed.   This way Production Planned are SNP orders only and Production Confirmed are scheduled or created ECC orders.
We have tried using APOCF004 to change the APOAPPL from a 3 to a 1 and BADI ORDER_INB_MODIFY_AFTER_MERGE changing cs_ordkey-appli from 4 to 2.  Neither of these options worked.  Possibly because of the difference in structures and number range, the system is not doing the convert.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi,
Please check the settings in the heuristics  SAP_SNP_SNGL(Individual Conversion SNP --> PP/DS) or SAP_SNP_MULT, whatever you are using.
PPDS horizon is relevent for the conversion and SNP horizon may not be relevant.
    The details are as below:
The conversion horizon for SNP to PPDS is decided as below.
    Conversion Hprizon
The offset and the PP/DS horizon together define the conversion horizon, that is, the period in which you want to convert Supply Network Planning (SNP) orders and Capable-To-Match Planning (CTM) orders into Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) orders:
    Conversion horizon = PP/DS horizon + offset
You must specify a positive value for the offset. The conversion horizon begins on today's date and continues for the relevant number of calendar days into the future. So that the system converts an SNP or CTM order into a PP/DS order, the start date/time of the order must be within the conversion horizon. If you want to extend the conversion horizon to the end of the SNP or CTM planning period in which the end of the conversion horizon lies, you enter a daily buckets profile.
    Hope this helps.

  • Sales Order dates for delivery

I am a newbie to most of SAP and was wondering how are all the dates such as loading, goods issue etc... calculated from the delivery date? Assuming its based on sold to and delivering plant where is this config done and what is logic?

    hi
u can maintain those settings in OVXD
    or
you can maintain Pick/pack time & Loading time in
    SD>basic function>Delivery scheduling & transportation scheduling-->maintain durartion.
To maintain transportation lead time & transit time it can be done in logistic execution>shipping>basic shipping function>routes> define routes-->define routes & stages.
you can see the logic below:
when you are creating sales order first system will go with backward scheduling if it is not reach the dates then system will go for forward scheduling.
    Backward Scheduling:
Reqested delivery date - Transit time = Goods issue date
Goods issue date - loading time = Loading date
Loading date - Transportation lead time or pick/pack time = material availability date.
In case Material availability date fall beyond requested date system will perform forward scheduling
    Forward Scheduling:
Loading date = Material availabilty date + pick/pack time
Goods issue date = Loading date + Loading time
Requested delivery date = Goods issue date + Transit time
Delievry scheduling will be started only from the material availability date i.e., system will first determine the material availability date and then do scheduling. By default Standard SAP system does Backward Scheduling in case material availability falls beyond the required delivery date system will do forward schedluing

  • Planned order dates

    Hi Guru's,
please explain how the planned order dates are calculated.
in MTS scenario if a delivery exists and another planned order is raised the system is not calculating dates as per dates given in the Material master.it is cheduling the order depending on the previous delivery date.
Please explain me How it is calculating the dates in planned order
    Thanks
    Satya

    Hi,
The scheduling is based on your MRP parameters. If you select the basic dates scheduling while running MRP, the system will consider the material master in house production time. It will not consider the routing standard values.
If you select the lead time scheduling, the system will explode the routing and it will calculate the operation time based on the standard values which we have maintained in the routing.
Always there will be some difference between these two type of scheduling. Lead time scheduling will be more accurate than the basic date scheduling.

  • Sale order date determination

    hi friends,
kindly explain, how the sale order date is determined.
on what criteia it is determined?

    Hi Divya,
Go to TCODE VOV8--in the functionality of sales document go to Requested Delivery date/Pricing Date/Purchase order date.
in it there is a field called "Propose PO Date".if we chk this the system will take current date as the PO date.

The order that fields appear in the request object is somewhat arbitrary. If you want to control the order, then you can reference each field by name rather than iterating through the collection. Or, you can try this method:

How to remove a text in browser: Some plug ins used by this page are out of date. It occur in every page when I surfing. I am aware that is a threat but when I tried to install an update of flash the userinit.dll file from windows registry had gone and I had to reset everything.

a error during the flash update might be itself an indication of malware active on the pc. the browser is your door to the web - therefore it's very important to keep it and all plugins up to date in order to keep your pc & the integrity of your personal data safe.

  • Qry:How to get different price for each price list (variable area) in order

1-How to get different price for each price list (variable area) in order for sale. for the opportunity to display and select multiple prices.
2- I add a location store from a table in line item and I want to see this area in order,.
    I 'm created 2 field location(item line and order), 1 table location
    I tried this for exemple : select $ [userfieldlocation.OITW]

    Thanks Suda for your answer,
the Formatted Search for prices is OK, but for the Item locations in warehouse this is not so simple,
I must have several (at least 2) locations for the item in the Warehouse and a track of this location and search possibilities.
read carefully and imagine how (Management warehouse locations)
I added a user table '@Location' who linked to a user field 'U_Location in Item master data --> lnventory data  line and an ather user field 'U_Location' in sales order
I met the value of location in the table (list of locations for any warehouse), I select the location of each item while receiving merchandise in the user field of inventory data line (Item M data) and this value appears in the sales order 'U_Location' user field ( only the location value in the default warehouse for this Item)
    or
create an user field 'location' in Good receipt PO to fill it while receiving merchandise that appears in the sales order to give possibility to find/select the location of the item at this order and in Item master data
I think we will use all these tables
    @LOCATION
    PDN1
    OITM
    OITW
    OWHS
    RDR1
Juste a another question : where you found this and What is: ' 38.1.0 '
Is it in document (System information):Item=38 Pane=1 ??
    Thanks,
    Ouchen

  • How to transfer Sales order data from R/3 to APO!!

    Hi Techies,
I am in the process of moving some sales order data for a particular mat/loc combination in cfm1 after creating a integration model iam even activating even in R/3 but after doing this iam not able to view those sales orders in RRP3 t-code IN APO side.
Kindly let me know what is the procedure to transfer transactional data from R/3 to APO and to do enhancement in CIF which carries Transactional data .
Problem solving answers would be rewarded duly !!.
    +PKP.

    Hi PKP,
The field SPEC_STOCK has the description "Key for Special Stock Section" and is linked to schedule line of the PO. This seems to be something linked to special stock, but I am not very sure about the relevance of this field.
I do not see any related field when I check the order in RRP3 or in RRP2. In standard SAP, you would only be able to use the fields that are already visible in APO. Otherwise you need to add the field to the standard SAP t-code display (read the value from SOMEWHERE and then display it in RRP3. This is possible using Badi /SAPAPO/RRP_IO_COL). Then only you can see the values which you have populated.
If this field SPEC_STOCK already has some functionality (which it should have, though I am not sure what it is), you might not be able to use it for other purposes (since system does some validations for certain fields).
You are updating the value for this field in IT_OUTPUT internal table, you also need to add an X in the corresponding field in the internal table IT_OUTPUTX.
You could try putting this X, so that your changes are considered in CIF, but I am not sure what the impact may be, and you could get a dump also possibly. Even otherwise, since this field doesn't seem to be visible against a PO in APO, I am not sure if this would be helpful for you.
As far as I could see, I did not find any standard field which could be helpful for you.
May be if you open a fresh thread and ask for advice on how to send any custom comments for PO to APO, someone could provide some inputs.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Loading transaction data from flat file to SNP order series objects

    Hi,
I am an BW developer and i need to provide data to my SNP team.
Can you please let me know more about <b>loading transaction data (sales order, purchase order, etc.,) from external systems into order based SNP objects/structure</b>. there is a 3rd party tool called webconnect that gets data from external systems and can give data in flat file or in database tables what ever required format we want.
I know we can use BAPI's, but dont know how. can you please send any <b>sample ABAP program code that calls BAPI to read flat file and write to SNP order series objects</b>.
Please let me know ASAP, how to get data from flat file into SNP order based objects, with options and I will be very grateful.
    thanks in advance
