How best to configure Mac and Blackberry

I am about to receive a Blackberry for work which will sync with my laptop PC. At home I use Entourage on my iMac for my personal contacts and emails (gmail). Is it possible to channel both home and work e-mail, contacts and calenders onto a BB? any tips on how to begin setting this up?? Many thanks!

iSync doesn't sync with any Blackberry devices, so you'll have to use third-party software such as *PocketMac for Blackberry* or *The Missing Sync for Blackberry*.
Depending on which of those you choose to use, the support pages of the relevant developers web-site would be the best place to get advice on the setup of those products.

is enough. I'd consider partitioning it to multiple instances with that much
of memory. Lesser memory means faster GC.

I use this Logitech USB Desktop Microphone for my iMovie voice-over, GarageBand podcasting, and other general purpose voice work. It works well for that, but it is obviously not a professional music quality mic.

The simplest way to connect a mic to your G5 is via USB. That simplicity, adequate sound quality, and low price are the main reasons I chose my Logitech.

If there are, I would suggest you stay with analog microphones. I may be wrong, but from this Google search for digital microphones, it seems to me that digital microphones are largely subjects of engineering studies at this time. You might find a microphone pre-amp that takes analog microphone inputs but provides a digital output signal you could connect to your Mac's digital input if you really want or need to use your digital in port.

Pocket Mac and Blackberry 1 disappeared

I am looking for help.
I have installed Pocket Mac and the drives Blackberry 1 and 2 were there.
Later I installed the Verizon drivers for the Motorola Q so I could connect my 9530 Storm to my Mac.
It works GREAT!
But now, Blackberry 1 disappeared and I have no options to install applications on my Storm.
Is there a fix for me using pocket Mac?
I have the 9530 with the latest software and am running it on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.5.6

How best to configure a WRT54GS connected to a BEFSR81 connected to cable modem?

I know it is old gear, but it's all I have. I have an office in my home. I have a wired router (BEFSR81) which is connected to my cable modem and has seven wired connections to it: four computers, two printers and a wireless router (WRT54GS). The wired router performs DHCP service for the network: four computers (at 192.168.1 100-103). The printers are at static addresses outside the DHCP range (192.168.1.150 and 155). I want the wireless router to accept wireless connections from friends who stop by (or if I decide to go out on the porch with my laptop).
How should I configure the wireless router so that it allows wireless entities (laptops, Roku, etc.) to connect to my network. What IP address should it have off my wired router, and will my wired router's DHCP provide IP addresses to devices attaching to the network through the wireless router? For the convenience of cabling, I would prefer to have my wired router as the primary router if possible.

How to correctly configure send and receive connectors for SBS2011 exchange to connect to EOP

Hello SBS fans,
we have a customer with SBS2011 and exchange. The server email is setup for Exchange Online Protection.
It passes the Remote Connectivity Analyzer for inbound and outbound email. It shows a warning for the spf, saying it cannot find the spf record, BUT MXtool box passes everything associated with their domain name, including the spf record.
They are now getting some bounced email from yahoo servers, referencing this ip
65.55.169.249, which is a valid Microsoft ip.
I checked the bounce back email header carefully, and found a reference to an internal ip, 192.168.11.14, which just happens to be the ip of the user's desk PC!! - NOT the local addr of the sbs2011 server (which should not be there anyway)
I will guess that there is an incorrect setting in one or both of the hub transports? There is a correct smart host connector.
I am no longer sure about the other connectors!
Any ideas on this?

In about an hour AR is going to start complaining about the cost being too high and wanting cheaper alternatives. The solution to each situation exceeds the value of the computers themselves. Don't bother asking if there is another less expensive way to do it because there is not.
Expect to pay at least $50 for one.
For the 8600 there's also a Belkin USB adapter that has OS 9 drivers and I believe there are PCI card wireless adapters that work under OS9 as well (although I can't recall which ones).
*Proxim Skyline PCI wireless card, that is what WAS sold and worked in 8.6-9.x - they are no longer made and the company was taken over by a larger one that stopped all Mac related support so no new drivers were made.
*Belkin has drivers for the F5D6050 USB device. They are OK, but not as reliable as one would want. Relative to each other the OSX drivers are better than the OS9 ones.
*Smart money would buy a wireless bridge.

Sorry, but you are out of luck, my friend. Macs will recognize a Pearl in Bluetooth and pair with it, but that's about it. You may be able to use bluetooth to share the Pearl's internet connection with the Mac (I've never actually tried that) but you can't browse files on the phone or sync through BT.
The only way to sync is by USB using Pocketmac, and the only way to transfer files is to physically remove the Pearl's microSD card and connect it to your Mac with a USB card-reader.

How do you configure QuickVPN and a RV120W router?

I am extremely frustrated trying to get my new RV120W to create a VPN connection. The router's firmware is 1.0.1.3. The version of QuickVPN is 1.4.0.5.
The only success I have had so far was by downloading the Greenbow Client and following their installation guide for the RV120W. I was then able to open a tunnel using Preshared Key authorization. They did not have any instructions on how to utilize a Certificate.
I assume that QuickVPN requires a certificate but does not recognize one downloaded from the router using the download certificate option. OpenSSL and microsoft recognize the downloaded certificate as being valid but QuickVPN keeps saying that there is no certificate on my computer.

I was able to create a self-signed certificate which I uploaded to the router along with my CA certificate. The router seemed to accept these certificates as valid and QuickVPN quit complaining about no certificate when my self-signed certificate was present in the QucikVPN Client folder.

There are no messages in the router log that indicate that any sort of connection was even attempted.
My IKE and VPN Policies are using the default values for Encrytpion and Authorization.
However, I still cannot get QuckVPN to connect. Is there some document or procedure published that in a manner similar to the excellent instructions that Greenbow has published, that spells out what options and specifications must be setup on the router in order for QuickVPN to connect?
Is it possible to use the Windows VPN client? If so, what parameters must be specifed?

Hi, I just installed my Time Capsule and managed to make it work as a router, using my previous network and only by WiFi connection (it is not hooked up by ethernet). Now, TM wont find my TC... I have rebooted my Mac several times to no use. Also I had an Apple TV installed and now it wont recognize my network saying there is an error (although password and network name are ok) ... my time capsule is a little bit old, the 1T version, could that be it? How can I get Macs and PCs to share files on same network?

I have a 2009 iMac running Mavericks and a Macbook Pro retina also on Mavericks. I also have a desktop running Windows 7 Pro and a laptop on Windows 8.1. I have a cable modem (Comcast) with multiple ethernet jacks and a WIFI modem. The Macs see each other on the network but the PCs don't always see each other and do not see the Macs. Can someone run me thru the basics on networking so I can share files? Thank you.

Thanks for the link. It is a good starting point. Part of my problem is that I do not understand file sharing protocols on the PC side. The Mac sharing "just works." I keep getting issues with permissions, or, on some days, the PC just does not show up on my finder. Let me take a look at the link and try some things and I will report back.
