How build buttons that can be excuted once when mouse down, but recover to its original status when mouse up

Basically, I want to build several independent buttions. When one button gets the mouse down event, some code is excuted once, but when mouse up, the button go to its original status, and wait for the next click.,
this should be pretty simple in other languages (C++, or Java), anyway, I feel so hard to figure it out in Labview.
Any help will be greatly apprecitated!

RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

All of the apps I have found on the App store either do not have the text to speech capability or if they have it they will only read a page at a time or simply read the text you paste into their window. I really do not understand what is so difficult about having this feature as Kindle provides it--though Amazon does not make the feature available on its iPhone 4 app.

thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.

I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.

I am trying to create a disc of player highlights for a collegiate coach, and I am using movie files downloaded to my hard drive from a DVD created on a PC.

No unfortunately it won't open in quicktime either. It does the same thing that Imovie does, separates it into two file folders audio and video, and if i select video it opens to reveal 8 files that cannot be selected. VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB,VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VB, VTS_01_3.VOB. All of which cannot be opened or selected.
Opening it in Idvd and folllowing your suggestion works and I get a format code of NTSC. Is that the same? Thank you for your time and response.

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

Don't you mean Photos or are you still using iPhoto with 10.10.3?
Normally one gets the preview version of a photo or the edited version if it's been edited when dragging from a thumbnail to the Desktop. Don't know how you would have gotten small thumbnail versions.

Is there a quick delete button that can be added next to emails?

When reading through emails in Thunderbird there are some emails that I know I don't want to read and would rather quickly delete them without having to click on the email itself.
What I am looking for is a quick delete button similar to the 'star' button that can be added as a column. I would like a button that sits next to message titles in the email pane that allows me to quickly delete messages.
Microsoft Outlook (windows mail) has something like this on all messages and I would like if that functionality would be replicated in Thunderbird.

Want my JFrame to be the *only* one that can end the program when closed

Hi all,
I have an application that is essentially a launcher for other applications -- it's a holder to allow us to demo our work and other Java examples (not necessarily our work). The launcher will either run methods to launch an application or will find a class's main method and invoke that.
In all cases, the other applications open up their own JFrames, separate from my launcher (this is a good thing). The problem is that, in general, the other JFrames are set to EXIT_ON_CLOSE. This means that if the user closes the second window, everything will close.
Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? I'd like either a way to say that my JFrame is the only one that can exit the program when closed, or to say globally that JFrames can't exit on close, and then re-work my initial frame so that it is still able to exit.
Note that changing all the other applications so that they do not include the EXIT_ON_CLOSE line is not an option (several of the applications we have the right to use, but not the right to modify, for instance).
Any thoughts?

So I think that launching a new JVM may be the only option.... Any advice on how to do this? I'm a little stuck with the ProcessBuilder stuff above.

I guess I was thinking this as a process-oriented question (I had already been thinking of the "different JVM" tactic), but the other option was to think of it as a pure-swing problem, like your solution above. Guess I should have just cross-posted -- everyone loves that! ;-)

Didn't have time to do more than skim, but 'Ardour' looked promising. Protools is the only one I've used, the full product is one of the industry standards, but the free 'lite' version listed here seems to be limited to 2 in/out as well.
Referring to your original post, I'd think trying to write or 'script' something would be a nightmare ... synchronisation of streams within something like Applescript would be a major issue, quite apart from anything else.

Hello. My user ID to login into Application Designer is "PSADMIN". I just set up PIA. "http://localhost/psp/ps/?cmd=login" can get to PeopleSoft signon page, and I use "PSADMIN" to login. I can open all of web pages after login. "PSADMIN" is access profile and user profile.
But after I create a role "newUser" and assign a permission list to the Role, then link the role "newUser" to user profile "PSADMIN", I cannot open most of the web pages after login into PeopleSoft signon page using "PSADMIN". The system come up the message: " You have no access to the Navigation collection. Please contact your Portal Administrator".
Can any folks tell me how to recover user profile "PSADMIN" to its original status so that open all of web pages after login ?

go into PIA using a root user like VP1 or PS and delete what u added to PSADMIN.
if u have locked ur root user by any chance ... unlocked using back end.
PSOPRDEFN TABLE , unlock root user using update acctlock .
then login using that and make changes to PSADMIN. or else simply from the backend u can delete the added role from PSADMIN profile using same table.

Hey I just put an ad on one of my sites. It connects to the co.'s site and I would like to know how many times it is clicked.
I control the google stats and could do an overlay however I have never found those overlays accurate. How can I create a link that I can count.

There is no practical way to do this using Actions or Javascript on the client side. However, some ISPs have a visitor page counter that can be used to count hits on your page. You might be able to use the same code to record hits on a button with a link. Every time the button is clicked the hit counter increments. The hit display can be hidden from view except on a special page designed to display the counters. I did this for several real estate agent clients of mine in order to monitor hits on certain pages. I could see all the hit counters for all the pages on a special page I set up.
