i have succefully restored by back up whrn i bought nee i5 using my apple id but now i noticed there is some1 else id being shown in alternate apple id which i have no clue of) secondly when i recieved storage full email at my apple id from icloud team, dame alternate id was mentioned in the end of email. is he getting my back up data? How can i remove that id?

I Have tried alot but it doesnt give any option to change edit or delete alternate apple id being shown. It allows to to edit my prinary apple id or add alternate email addresses byt my query remains there. Im seeing an alternate apple id in my profile which doesnt belong to me.

I've inherited a Macbook Pro that shipped with Lion installed. The app store is showing three updates for iPhoto, GarageBand, and iMovie. When I try to update them it request the password for the Apple ID for the person who set up the Macbook. These apps came with Lion which came with the Macbook. I could reload the OS but that would wipe out my configuration. How can I change the Apple ID to reflect me as the new owner so I can update the apps included with Lion? If you know the seller, then maybe it can be done; according to the licensing agreement, if you sell/gift a Mac which came with Lion preinstalled, you are allowed to make a one time transfer of your software license. That would involve a call to Apple (I've not had to do this, but I've read that you need to call Apple and explain that you wish to transfer the Lion license from xxxxx to xxxxxx - don't know if it involves name/address or any other info). So, if your seller is willing to do this, and Apple re-registers the MBP in your name, you shouldn't have to do anything. You may want to check into this because it also may play a role when there is an OS update - not sure that you'll be able to get that with your different Apple ID.

Create a new Apple ID for the second phone. If you are setting the phones up as new phone enter the ID you want to use on each phone.
If both phones are already signed in to one Apple ID then use the settings app to change Apple IDs on one phone.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on the Apple ID > sign out > sign in with alternate Apple ID.
Note that if you have downloaded apps with the original Apple ID on the phone with the new Apple ID, those apps will still be associated with the old Apple ID and will require the old ID and password in order to update them.

If you want to move to a new, separate iCloud account you have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Deleting the account will only delete it from your phone, not from iCloud. This will not effect other devices still using the account. Also, you can continue to share your ID for the iTunes and App stores even though you will have a different ID for iCloud. They do not need to be the same.
To begin, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, if you have any data in either iCloud account that you no longer want (such as someone else's contacts) you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it.

Correct, the second disc contains the iLife suite. You can customize which components of iLife are installed (iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, Garageband, iWeb) outside of when you install the OS.
If you erase the HD it's all or nothing, it'd be a full wipe of all data, applications, and system files.
Given the steps provided for renaming the folder in that kBase article that's much easier than reinstalling the OS. Heck, I didn't realize it was so easy for 10.5/10.6!

Are you trying to change the Apple ID associated with your iCloud account? If so, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
