How can 2 apple id's 2 iPhones share a single computer

how can 2 apple id's 2 iPhones share a single computer?
My wife has a 4s and I just got a 5.  We have a single iMac with a single iPhoto account.
I am curcious about how Photo Stream will interact with iPhoto, how iCloud will work, etc.
What do I have to watch out for?
Thanks.

The best thing to do is for each of you to have your own iCloud account. You can still both share an AppleID, which will let you both share iTunes purchases. But with separate iCloud accounts you can keep your contacts, emails, and calendars separate. With ios6 you can create a photo stream to share with each other.
Here is some good info on the subject

  • How can I sync playlists from my iphone to a new computer?

I have a new Macbook Pro. I transfered the content of my itunes folder from my previous laptop to the new machine but playlists did not transfer. Now I have my playlists on my iphone but want to sync to new computer but Itunes warns me that if I sync my data on the phone will be replaced by the data on my computer, which I do not want to happen because then i would lose my playlists. How can I sync from the iphone to the computer?

    Hi,
I have just transferred my iTunes library from PC to new MacBook Pro and I have an inkling that you may not have copied over your iTunes library files properly from your old library. If you copy over your old library files properly (iTunes library and xml library file- found in iTunes folder on computer)then it should re-create all of your old playlists, ratings etc on new machine. There are lots of postings on this support forum and internet about transferring iTunes library to new computer, may help if you give a bit more detail about how you copied over library in first place and then work from there.

  • How can I sync apps from my iphone to a new computer

I did a restore today on my 3G. When I synced it to my new laptop (After a backup) my Iphone is now missing all my apps.
I tried to resync it to my old computer and its saying im not permitted to do that. Can I get my apps off my old computer and into my new computer so when I sync they all return onto my phone?
    Thanks

Yes - they are in ~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications. First, in iTunes > Store menu, select Authorize Computer, then make sure you're signed into your iTunes Store account. Then copy the apps over from the old computer (use a flash drive, target disk mode, etc.). Then sync your iPhone to the new computer.

  • How can I download music from my iphone to my new computer?

My old computer died and I got a new computer and want to download all of my music from my iphonne to my computer.  How do I do this?  I can't figure it out.  Please help!

The sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases:  File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Have you failed to do this?

  • How can i get music off my iphone onto my new computer without the music on both having songs deleted?

I have a new computer and have put some music on it before I hooked up my iPhone. So now I have some music on my iPhone that I don't have on my computer and I don't want to 'sync' and lose some of the music on my iPhone.  So I would appreciate it if someone could help me out with getting the music off my iPhone and adding it to my new iTunes??

The syncing of music is not a true sync process - not really a sync at all. It is a transfer process. No iTunes content in your iTunes library will ever be touched or removed by syncing an iDevice.
Where is your old computer - the one with your iTunes library that was used to sync with your iPhone? Why didn't you transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer along with all other important data such as documents, photos, etc.?
If your old computer is still available, transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer per the instructions included with this link. This will prevent any iTunes content from being removed from your iPhone with the first sync with iTunes on your new computer.

  • HT4236 how can i remove pics in my iphone labeled "from my Computer"?

My iphone is pretty full; i noticed that i have an abundance of pics from my PC that uploaded to my iphone.  i have tried different ways to remove these photos but no luck

You have to sync them off using iTunes.  Connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and uncheck the photos you no longer want on your phone (or uncheck Sync Photos to remove them all).  Then click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone.

How can I transfer contacts from my iPhone to a new iPad with another Apple-ID?

You can't. Not directly anyway. You might be able to import them to your computer and then sync them to the iPad but there is no way to transfer them over the air or by connecting the two devices with a cable.
I know absolutely nothing about apps like this, but I did a very quick Google search and found this.

  • I have two iPhones and an iPad under same Apple ID. How can I change one of the iPhones to a separate id?

I have 2 iPhones & an iPad under 1 Apple ID. How can I change 1 of the iPhones to a separate account?

Sign out of the Apple ID on the device in question, making sure to disable the Find My iDevice feature.
Sign in with the new Apple ID.
If the intent is to sell the device, simply restore as new after disabling the Find My iDevice and signing out.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
As far as I know you can't, which sort of makes sense, it seems logical to pause whatever you are doing while you take a phone call, which after all is the primary function of a phone.

  • How can I transfer some of my iTunes songs from my computer to my husband's iPhone who has a different apple ID.

How can I transfer some of my Itunes songs from my computer to my husband's iphone?  He has a different apple ID and every time I do this, my IMac says it will erase and sync.  I've checked the manual manage box but no luck.

What does the iPhone have to do with anything?
Don't plug yoru iPhone into his computer.
Do I need my iPhone to do it or can I do it from iMac to iMac? Thanks for any help.
So you have two different computers?
Just enable Home Sharing and he can copy the songs from you iTunes to his then he can sync his iPhone to his iTunes.
