How can a calendar completely disappear?

Every few months I have an issue with iCal. One or more of my calendars COMPLETELY disappear. I have an iPhone with a list of calendars on the phone and on iCloud. The iCal application on my laptop only has iCloud. Calendars seem to magically vanish from iCloud while they remain on my phone. It's driving me crazy!!! I'm about to look for a different calendar app to use. Any suggestions? I need my MacBook Pro to sync with my iPhone.

The calendar "Work" was on my MacBook and iPhone Calendar until yesterday morning. On my iPhone, it's listed in "ON MY IPHONE" list but not in "ICLOUD". If I understand correctly, if the only list I have on my MacBook is iCloud, then it must have been in iCloud. What I don't understand is how it suddenly vanished from ICLOUD. ALL of my meetings - basically my whole work life - literally vanished. This is not the first time. It happened a few several months ago and I can't remember how we got it back.

How can recipients submit completed PDF forms using a MAC?

We have created fillable PDF forms using LiveCycle Designer 8.0. They include
submit buttons that are set to submit the completed forms as PDFs. Rights have been extended for Adobe Reader users. They work great when the recipient is using a PC, but when they are using a MAC we have a number of problems:
1) the Print and Submit buttons do not work
2) when the recipient saves and e-mails the file manually, the data they entered is only visible when you click on that field
Help! How can our MAC recipients submit their completed form as a PDF that displays all of the data!

Thanks Niall. This information proved really helpful in confirming the problem. We ran some tests and the problem does seem to only occur when MAC recipients are using Preview.

How can I hide completed To Do items in printed List format?

I have iCal configured to hide completed To Do items. When I print my calendar in List view, however, iCal prints those competed and hidden To Do items. Why can't I hide completed items in List view as I can in Calendar view. Is my only option to delete completed items instead of merely hiding them?

"Go to Today" shows all due tasks for all lists, but is there some way to hide future tasks in a specific list?

I cannot delete any completed jobs in the printer window. There are now 265 completed jobs sitting there. How can I delete them? Delete button doesn't do it. Is there another way?

I put office for MAC on my macbook air--it somehow shows up twice and documents load out there depending on which one you pick. I need to get all of the office installiations off and reinstall but it appears to leave one out there. When I go to applications I cannot see it but I can see it on the icon line on the bottom of the screen. How can I reinstall Office for Mac so there is only one installation on my computer ?

Unfortunately the information given to you by r8er is incorrect, deleting the Office folder from Applications only partially uninstalls Office.
Here are the correct uninstallation instructions for you.

Hello everyone! I just had the weirdest problem!
First of all: I am currently working on a big paper, and saving regularly, in order not to loose anything. My doc is also saved in Google Drive.
On Sunday I worked normally on my paper and saved it. On Monday I worked on it and wrote an additional page for it. Also, I made an image from data in Excel, and then added it to my text.
Today I open my folder to check my document and the first weird thing that I noticed was that the "Date Modified" didn't say yesterday, but it had Sunday's date. The version from Monday isn't there/completely missing, the image I created in Excel is in my images folder, so this activity is there, but the newest word doc version isn't!!!
One day's work is completely gone! I also checked recent files, but all files in there only show changes from 2 days before (Sunday) or from today (Tuesday), and NOTHING yesterday (Monday). No activtity at all. It's as if I had not added any text at all yesterday... if somebody knows anything, help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I merged my dad's iphone to my Apple ID a while back because he wants to buy an app and I have some credit left over so I let him used my ID on his device. Apparently, all my contacts, pictures from photo stream, and ical are now also in his device. And all his contacts, pictures, and ical are on mines. How can I remove his device from my icloud and Apple ID WITHOUT deleting anything? Like I just don't want him to get anymore of my reminders and contacts, and pictures? Because I'm afraid taht if I remove his iphone on my icloud, all the pictures/contacts/ical that he took and went to my device too will be deleted because those are some important pictures/contacts/ical?
I tried to manually delete some of my dad's contacts that was shared on my phone, it turns out that it got deleted on his phone as well and vice versa. How can I just completely cut him off of my icloud and ID without losing any of my and his contacts/pics/etc?

As Apple has yet to upgrade iCalendar so I can check off my events as I complete them (no, I do not want to use a task list/reminder list), I want to be able to move my events to my "completed" events calendar as I complete them. The issue is that most of my events are repeating events, and it changes the entire series. How do I change only the event I clicked on using my iPhone?

If you change anything in a repeating calendar entry it will give you the option of disconnecting it from the series. So may any random change, choose to not change the series.
