How can a labview acquisition/output be triggered by matlab?

i hope to find a way that matlab can control the start of a simultaneous analog input and output. triggering seemed like the most logical, but i have not been able to find a way to carry this out.

One way to do this is to use the ActiveX automation interface of
LV. Write a LV VI that performs the Data Acquisition, and write a
small script to call the VI. The automation interface allows you
to open a connection to a VI in advance, and call the Run method
to execute the VI. Prior to Calling Run, you can write to controls
to pass in parameters, and following the completion, you can read
back the parameters.
Another approach, a bit easier if using LV6, is to build a DLL from
the VI and simply call the DLL.

Hi Ram,
You can go to transaction ST04(if you are authorised)...
Now select 'Detail analysis menu' button.
Now select SQL Request button under 'Resource consumption by' section.
Now in the ' SQL statement pattern by ' field , give the part of the select statement you want to check.
Now press execute.
Now select the line item displayed and goto menu option <b>Goto->Explain SQL</b>.
It will give you the execution plan for the particular SQL statement.
From here you can get the index values from INDEX RANGE SCAN statement in this output.

How can I limit Analog Output to positive only?

Hi everyone,
I'm using PXI 7350 and UMI 7774 for controlling a DC brushless motor,
the problem is that the drive for the motor only supports positive voltage input ( to adjust motor's velocity).
So how can I limit the output voltage to positive ?
I'm new to labview and I have been confused by this problem for a long time , so it will be geat if there's any example vi of that !

What are you using for feedback? If you are only moving in one direction, then you don't have to worry about limiting the analog to positive, the controller will take care of that.

You might already know; but for the driver program; a smartform is just a function module.
(In the smartform; this function module name can be found in the menu tab Environment -> Function Module Name.)
Note: The FM 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME' is obviously the correct way of getting the FM name from the smartform name !!
So all you need to do is call this function module passing any variable / tables you need to pass to the smartform from your driver program.

check in NACO transaction if you have assigned access sequence to your output ytpes and if you have ticked checkbox "Access to output conditions" - otherwise it will not even try to access condition records.
From help :
Access to output conditions
Indicates whether the system determines the output by searching for valid
condition records.
Procedure
If you want the system to search condition records for the appropriate
output, mark the field.
Note
If you leave the field blank and if you are processing sales, shipping,
or billing documents, the system automatically determines output from
information stored in the customer master record.

How can I disable the output of the domain name after a getent request?

I use an iPlanet DS 4.13 to resolve the hostnames to IP-adresses in my company network. I have several scipts in use which use the getent command to resolve name to IP, but if I do a 'getent hosts hostname' I get an output like this:
123.123.123.123 hostname.domainname
How can I disable the output of the domainname? I just want to get back the IP-adress and the hostname?!

The enrty in Ur DS for name to ip resolution might
have been given in the format "hostname.domainname" for the hostname.so if U remove the domainname it would resolve to the host name only.Check the attribute field in Ur directory server where U've entered the hostname.

How to delay the acquisition from the triggering on MIO DAQ devices?

I run a PCI-MIO 16E board with Measurement Studio VB. I know how to trigger the acquisition (CWAI) from a pulse or external signal but I don't see a command or property to delay the acquisition from the triggering signal.
Any clue?

The only way to accomplish that is by inserting one of the general purpose counters in between the external trigger and the trigger source of the analog input task.
You need to configure the counters to do retriggerable pulse generation and route that counter output to be the trigger signal of the Analog Input task. By doing that, you will be able to configure the delay you want as the delay of the pulse generated by the counter.

How can I put an output stream (HTML) from a remote process on my JSF page

Hello,
I've a question if someone could help.
I have a jsf application that need to execute some remote stuff on a different process (it is a SAS application). This remote process produces in output an html table that I want to display in my jsf page.
So I use a socket SAS class for setting up a server socket in a separate thread. The primary use of this class is to setup a socket listener, submit a command to a remote process (such as SAS) to generate a data stream (such as HTML or graphics) back to the listening socket, and then write the contents of the stream back to the servlet stream.
Now the problem is that I loose my jsf page at all. I need a suggestion if some one would help, to understand how can I use this html datastream without writing on my Servlet output stream.

The system exec function is on the Communication palette. Its for executing system commands. On my Win2K system, the help for FTP is:

Click ftp commands in the Related Topics list for a description of available ftp subcommands. This command is available only if the TCP/IP protocol has been installed. I use tftp all of the time to transfer files in a similar manner. Test the transfer from the Windows command line and copy it into a VI. Pass the command line to system exec and wait until it's done.

HOW can I get a STATUS OF TRIGGERs TO FIRE CORRECTLY ???

Hi all,
I had trouble with a migrated DB (7.3.4 -> 9.2.04) why all important TRIGGER did not fire (Business Rules).
I could see all TRIGGERS WAS VALID with:
SELECT a.object_name FROM all_objects a
WHERE a.object_type = 'TRIGGER'
AND a.status = 'INVALID'
AND a.owner = Decode(Upper('SCHEMA'), 'ALL',a.owner, Upper('SCHEMA'));
but they DID NOT FIRE !!! (After recompiling all works well)
This is a production DB and I must:
- simulate this state - HOW can I do it ?
- HOW can I select this TRIGGER STATE in my PRODUCTION
system to re-compile this triggers ???
I must prevent this state on triggers before the user writes data from Forms to the Database:
if NOT TRIGGER_FIRE('Trigger') then RECOMPILE('Trigger'); end if;
Has anyone a good solution ?

Are you sure the triggers have been correctly imported? That they have been imported in the right user schema?
I remember having some problems with triggers when importing in an Oracle 8.0.5 database: the triggers got to be on tables in another schema.
And are they enabled?
Check the sys.all_triggers view:
select * from all_triggers where owner = &my_schema
and see the status column if it is "ENABLED".

How can I get the output of graphical mapping as an input to java mapping?

Hi Experts,
I am using graphical mapping in my scenario to get an xml at the end, now after this i want to use java mapping and then do encryption on this input. I am using both the mappings in the same interface
Here the thing is, the input to the java mapping should be the output of the first graphical mapping.
How can I link the java mapping and graphical mapping so that Ill get the output of the graphical mapping as the input to the java mapping?
Some pointers to similar kind of implementations is highly appreciated.

the input to the jave mapping will be exaclty the same as if you don't have
any mapping before that
the only different is that the input will be XML of the output of the message mapping
