How can I turn one of my current iMovie videos into an FLV file?

If your movie is less than 10 minutes, you can use iMovie to Share it to YouTube then use iSkysofts free downloader to download the flv file to your Mac.

If it's longer than 10 minutes, you'll need to find converter software.
I don't do much with Flash myself so I'm not sure what to recommend. Google should help.

How can I get video media .MOD into Premiere El. 9?

Videos from my Canon 7d camera and from my Canon ADCHD camcorder (both SD cards) are .MOD files. I open Premiere Elements 9 and click GET MEDIA and it won't recognize the files. It says it cannot open the videos because:
"your system does not have the required compression/decompression codec installed."
When I bought this software a service rep assured me that it would take .MOD files. Why weren't these codecs installed with the program? How can I get these videos to work with Premiere Elements 9?

First, I apologize - I meant .MOV files, not .MOD files. I did download the Quick Time update. Then other problems arose:
Per an e-mail from a forum member, I downloaded an update of QuickTime, which should let me open .MOV files.
Inserted an SD memory card from my Canon camcorder. I selected FLASH, ADCHD... Then GET MEDIA.
Thumbnails appeared labeled MOV001.MOD and ascending numerical order. Then Premiere stopped working and a message appeared:
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\device\Harddisk1\DR1
So I must have picked the wrong device category?
I couldn't close the error message or the software so used the Task Manager to get out of it.
After a couple more tries I gave up.
Then I tried my DSLR Canon 7d CF memory card. Selected NEW FILE. Clicked on "edit settings" and chose DSLR > GET MEDIA. The downloader began. Up came another message.
Download failed because the files are TOO LARGE.
These are CR2 (RAW) PHOTOS. Do I have to change the format to .jpg or .psd in Photoshop Elements first?
Any suggestions?

with "access". But it can't achive my goal.

The only reason your Excel export works is that Excel knows how to interpret comma separated values as an input file format. Access has no such beast.
If you absolutely must provide info in an mdb, one solution would be to create an ODBC datasource pointing to an empty mdb, then push data into it using the jdbc:odbc bridge, then make a copy of the file and stream it down to the browser. You may run into some ugly file locking items here - set the ODBC connection so it is not shared, and that might help.
This one is going to be ugly.
I suppose another approach would be to write a simple VB applicatin that uses automation to create an MDB, then stream that file down to the browser from your servlet. That would almost certainly be faster than the ODBC approach.

I use Cache Viewer Revisited to save cache files & for some reason larger FLV Files won`t store in the FireFox Cache...
Even under "about cache" Large FLV Files show as 0 in size

You can try to check if the video is being fully stored by using a stand-alone cache viewer. eg. [http://nirsoft.net/utils/video_cache_view.html VideoCacheView]
Please note that this is an unknown application. Many security software may flag the site or the software as suspicious. There could be many similar applications.

You probably want to create a dialog panel that will allow the user to enter the information.
Where you store this information really depends on how much of the sequencefile needs to have access to this information.
If its global then writing it to either StationGlobals or to FileGlobals. Writting to StationGlobals means it going to be available after the execution of your sequencefile has finished. Writing to FileGlobals means its only going to be available during the execution of your sequencefile and also only in scope for the sequencefile its contained in. Unless you change the default setting so that all sequencefiles use the same FileGlobals.
To get the information to the SequenceFile will be by TestStand API calls using the PropertySetValue.
Another way would be to use the propertyloader.
There are plenty of examples either with TestStand or on the NI website on transferring data of all types from a step during execution.
This is a bit general. Maybe if you can expand on your query.

I installed MGEG Streamclip 193b8 and used their utility to install quicktimempeg2 and got a message stating it was successfully installed. (I'm on latest Maverick 10.9.2 on iMac) Then I dragged the VIDEO_TS file from my home DVD into the streamclip app. It asked which of 4 files to use, and I selected the first one. Streamclip played the video with the sound. so far so good. but now I cannot figure how to use quicktime player 10.3 to export this vob file out of streamclip.

I choose the smallest size, 3x4 but I'd prefer to go higher as this DVD was originally a VHS home movie. I'm wondering if after three conversions (VHS,->DVD->MPEG) the resolution will be so poor as to not support a larger size frame? If it can, what size should I select when I export?

As long as the videos are in a format that can be used by iMovie, they will appear in your Event Browser, under 'iPhoto Videos.'

Thanks for the response but I know how to do a screen capture but wanted to be able to capture myself interacting with the ipad ansd turn into a movie i.e. showing all the movement / animation etc as I interact.
I have now figured out a good solution. Using AirServer you can wirelessly connect you ipad to your mac/pc then using a video capture solution like Snapz Pro you can capture what you are doing to create the video.

I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...
one more bug in a complicated system I guess
