How can do I solve the problem of small display fonts with Muse?

I am trial testing Muse on my Surface Pro 3. The fonts display as very, very small maybe 3 pt. How can I correct this?

Assuming you're referring to the size of the UI text and elements, the only workaround at the moment is to lower the display resolution. Right-click the desktop and select “Screen resolution”. Then, select the desired resolution with the “Resolution” slider. I think the Surface will letterbox for resolutions that aren’t labeled, but the labeled ones should work.
We're actively working on full support for ultra high resolution displays on Windows, but unfortunately it's a substantial body of work. Until that's complete and released, the only workaround is to temporarily lower your display resolution when working in Muse (and some other non-ultra high resolution enabled apps).

  • How can I exchange all the images in a slide show with new ones

I have 18 slide shows each is a different competition for our camera club. How can I exchange all the images from each slide show with new images as our club competitions commence? I am reluctant to just delete the slide show because I will have set it all back up. I want to leave the size shape and format of the show as is, but just exchange all of the current images with new ones. I am hoping there is a quick way to delete and replace all images for each show? Each slide show has around 40 images and I have 18 shows
    thank you for your help

    1. Activate "thumbnails" in the configuration panel
    2. Select one Thumbnail.
    3. Rightclick and choose "Select same"
    4. Press "backspace"
    5. Open the configuration panel and load the new images.

  • Can anyone help me solve the problem of text displaying very rough on my new ASUS PA279Q display monitor running off my MacBook Pro?

This is regarding a brand new ASUS PA 279Q, 2560 x 1440 IPS monitor. I'm connected via mini display port (into thunderbolt port on MacBook Pro) to display port on ASUS monitor; using cable ASUS included with the monitor. Mid 2012 MacBook Pro…full specs at bottom of this post.
I have resolution set at 2560 x 1440 which is the native resolution according to the ASUS spec. I tried the other resolutions available in my System Preferences and text displayed rough with those settings too. I've tried adjusting contrast, brightness and sharpness via the ASUS control panel and didn't solve the problem. Also tried calibrating via Mac's system preferences/display and that did not improve text display either. All the text on this monitor (no matter what software I launch, Finder, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word, Excel, VMWare Windows XP, Windows versions of Word, Excel, Acrobat, etc, all are consistently rendering text the same way ---  ROUGH and with "HALOS" around each letter.
All point sizes of text and at various scales, display very rough on the screen. (My comparison is the retina display of my MBP and a Thunderbolt…so those two displays are my expectations.) I'm using the same MBP for both a Thunderbolt display (at work) and this ASUS at my home office.
On the ASUS it's not as noticeable when the text is on white backgrounds, but I'm a graphic designer and compose images with text all day everyday. Not to mention the specs on this ASUS PA279Q indicate it's built for the professional so I would expect better text rendering. I haven't even addressed color calibration and balance yet, because that won't matter to me if the text won't display any better than it is now.
I was so hopeful after researching all the specs on this monitor it would be a viable alternative to the glossy display of the Thunderbolt display. (Which, I do love the Thunderbolt display for it's clarity and how it displays crisp, clean text at all sizes. (This ASUS actually displays text decently if I increase the text so each letter is about 4" high. Which is pointless for practical purposes -- that'd be like doing page layout through a microscope!)
I kept holding off on getting a monitor for the home office thinking the Thunderbolt would be updated soon. I'd be sick if I dropped a grand on piece of 2011 technology only to learn a few days later an updated Thunderbolt display hit the market! Not to mention, I'm praying Apple comes out with a less reflective Thunderbolt display. The glare and reflection is the main reason I looked elsewhere for a large monitor; hence my asking for help. Hoping the ASUS text display issue can be worked out. My expectation is for it to display like the MBP retina and Thunderbolt display text. That possible?
Alternatively, I guess I could do the Apple Refurb Thunderbolt at $799. And see if there's a decent aftermarket anti-glare I could stick on it?
Thanks for reading my post. Hope someone can help; offer any suggestions? Words or wisdom?
Has anyone else had similar issues and figured out a resolution? Help!

    8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    OS X 10.8.5

    ASUS PA279Q

I uninstalled those two items. It still runs slow on start-up and when opening safari, firefox, iphoto, itunes, etc. It's not snappy like it used to be. Any other ideas? Thanks.

The ND is not the problem, the shooter is for under-exposing...ND or not.
Capture/convert the video to the highest-quality that you can. If all you can do is DV50, that will be okay. Make sure you use a video codec with a 4:2:2 color profile (like DV50). You will get better quality from the color-correction by using higher-quality video, like DV50, which uses twice the color information than DV25 (miniDV) to store color values.
Try the 3-Way CC and raise the gamma (middle slider) until you can't bear it anymore. Then raise the Saturation in similar fashion as the Gamma; they don't necessarily have to be the same levels. Tweak the Blacks and Whites if desired. You will have grain/video noise in the picture (as if the gain was turned up on the camera), and there are third-party filters out there for reducing that noise, but there's not much more you can do.

  • How can I sync up the calendar from Microsoft Outlook email with my ipad 2?

How can I sync up my calendar from Microsoft Outlook with my ipad 2? Or do I have to enter in all of the dates individually?

When the iPad is connected to your computer's iTunes, then on the device's Info tab you should be able to select where to sycn a calendar from - from the iPad manual :
You can sync calendars from applications such as iCal on a Mac, or from Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync calendars with multiple applications. On a PC, you can sync calendars with only one application at a time.)

  • How can I upgrade to the latest version of Minion Pro (with a full set of superior letters)?

I purchased Minion Pro a long time ago and love it, except ... it uses the ISO set of superior letters. I transcribe a lot of 17th- and 18th-century documents, and they use superior letters not in the ISO set. In Minion Pro Read Me it says that version 2.030 created 2007/08/16 has a full alphabet of superior letters. How can I upgrade from my version of Minion Pro without a full superior alphabet to a version with a full alphabet? --Thanks!

I believe you're referring to an item on Minion Pro's Release Notes document. I've checked the latest version of this family and I'm sorry to tell you that Minion Pro does not have a full set of superiors. The comment in the Release Notes is incorrect.

  • How can I turn off the blobs that keep popping up with underlined or otherwise marked words or expressions in text or menue.

Looking at web pages some key words are underlined or marked. Moving the cursor across them brings out a flag with directions to ask what it is. It is very annoying and I spend more time trying to get rid of them than enjoying the reading. This was not there several years ago but has become increasingly frequent. How can I turn this OFF. I am not a computer expert.

Are you perhaps using Google Calendar as your main calendar service? There is an option in Google Calendar to have text alerts sent to your phone for events. Log into Google Calendar on your computer and disable that feature.
If you're using a different calendar service, see if they have a similar set up.

Therefore, I do not know where to change the address. The server is apple's server, not mine.
That is not an Apple Server, it is a Yahoo Server, the iMac did not create it, Yahoo did and supplied it to your iMac. Call Yahoo tech support so you may to verify or correct the address.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • How can I get past the problem with the Illustrator trial download?

I have tried to download the free trial multiple times and it always just freezes.  Anybody else having that problem?  Any solutions?

    mom,
Have you installed the Creative Cloud management (in the list of apps on the cloud download page, find the adobe manager. That must be downloaded and installed first. Most browsers will jump to that install when you select one of the other apps first. But some browsers are having a problem doing so. Once the manager is installed and running, you can find illustrator listed in the manager. Click the install link next to the Illustrators name. That will download and install illustrator for you)?
Beyond that, this may be one for this specialized forum (where you may be able find the answer from previous threads),

  • How I managed to solve the problems with the 1.2 iPod/7.0 iTunes Upgrade

As many of you know there are several people that have experienced a problem with or after upgrading their iPods and iTunes. While mine is not the definitive answer, it is one that worked for me and I hope that by sharing this, many will receive a benefit.
This applies mainly to Mac users as my platform is MAC OS X based.
    Proceedure:
    1. Download the stand alone copy of iTunes 7.0
    2. Repair disk permissions. (I found that many of my iTunes permissions were in error after my initial upgrade to 7.0 directly via iTunes)
    3. Perform a hard reset on your iPod (Menu and select buttons)
    4. If your iPod is connected or disconnect it doesn't really matter, just make sure that it is ejected and not being used by iTunes.
    5. Install itunes again.
    6. Now iTunes is installed, it should see your iPod. (It may or may not try to sync. If is syncs let it, if not repeat step 3 with the iPod connected. This should facilitate it being seen by iTunes)
    7. Perform a restore.
    8. Just sit back and wait until it installs all the info back.
I tried this method and it worked. My iPod and iTunes are in perfect unison as before.
    Hope this helps

Don - Specifically, what problems were you having before your fix? I'm able to upgrade my 60GB iPod to firmware 1.2, but then it gets the scrambled screen and freezes. I downgraded to 1.1.2 and re-loaded 1.2 with the same results. So far I haven't located any fixes for this problem, which could be hardware related.
