How can each child have their own ipod touch and share my current library yet have their own sign in??

I recently purchased and ipod touch for each of my children. I logged onto itunes set up my son's and now when I tested and he sends me a message from his ipod to my iphone it comes through with my name? I understand I used my apple ID but how can I share my library of music with them, but when they use their devices their names will appear and not mine.
Maybe I am missing something here but I could really use some help. I have 1 more to set up.

After hours of research and trial I think I can help you. You need to get each of your kids an email address (I use zoobuh) and then set them up with an Apple ID. Once they have an apple ID you will go into Settings. For Messages and FaceTime you will need to change the ID to their instead of yours..... I think I had to turn them "off" and then back on again.

- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

If iTunes does not see your iPod then your only hope is a data recovery company. Not cheap.
However, you may be able to get some photos by:

You can't. The SN will only help identify the iPod as yours IF it is recovered.

Photos synced from computer to ipod are one way only - computer to ipod. As they came from your computer in the first place, they should still be there.
Pics taken with ipod are imported as with any digital camera.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
